Heiland and the late Amelia E. Heiland (nee Cook). She was the wife of the late John Howard Whittingham. She was the President and Owner of Reinhardt Metal Company in Randallstown. She was the mother of Diana Lynn Martin and husband Drew of Reisterstown. Sister of William T. Heiland, Jr. and Wife Carolyn. Sister in law of Elsie Zimmerman, Olive and Samuel Gassaway and Dorothy Whittingham. Also survived by several nieces and one nephew, and Sabine Liebenhenz. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Tuesday 7-9 & Wed. 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Hagner, Bradley J.
Bradley J. Hagner, 29 of Westminster formerly of Baltimore County, MD., died Wednesday April 12, 2006 at his home in Westminster. He was born February 16, 1977 in Baltimore, MD the son of John Hagner of Granite and Patricia Leonard Biernack of Catonsville. Bradley’s hobbies were cars, motorcycles, Snow skiing and Music. Surviving in addition to his parents are Grandmothers: Catherine Vivian Hagner of Hanover, Pa, and Shirley Lohsen of Ocean City, MD Sisters: Valerie D. Hagner of Westminster and Alyssa Biernack of Catonsville. Also survived by nephew: Shayne C. Wilson of Westminster. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, April 20, 2006 6:30 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD. With a reception to follow at 7:00 PM at The Liberty Road Volunteer Fire Hall, 10100 Liberty Rd. Randallstown, MD 21133. Schulte, Fred W.
Fred W. Schulte of Mt. Airy, age 86, died Tuesday April 18, 2006 at Britton Woods Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Winfield, MD. He was born April 24, 1919 in Terre Haute, Indiana the son of the late Henry Schulte and the late Maude Schulte (nee Walker ). He was a retired farmer. He attended Calvary Bible Church. He was husband of Christel K. Schulte (nee Kleinschmidt) of Mt. Airy. Father of Brian P. Schulte of N.J. Brother of Lawrence H. Schulte and Helen Terstegge both of Terre Haute, Indiana. Also survived by 4 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral Service Friday April 21, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Pastor Charles Buettner of Calvary Bible Church officiating. Interment Pine Grove cemetery, Mt. Airy, MD. Marsh, Mildred M.
Mildred Mae Marsh, 88 of Mt. Airy, Formerly of Port Charlotte, FL, died Saturday, April 22, 2006 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD. She was the spouse of the late John C. Marsh who died in 1969. She was born March 19, 1918 in Pomeroy, OH, the daughter of the late Lenora Eynon Smith and the late Frank Smith. She and her husband moved from Steubenville, OH to Florida in 1964. She was a travel agent with Charlotte Travel in Port Charlotte, FL before retirement. She was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Steubenville, OH. She was a member of Port Charlotte Presbyterian Church and since moving to MD attended Taylorsville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting and reading. Mrs. Marsh is survived by Daughter and son-in-law Carol and David Blackburn of Mt. Airy, MD, 3 Grandchildren: John and wife Kim of Haymarket, VA, Elaine Rachal of Houston, TX and April Blackburn of Baltimore. 3 Great-grandchildren; Jacquie Rachal of Houston, TX and Austin and Carson Blackburn of Haymarket, Son-in-law: John Jenkins and wife Sarah Ann of Port Charlotte, 2 nephews; George Smith and Marlin Evans and 1 niece; Marsha Frecker. Mrs. Marsh was preceded in death by Daughter; Kathryn Jenkins and 2 sisters; Ada Evans. Memorial Services will be held Friday April 28, 2006 11:00 AM at Taylorsville United Methodist Church, 4356 Ridge Rd. Mount Airy, MD 21771. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Taylorsville United Methodist Church.

Macklin, Irvin J.
Irvin Jack Macklin, 81 of Reisterstown, MD., died Thursday in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Graveside Serivces will take place Monday May1, 2006 10 Am at Oheb Shalom cemetery, Berrymans Lane, Reisterstown.

Davis, Calvin C.
Mr. Calvin Coolidge Davis, 78 of Mt. Airy, MD, died suddenly on Friday April 28, 2006, at Frederick Memorial Hospital, MD. He was the spouse of Betty Lou Lamb Davis of Mt. Airy, MD. Mr. Davis was born October 9, 1927 in Woodbine, MD the son of the late Samuel G. Davis and the late Rosa R. Woodward Davis. Coolidge enjoyed long drives in the country, bluegrass music, and his cats. Bird watching, reminiscing about his army experiences and spending time with his family. Mr. Davis was a veteran of WWII serving in the occupation of Japan, Re-entered the army when the Korean War began. He served in Japan, Hawaii, Germany, France and Korea. He was awarded the Army Commendation medal, Good Conduct Medals, WWII, Victory Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Armed Forces Expeditionary medal (Korea). He retired from the Army in 1970 as a SSG-E6. He was a member of the Retired Enlisted Association and American Legion Post 223. Surviving in addition to his wife are Sons: Jeffrey Davis of Mt. Airy, Dennis Hood of Mt. Airy, Daughters: Carolyn Ayala of Baltimore, Sheree Rodriguez of Mt. Airy, Renee Dumire of Lititz, PA, Kimberly Thomas of Mt. Airy, and Kandee Wallace of New Market. Also survived by brother Carl Nelson Davis of Mt. Airy. He was preceded in death by brothers Gordon S. Davis and Wilbur A. Davis who was killed in WWII. Also surviving are 7 Grandchildren and 8 Great-grandchildren. Funeral Service was held Tuesday May 2, 2006 11 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with the Rev. O. F. “Bud” Kibbe officiating. Interment was in Poplar Springs cemetery, Poplar Springs, MD.

