Mr. Brian Melcher

Mr. Brian Richard Melcher, 41, of Walkersville, died Friday, June 14, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
He was the husband of JoAnne Elaine Melcher, his wife of 20 years.
Born Aug. 30, 1960, in Cheverly, he was a son of Donald Vincent and Norma Jean Fletcher Melcher of Chesapeake Beach.
Mr. Melcher was an engineer with Verizon for 21 years, working at the Beltsville office.
He loved soccer and coached his son's team in area youth leagues.
Mr. Melcher enjoyed working in his yard, going camping, and working on and cleaning his cars.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are one son, Michael William Melcher of Walkersville; one daughter, Carolyn Elaine Melcher of Walkersville; one sister, Cheryl Ann Lewis and husband Jeff of Beltsville; maternal grandmother, Vivian Inez Fletcher of Chesapeake Beach; mother- and father-in-law, Jim and Betty Parsons of Fredericksburg, Va.; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, including nephew and godson, Dale Anthony Lewis of Beltsville.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, June 17, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Funeral services will be held there at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 18. The Rev. Joy Zepp of Glade Valley Church of the Brethren will officiate.
Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.

Mr. Robert Gray Sr.

Mr. Robert Lee Gray Sr., 56, of Libertytown, died Saturday, June 15, at his home.
He was the husband of Hazel Mae Gray.
He was born Oct. 23, 1945, in Colesville.
Mr. Gray had worked as a house painter.
Surviving in addition to his wife are five children, Robert Lee Gray Jr. and wife Patty, Charles Edgar Gray and wife Jeannie Welty, and Melinda Ann Christian and husband Eugene Jr., all of Mount Airy, Rose Angela Gray and husband Emory Mowell of Monrovia, and Tina Marie Hacunda and husband Paul of Frederick; nine brothers and sisters, Rose Christian of Milford, Va., Charles Gray of Florida, Lucian Gray and Grover Gray, both of Georgia, Penny Gray, Emiline Sexton, and Richard Gray, all of Mount Airy, Patricia Sexton of Hancock, and Sissie Gray of Greenbelt; and 12 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, at Pumphrey's Colonial Funeral Home, 300 W. Montgomery Ave., Rockville.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Family cemetery, Derwood.
Mrs. Daisy Bristow

Mrs. Daisy K. Bristow, 104, of Mount Airy, formerly of Falls Church, Va., died Saturday, June 15, at College View Nursing Home, Frederick.
She was the wife of the late Glen Bristow.
Born May 22, 1898, in Rhea County, Tenn., she was a daughter of the late Jas A. and Mattie Burdette Kennedy.
Mrs. Bristow was a lifelong active church member. She also was active in senior citizen work in Arlington County, Va.
She enjoyed playing the organ, sewing, and making crafts and ceramics. She had received blue ribbons for her work.
Mrs. Bristow had attended Grandview Normal Institute in Rhea County, Tenn.
Surviving are one daughter, Billie B. Baxter and husband Elwood of Mount Airy; one sister-in-law, Lillie May Stout of Rockwood, Tenn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bristow was preceded in death by two sisters, Stella Norman and Della McCann; and two brothers, Edward and Elmer Kennedy.
There will be no services or viewing in Maryland.
Graveside services will be held Friday, June 21, in Oak Grove cemetery, Rockwood.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Green Valley, P.O. Box 1, Monrovia, Md. 21770.
Arrangements are by Olin L. Molesworth Funeral Home, Damascus.
Mr. Glenn Ridenour

Mr. Glenn Leon Ridenour, 77, of 75 Meadow Lane, Boonsboro, formerly of Middletown, died Friday, June 14, at the University of Maryland Hospital.
He was the husband of Ruth V. Ridenour, whom he married
Oct. 20, 1947.
Born Aug. 1, 1924, in Boonsboro, he was a son of the late Paul Reel and Mary Albertha Gross Ridenour.
Mr. Ridenour graduated in 1943 from Boonsboro High School.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army.
Mr. Ridenour retired as a mechanic from Fort Detrick in 1980, after 33 years of federal service.
He was a member of Mount Nebo United Methodist Church, Boonsboro.
Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, John L. Ridenour and wife Debbie of Boonsboro; one daughter, Joann Franklin and husband Dick of Middletown; one sister, Albertha Hoffman of Mount Airy; and four grandchildren, Jennifer Morgan and David Fling, both of Frederick, Christina Fling of Hagerstown, and Amy Ridenour of Boonsboro.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 17, at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, with the Rev. Patricia A. Drake officiating.
Interment will be in Boonsboro cemetery.

