Would be the one to die.

In our hearts and in our minds ...
His passion and his joy for life
With our lives intertwined.
We savor every moment
That we shared with one so dear
We give him to the ages
With eyes now blind with tears.
Our arms will ache to hold him
Our lips will feel bereft
No other one can ever fill
The empty space he left.
