Mr. Jackie Cline Sr.

Mr. Jackie Lee Cline Sr., 64, of 6236 Manor Woods Road, Frederick, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, at his home.
He was the husband of Kathleen Gibson Cline. They had been married
42 years.
Born Sept. 19, 1937, in Garfield, he was a son of the late Albert Cline and Goldie Lewis Cline Shaw.
Mr. Cline had worked for R. F. Kline for 32 years as a heavy equipment operator and, before his illness, had been working for Van Sant Plumbing and Heating in Mount Airy.
He was a life member of the South Mountain Rod and Gun Club, Smithsburg, and was a member of the Frederick Moose Lodge 371.
Mr. Cline was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Jackie L. Cline Jr. and wife Tammy of Frederick, and Diane Leroux and husband Andre, and Karen Tobery and husband Melvin, all of Walkersville; four brothers, Benjamin Cline and wife Martha of Walkersville, and Robert Cline and wife Shirley, Dennis Cline, and Larry Cline and wife Peggy, all of Frederick; three sisters, Dorris Smith and husband Layton of Adamstown, and Marla Kay Biddinger and husband Ronald, and Sharon Eckenrode and husband Ronald, all of Frederick; a half-sister, Glendora Smith and husband Walt of Colorado; and a sister-in-law, Thelma Pickett and husband J.R. of Boonsboro; two grandchildren, Daniel Eaton and Kyle Tobery, both of Walkersville; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mr. Cline will also be remembered by his friend Skip Coale of Adamstown.
Mr. Cline was preceded in death by a sister, Margaretta Tyeryar.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Marnia Flores, pastor of Manor Lutheran Parish, officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.

Mr. Weldon Shank Sr.

Mr. Weldon B. "Pappy" Shank Sr., 88, of Waynesboro Pike, Fairfield, Pa., died Wednesday, Feb. 6, at his home.
He was the husband of Pauline Baumgardner Shank, his wife of 66 years.
Born Dec. 7, 1913, in Hinton, Va., he was a son of the late Wilmer O. and Edna Baxter Shank.
Mr. Shank was a member of Elias Evangelical Lutheran Church, Emmitsburg, where he taught Sunday school for many years.
He was a 1932 graduate of Emmitsburg High School, and attended Gettysburg College, Gettysburg, Pa., where he joined the Reserve Officers Training Corps.
Mr. Shank worked for his father at Shank's Flour and Feed Mill, which he purchased from his father in 1938 and continued to operate.
He loved to make music and could play many instruments. He played bass horn in the Emmitsburg Community Band and the Shank Family Band, and sang in the Emmit-Wayne Quartet.
Mr. Shank was an airplane pilot and avid hunter most of his life.
He was a member of Tyrian Masonic Lodge 205, A.F.&A. Masons, for 50 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are nine children, Weldon B. Shank Jr. of Everett, Pa., Nina Dolly of Gettysburg, Wendell Shank, Wilmer Shank, William Shank, Nora Whitney and Nita Shank, all of Fairfield, Wallace Shank of Black Hawk, Colo., and N. Victoria Smith of Frederick; 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Leo Shank of Frederick.
Mr. Shank was preceded in death by three brothers, Odell, Roscoe and C.B. Shank; and two grandsons, Rodney and Ronald Shank.
There will be no viewing.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, at Elias Evangelical Lutheran Church, Emmitsburg, with the Rev. W. Ronald Fearer officiating.
Interment will be in Emmitsburg Memorial cemetery, Emmitsburg. The family will receive friends at Elias Lutheran Church parish hall immediately following interment services.

Mrs. Janet Russell

Mrs. Janet R. Russell, 55, of Gaithersburg, died Thursday, March 21, at her home, after a long illness with cancer.
She was the wife of Robert T. Russell Sr. They were married
in 1964.
Born Sept. 4, 1946, in Frostburg, she was a daughter of George and Gladys Loar of Lonaconing.
Mrs. Russell was an administrative specialist working with advisory committees at the National Institute of Standards and Technology since 1973. Previously, she served in various secretarial positions at all levels throughout the organization, most recently as the secretary to the deputy director of NIST. She received the Eugene Casson Crittenden Award and the Department of Commerce Bronze Medal.
Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are two children, Robert T. Russell Jr. and Dawn Rene Hurley, both of Germantown; her daughter-in-law, Debra Foster Russell; her son-in-law, Ralph Emory Hurley; two grandsons, Tyler Robert Russell and Foster Thomas Russell; one brother, the Rev. George Loar of Frostburg; four sisters, Margaret Bradley and Gladys Ordaz, both of Gaithersburg, Vonna Goodwin of Frederick, and Marian Shockey of Inwood, W.Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, at Epworth United Methodist Church, 9008 Rosemont Drive, Gaithersburg.

Mr. Timothy Welty

Timothy L. Welty, 44, of Westminster, died Friday, March 22, at Carroll County General Hospital, Westminster.
Born Sept. 21, 1957, in Hanover, Pa., he was the son of Anna Mae Green Welty, of Westminster, and the late James Elwood Welty.
He was a driver for Elite Limousine Co.
He was a member of Liberty Church of Maryland, Westminster, where he sang on the Praise and Worship Team.
He graduated from Westminster High School in 1976.
In addition to his mother, he is survived a sister, Deb Liebno and husband Marty of Taneytown; maternal grandmother, Barbara Nadine Green of Mount Airy; paternal grandmother, Alberta Haines Welty of Hampstead; two nieces, April Fowble of Westminster, and Angie Lessard of Ireland; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sandy Fowble; and a brother-in-law, David Fowble.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, March 25, at Fletcher Funeral Home, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, at Liberty Church of Maryland, 1641 Old Westminster Road, Westminster, with his pastor, the Rev. Joe Ready, officiating.
Interment will be in Stone Chapel cemetery.

