Nancy Jo Koontz (nee Ising), age 60, of Eldersburg, died Friday December 21, 2007 at Union Memorial Hospital, Baltimore, MD. Beloved wife of 38 years to David M. Koontz of Eldersburg, she is also survived by her son Matthew D. Koontz of Catonsville, son Adam T. Koontz and his wife Danielle W. Koontz of Catonsville and granddaughters Sophia E. Koontz and Cora M. Koontz. There will be a Memorial Service at Wesley Freedom U.M Church, 961 Johnsville Rd., Sykesville on Sat. January 26, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Repetti, Anna M.
Anna M. Repetti (nee Falise), age 98, of Woodbine, formerly of Randallstown, died Wednesday January 23, 2008 at Carroll Hospice, Inc. Dove House in Westminster, MD. She was born March 27, 1909 in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late Rosario Falise and the late Rosa Valenzia Falise. She was a homemaker and devoted mother. She was the wife of the late Carl C. Repetti. She was the mother of John R. Repetti and wife Angela of Marriottsville, Rosemary Broussard and her husband Melvin Woodbine, Carl F. Repetti and wife Diane of Gamber. Loving grandmother of Carl Glenn and Michael Broussard, Christina Hedge, Jon Paul, Nicholas and Anna Repetti. Also survived by 8 great grandchildren. Funeral Liturgy (MASS) will be held Monday January 28, 2008 at 10:00 AM at St. Jude Shrine, 308 N. Paca Street (at Paca & Saratoga St). with Fr. Frank Donio officiating. Entombment Druid Ridge cemetery, Pikesville, MD. Friends may call at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA 1212 W. Robertson, Gladys
Gladys Seeders Robertson, 91 of Seabrook, MD, died January 27, 2008 at Specialty Hospital of Washington. She was the spouse of the late Ben P. Roberstson, Jr. She was born September 30, 1916 in Louisville, KY the daughter of the late Luther D. Seeders and the late Katherine Dueffeld Seeders. She was a member of and a volunteer at Life in Jesus Communtiy, near Unionville, MD. She is survivied by son : Ben P. Robertson, III of South Carolina. Funeral Services will be held Saturday February 2, 2008 12 PM at Life In Jesus Community 13830 Saint Benedict Way, Union Bridge, MD 21791. Interment will be Tuesday February 5, 2008 1:00 PM at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 402171. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Life in Jesus PO box 40 Libertytown, MD 21762.

Arterburn, William D.
William David “Dave” “Poppie” Arterburn, age 57, of Mt. Airy, died Sunday January 27, 2008 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD. He was born July 17, 1950 in Laurel, MD the son of the late William Carr Arterburn and the late Mildred Vulnerhausen Arterburn. He was a Builder contractor. He was an avid Western Rocky Mountain hunter. He was a Good Samaritan and family man. He was the husband of Judy L. Arterburn (nee Booth). He was the father of Dawn Arterburn-Cooney and husband Seth of Libertytown and Michael Arterburn and wife Amanda of Thurmont, and Christy Canterbury of Sharpsburg, MD. He was the brother of Joann Norris of Jessup. He was the grandfather of Zachary Taylor Cooney and Brittany Canterbury. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Thursday January 31, 2008 from 10:00-12:00 Noon at which time Memorial Service will begin at 12:00 noon with the Pastor Wayne Hall of Locust Grove Church of the Brethren in Mt. Lawrence, Richard L.
Richard Leroy Lawrence, age 65, of Taneytown, MD died Sunday February 3, 2008 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD. He was born April 23, 1942 in Hammond, Indiana the son of the late Russell Lawrence and the late Elnyth Winestock Lawrence. He was an Auto salesman. He was the Husband of the late Sharon J. Lansford Lawrence. He was the father of Deborah David, Elizabeth Meade and Tobi Lawrence. Private Services.

Strohmer, Florence E.