Mrs. Hazel Fisher

Mrs. Hazel Olive Fisher, 91, of 4243 Fishers Hollow Road, Myersville, died Saturday, June 15, at her home.
She was the wife of Oscar William Fisher, who died in 1963.
Born Aug. 2, 1910, in Hawbottom, she was a daughter of the late John Skip and Nellie Kinna Summers.
Mrs. Fisher was employed as a cook with George Hamilton, John Marsha and at the Frederick truck stop until her retirement.
She was a member of Harmony Church of the Brethren, Myersville.
Surviving are five children, Martha Pryor and husband Bob of Frederick, Patsy Zeigler, and Ray W. Fisher and wife Nancy, all of Middletown, Harold Fisher and wife Angie of Myersville, and Judy Abel and husband Charles of Hagerstown; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Fisher was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Fisher; and a daughter, Mary Jane Zepp.
Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, at Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, at Harmony Church of the Brethren, Myersville. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services. Mrs. Fisher's pastor, the Rev. Tracy L. Wiser, and her former pastor, the Rev. Leon Yoder, will officiate.
Interment will be in Harmony cemetery, Myersville.

Mr. Halbert Robertson

Mr. Halbert Ezra Robertson, 78, of 118 S. Clear Ridge Road, New Windsor, died Saturday, June 15, at his home.
He was the husband of Gertrude Bankerd Robertson, his wife of 27 years. His first wife, Cora A. Robertson, died in 1973.
Born Jan. 2, 1924, in New Windsor, he was a son of the late Jesse and Lela Marion Baker Robertson.
Mr. Robertson served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Cannon Co. B in the European theater.
He was formerly employed with Medford Grocery Co., then with Southern States Carroll Petroleum for 24 years, retiring in 1976 as the manager.
Mr. Robertson was an active member of the Knights of Pythias Charity Lodge 58 of Westminster, Mountain City Lodge 29 of Frederick, and Mountain City Temple 14 of Frederick. In 1991, he was the grand chancellor of Maryland.
He was a lifelong member of Brick United Methodist Church, Wakefield Valley, and attended Pipe Creek Church of the Brethren.
Mr. Robertson enjoyed bowling and traveling.
Surviving in addition to his wife are four sons, Bruce H. Robertson and wife Phyllis Lantz of Hollywood, Md., Lawrence M. Robertson and wife Debbie of West Chester, Ohio, Dean A. Robertson of New Windsor, and Robert E. Robertson and wife Sharon of Kingsdale, Pa.; three daughters, Maureen Robertson of Westminster, and Patricia Maggard and husband Allard of Littlestown, Pa., and Ellen Carbaugh and husband Ricky of York Springs, Pa.; one sister, Louise Ebaugh of Westminster; one brother, Harold Robertson of New Windsor; a sister-in-law, Doris Lindsay of Westminster; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Robertson was preceded in death by two sisters, Marian Good and Betty Slorp; and four brothers, Charles, Jesse, Jasper Woodrow and James Robertson.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 310 Church St., New Windsor.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, at Pipe Creek Church of the Brethren, near Linwood, with the Revs. Terry and Wanda Clark, church pastors, officiating.
Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg.

Mr. Kurt Martell

Mr. Kurt David Martell, 34, of Frederick, died Sunday, June 16, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born Dec. 13, 1967, in Frederick, he was the son of Louis A. and Janis Swartz Martell of Frederick.
Mr. Martell was a computer operator for Expo Exchange in Frederick. He enjoyed to travel on his weekends off.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his maternal grandmother, Louise Swartz of Frederick; an uncle, James Swartz Jr. and wife Arlene of Frederick; two aunts, Doris Hubble and husband Bill of Union Bridge, and Caroline Hurt and husband William of Libertytown; and numerous cousins.
He also will be remembered by his friend, Matt Larkins of Thurmont.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Swartz Sr.; his paternal grandparents, George and Virginia Martell; and his great-grandparents, Rueben and Ida Hall.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Hammond officiating.
Interment will be in Mount Olivet cemetery, Frederick.
Mr. John Kamrad

Mr. John Michael Kamrad, 82, of Rockville, died Saturday, June 15, at Homewood in Frederick.
He lived in Rockville for 47 years.
He was the husband of Doris Anne Kamrad, who died April 27, 2002. They were married
for 58 years.
Born Aug. 26, 1919, in New York, N.Y., he was the son of the late Michael and Rosina Kamrad.
He graduated from Atlantic City High School.
He enjoyed playing and watching sports.
Surviving are one son, Mike Kamrad and wife Mary of Apple Valley, Minn.; one daughter, Peggy Wight and husband Ralph of Frederick; four grandchildren, Michael and Katie of Minneapolis, Minn., Sarah of Frederick, and Anne-Margaret of Germany; and two great-grandchildren, Kalia and Aiyana.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, at Pumphrey's Colonial Funeral Home, 300 W. Montgomery Ave., Rockville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 20, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 520 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville.
Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery, Gettysburg, Pa., at 2:30 p.m.