Ms. Denise Foreman

Ms. Denise Lenora Foreman, 42, of Frederick, died Friday, March 22, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, Rockville, after a brief illness.
Born April 13, 1959, in Frederick, she was the daughter of Helen R. Foreman of Clarksburg and the late Thomas W. Foreman.
She was a member of Norbeck Community Church, Silver Spring, but attended Pleasant Grove Community Church, Damascus; First Missionary Baptist Church, Frederick; and John Wesley United Methodist Church, Clarksburg.
She was employed by Montgomery County government.
She enjoyed singing and traveling with the Majestics Gospel Singers.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Terrence T. Foreman of Frederick; three sisters, Patricia Foreman-Sabry of Germantown, Vanessa T. Foreman and Tracey L. Foreman, both of Frederick; two nephews, Darrin A. Foreman of Germantown, and Ronald W. Cartnail Jr. of Frederick; a niece, Keana N. Cartnail of Frederick; an uncle, Roger E. Thompson of Frederick; and two aunts, Lenora Edwards of Glenridge, N.J., and Rose M. Dickason of West Virginia.
Friends may call from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, at Gary L. Rollins Funeral Home, 110 W. South St., Frederick, and from 6 to 9 p.m. at John Wesley United Methodist Church, 22420 Frederick Road, Clarksburg. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at John Wesley United Methodist Church.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Talmadge Beacht

Mrs. Talmadge A. Beacht, 89, of 117 W. C St., Brunswick, died Friday, March 22, at Edenton Assisted Living Community, Frederick.
She was the wife of the late Claude N. Beacht.
Born July 7, 1912, in Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Earl C. and Florence Schamel Grams.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Brunswick.
She is survived by a daughter, Earline Keyser of Virginia Beach, Va.; two sons, C. Edward Beacht and wife Virginia of Jefferson, and Wilson Beacht and wife Ann of Colorado Springs, Colo.; seven grandchildren, Stacy Viles, Claudia Burch, Franklin Keyser, William Beacht, Sandra White, Kimberly Beacht and Amy Beacht; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She will also be remembered by her friend, Barbara Groff of Brunswick.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Cleo Naill; and three brothers, Carlton Grams, Russell Grams and Calvin Grams.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, at John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road, Brunswick. The funeral home will be open Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at the funeral home. The Rev. Ed Jordan will officiate.
Interment will be in Park Heights cemetery, Brunswick.
Mrs. Elaine Lutz

Mrs. Elaine M. Abramczyk Lutz, 57, of Winfield, died Sunday, March 24, at St. Joseph Medical Center, Towson.
She was the wife of James G. Lutz Jr.
Born Oct. 25, 1944, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Mary Piechocki Abramczyk and the late Edward A. Abramczyk.
She was a registered nurse at St. Joseph Medical Center and Maryland Endoscopy Center, Towson
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a son, Paul T. Vanderbilt of Berlin, Germany; a daughter, Kristin M. Lutz of Winfield; four siblings, Patricia Miller of Ohio, Bennie Hickton of Baltimore, Edward Abramczyk of Las Vegas and Tony Abramczyk of Gambrills; and a granddaughter, Sophie Vanderbilt of Berlin, Germany.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, at Burrier-Queen Funeral Directors, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, at St. John's Roman Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster, with the Rev. Andy Mohl officiating.
Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society.
Mr. Reese Clabaugh Sr.

Mr. Reese LeRoy Clabaugh Sr., 64, of Frederick, died Tuesday, March 26, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 26, 1937, in Frederick County, he was a son of the late Reese E. and Emily J. Spencer Clabaugh.
Mr. Clabaugh was a member of Flint Hill United Methodist Church, and the Horseman's Benevolent & Protective Association.
He was a 1956 graduate of Frederick High School, and was formerly employed by Glade Valley Farms, C. Edward Winpigler Inc., and as an independent horse trainer. He was most recently employed as an independent sports memorabilia dealer.
Mr. Clabaugh enjoyed horse racing and training, baseball, and time spent with family and friends.
Surviving are five children, Reese L. Clabaugh and Katherine L. Gray, both of Charles Town, W.Va., James L. Clabaugh and wife Stacy of Boonsboro, Michael W. Clabaugh and wife Jessica of Baltimore, and Susan L. Clabaugh of Frederick; four grandsons, Kristopher Lee, James Clabaugh Jr., Elijah Dorsey and Dillon Clabaugh; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Clabaugh and Reesa Clabaugh; one brother, George E. Clabaugh and wife Gloria of Littlestown, Pa.; three sisters, Mary Kline and husband Dick of Woodsboro, Eleanor S. Clabaugh Winpigler and husband Hubert of Frederick, and Delores Eileen Clabaugh Walker of Benton, La.; 13 nieces and nephews; many great-nieces, including Misty D. Gerst, with whom Mr. Clabaugh resided; and many great-nephews.
Mr. Clabaugh will also be remembered by his son Reese's girlfriend, Tracey Brill of Charles Town; his daughter Susan's boyfriend, Adam Dorsey of Frederick; and his goddaughter, Debra Jane Winpigler Richmond.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 29, at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick.
Friends may also call from 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30, until the time of funeral services at noon Saturday at Flint Hill United Methodist Church, 2732 Park Mills Road, Flint Hill. Mr. Clabaugh's pastor, the Rev. Elmer R. Breeden, will officiate.
Interment will be in Flint Hill cemetery.