Florence Elizabeth Strohmer (nee Vesper), of Woodstock, a loving mother, aunt, and farm wife died peacefully on Monday February 4, 2008 at Northwest Hospital Center in Randallstown, with her family and friends at her bedside. She was 77 years young. Florence E Vesper was born and raised in Essex, MD. She spent most of her childhood on the family produce farm with her three sisters. She went to Kenwood HS then later graduated in 1951 from Church Home Hospital as a Registered Nurse. After graduation she worked at Hopkins, St Agnes and various hospitals throughout Baltimore and finally retiring from Baltimore County General (Northwest Hospital). During her younger years she enjoyed traveling to include driving across country to CA, NYC and trips to the beach. This independent and traveled woman finally settled down at the age of 30 to George Strohmer a local farmer in Woodstock, MD. They would have celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary this year. By 35 she had her hands full with 4 children, Bud, Dee, Richard and Brenda. Florence kept herself busy managing the farm with her husband, a dedicated supporter in Baltimore County 4-H as a Club Leader in and participated in Baltimore County Farm Bureau. Florence never tired of taking local trips around the area and entertaining the numerous guests who frequently visited the farm for words of wisdom or just to enjoy her company. Florence is survived by her husband George J. Strohmer Sr, children George Jr (Bud), Dee, Richard and Brenda Strohmer all of Woodstock, sister Eileen Hoppert of Ocala, FL, and nieces Amy Van Gulick and Beth Borkenheim and nephew Barry Hoppert. She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Albert and Elizabeth Vesper and Sisters Doris Jennewine and Shirley Vesper. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Thursday 3-5 & 7-9 PM. Hildebrand, Jr., Clarence A.
On Wednesday February 6, 2008, Clarence Albert Hildebrand, Jr., 87 of Granite, MD, died on Wednesday February 6, 2008 at Northwest Hospital Center. He was born December 11, 1920 in Towson MD. He was the son of the late Clarence A. Hildebrand, Sr. and the late Elsie Thompson Hildebrand. Mr. Hildebrand was an Engineer for the B & O Railroad and a US Army Veteran of WWII and the Korean War. Beloved husband of Doris Cecelia Hildebrand (nee Peach). Devoted father of Clarence A. Hildebrand, III, Doris and husband Bremen Mathena, William Lee Hildebrand, and Robert Scott Hildebrand. Loving Grandfather of Sherrie, Craig, Bremen, Jr., Laurie, Samantha and Jacob. Also survived by 4 great-grandchildren. Brumleve, Robert A.
Robert Anthony Brumleve, 87 of Mt. Airy, MD, died Friday February 8, 2008 at Brinton Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Sykesville, MD. Mr. Brumleve was born March 29, 1920 in Mattoon Illinois the son of the late Anthony Joseph Brumleve and the late Mable Florence Gill. He married Mary Martha Kerwin of February 15, 1946 in Springfield, IL. She predeceased him on October 19, 2005. He is also preceded in death by his brother John Edward Brumleve and his sister Isabel Stapleton. Mr. Brumleve was a graduate of Mattoon High School. And attended Springfield Junior College before entering the Army Air Corps in 1942 where he served as a Staff Sergeant in England until the end of the war in 1945. He and Mary Martha then came to Champaign, IL where he attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and graduated from the College of Commerce with a B.A. in Accountancy in 1949. He was a member of Alpha Kappa Psi professional business fraternity. After earning his degree, Mr. Brumleve began his professional career in the wholesale grocery business with the J.M. Jones CO in Champaign, IL in retail accounting for IGA grocery stores in the Central Illinois area. In 1970 he moved form Illinois to join Quinn Wholesale Co. in Warsaw, North Carolina where he continued his role as financial comptroller until his retirement in 1987. He was active in Rotary International an active Choir member and Elder of Warsaw Presbyterian Church. He was a devoted husband and father, a Sailboat and cabin builder, a golfer and an avid reader and crossword puzzle enthusiast in his spare time. He is survived by son, Dr. Timothy Robert Brumleve of Urbana, IL and daughter and son-in-law Sally and Lou Popa of Mt. Airy, MD. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jacob Daniel Brumleve of San Francisco, CA, Joseph Timothy Brumleve of Champaign, IL, William Scott Brumleve of Paxton, IL, Catherine Rebecca Roland of Champaign, IL, Abraham Anthony Brumleve of Urbana, IL, Amanda Jean Popa of Mt. Airy, MD Erin Nicole Popa of Mt. Airy, MD and one great-granddaughter : Mary Elizabeth Catherine Roland of Champaign IL. Funeral Services will take place Saturday February 16, 2008 11 AM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784. Interment will be in Pine Grove cemetery, Mt. Airy, MD The family will receive friends a the funeral home on Friday February 15, 2008 from 5 to 7 PM. Memorial Contributions may be made to The Alzheimer’s Foundation, American Cancer Society of Warsaw Presbyterian Church, Warsaw, NC.

