He worked part-time, and after school, for Mrs. Della Beall, the owner of J.B. Beall Inc. Funeral Home of Damascus. Following graduation, he continued to help Mrs. Beall in the operation of her business. Olin then secured a job at the Warner E. Pumphrey Funeral Home in Silver Spring, for training in the mortuary field. He obtained his funeral directors license from the state of Maryland in 1946. Olin continued to serve the families of Damascus and the surrounding communities for the past 60 years, with his kind and gentle manner. Although not active in the past year, due to his declining health, he continued to keep in touch daily, from his apartment in the health care center, to know all things that were taking place at the funeral home. In 2005,
Olin wanted the community to know that the funeral home would always be there, even after his death, to serve families in the same dignified manner as it has over the years. The name was then changed to Molesworth-Williams, P.A., Funeral Home, and has been operated by his cousin, Robert Williams in his absence, who has been a director at the funeral home for over 40 years.

Olin had been a member of the Maryland State Funeral Directors Association, the National Funeral Directors Association and an honorary member of the Damascus Volunteer Fire Department, and recently received from the state of Maryland "The Governor's Citation" from Gov.