Mullen, Deborah L.
Deborah Leigh Ballard Mullen, 51 of Everett, PA, died Tuesday February 12, 2008 at Conemaugh Memorial, Johnstown, PA She was born May 2, 1956 in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late Nora Jean and Late William Donald Ballard. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Surviving her are life partner and best friend Kenneth W. Payne of Everett, PA. Children: Debby J. and husband Raymond G. Herring, Charles D. Mullen, Jennifer M. and husband Jerry C. Seal, Jr. Grandchildren: Sade’ Herring, Jr. Herring, Mikayla Howard, Kiley Howard and Tyler McVey, and Morgan Seal and Madison Seal. Sisters: Donna J. Escobar, Cheri D. Langworthy, Melony D. Ballard-Young. Preceded in death by Brother William D. Ballard II. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5 to 7 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A. where Funeral Service will take place at 7:00 PM Inurnment will be Wednesday February 20, 2008 at Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in her name to the funeral home.

Higgs, Welborn
Welborn Higgs, age 78, of Mt. Airy, Died Friday February 8, 2008 in Mt. Airy. He was the husband of Mary Elizabeth “Betsy” Higgs (nee Kegal). He was born February 14, 1929 in Rumsey, Kentucky the son of the late Harlan Morgan Higgs and the late Sarah Marie Higgs (nee Welborn). He was employed by Supreme Equipment-now called Capus Automations Services. He was a Master Sergeant in the US Air Force for 22 years and member of Mt. Airy American Legion Post 191. Survived by wife of 33 years Betsy Higgs, Children- Chuck Higgs of Lodi, CA, Holly Lawhorn and husband Herb of Ashburn, VA, Tammy Loxton and husband John of Clifton, VA, John Keane of Sterling, VA, Tracey Kiser and husband David of Leesburg, VA and Jennifer Keane & Husband Duke Frederick of Lovettsville, VA. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by twin brother Weldon Higgs. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday February 20, 2008 at 12:00 Noon at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School). Interment will be in Pine Grove cemetery, Mt. Airy, MD. Family will receive friends at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA on Wednesday February 20th from 11:00-12:00 Noon. Robert Louis Subock, Sr., age 76, of Randallstown, died Friday February 15, 2008 at Levindale in Baltimore, MD. He was born October 11, 1931 in Hebbville, MD the son of the late John I. Subock, Sr. and the late Bertha N. Subock (nee Deitz). He retired in 1995 with 30 years of service as an Electronic Engineer for NSA Department of Defense. He was very active in the Boy Scouts of America. He was active in Holy Family R.C. Church in Randallstown. He loved reading and a lover of animals. He was a bee keeper. He was very helpful in his neighborhood. He served in the US Army form 1953-1955. He was the husband of Faith A. Subock (nee Watts). He was the father of Robert L. Subock, Jr. and wife Ellen of Owings Mills, John T. Subock and wife Lisa of Finksburg and Kathleen M. Subock of Eldersburg. Also survived by brother Dallas E. Subock, Sr. of Randallstown and another brother. Loving Grandfather of Casey N. Subock, Michele Subock and Christopher J. Subock. Funeral Liturgy (MASS) will be held Wednesday February 20, 2008 at 9:00 AM at “Old” Holy Family R.C. Church 10636 Liberty Road, Randallstown with Fr. Walter McGovern officiating.