Ecker Jr., Charles F.
Charles F. Ecker, Jr. age 87, of Union Bridge died Tuesday May 2, 2006 at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick, MD. He was born on April 26, 1919 in Baltimore, MD the son of the late Charles Francis Ecker, Sr. and the late Adelaide Ecker (nee Schnobel). He was the husband of Mildred “Mitzi” Ecker (nee Adams) and the late Jennie M. Ecker. He was in the oil business. He was a member and Elder of Mt. Paran Presbyterian Church. He was the father of Carol Sturgeon of New Windsor. He is survived by grandchildren Kim Ravenscroft and Cheryl Wheeler, both of New Windsor and 4 great-grandsons. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews and 2 brother & sister-in-laws. Funeral Service will be held Friday May 5, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Paran Presbyterian Church 10308 Liberty Road, Randallstown, MD with Pastor Ed Terry officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. Pickett-Reed, Linda L.
Linda Lee Pickett-Reed, age 60, formerly of Sykesville, died Tuesday May 2, 2006 at Gladys Spellman Nursing Center, Cheverly, MD. She was born November 8, 1945 in Sykesville the daughter of the late William Henry Knauff and the late Edith Pearl Knauff (Pickett). She was an administrator at Montgomery County Social Services – long term care. Devoted mother of Tammy Tiffany of Mt. Airy and Bonnie Porras of Florida. Dear sister of Gail Reed of Woodbine. She was predeceased by brother Larry Wayne Pickett. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held Friday May 5, 2006 at 1:30 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with Pastor Tim Leaman of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. King, Algie D.
Algie Deets King, age 83, of Westminster, died Thursday May 4, 2006 at the Carroll Hospital Center after a lengthily illness. He was born July 28, 1922 in Clarksburg, MD ; he was son of the late Norris and Elizabeth Penner King. He retired from the Carroll County Government after working many years. He was a volunteer for 29 years at the Carroll Hospital Center. He was a member of the New Windsor Fire Dept., New Windsor Lions Club, New Windsor Senior Citizens, A.A.R.P. member and the Super Sixties of the Church of the Open Door where he attended worship services and Sunday school. He is survived by his closest family member Helen Franklin and her children: Robert and Betty Fowler of Fl, Robert and Sharon Franklin of Mt. Airy, Bill and Sonia Franklin of Crofton, MD. Grandchildren: Jeff Franklin, Gary & Sheri Maring, Michael and Shawn Franklin, Christopher and Christina Franklin, Rick and Kellye Anderson, Jay and Kara Franklin. And 11 great grandchildren. Sister Amy Gakenheimer and nephews Ronald and Gary Gakenheimer. He was preceded in death by one sister Geneva Shields and brothers Woodrow King and Charles King. Funeral Service will be held Monday May 8, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, (Beside South Carroll High School) with Rev. She was born July 26, 1924 in Alexandria, VA the daughter of the late Howard Thomas and the late Irene Thomas (nee Corbin). She worked in the catering business. She was the wife of the late Frederick T. Eisen. She was the mother of Connie Alsruhe and Husband Dave of Mt. Airy, Fred and Janet Eisen of Baltimore, Richard Brown of Baltimore and the late Janet Brown. Sister of Margaret Gallahan of Alexandria, VA. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be Tuesday May 9, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Lanning, Richard E.
Richard E. “Dick” Lanning, age 68, of Woodbine for 22 years, formerly of Millersville, MD, died Wednesday May 10, 2006 at Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson, MD. He was born June 16, 1937 in Spencer, New York, the son of the late Charles Lanning and Luella Lanning Thomas (nee Fish). He was the husband of Maureen B. Lanning (nee Brosh). He was a truck driver for Potts & Callahan Inc. for 43 years. He attended St. Michael’s R.C. Church in Poplar Springs. He was in the US Army 1959-1963. He was the father of Laura L. Stewart and Steve of Capon Bridge, West Virginia. Brother of Paul Lanning of Spencer, NY, Don Lanning of Texas, Alice Thayer of Spencer, NY and Dave Lanning of Spencer, NY. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Catholic Prayers will be held Tuesday May 16, 2006 at 10:30 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. He was born December 4, 1931 in Bristol, TN the son of the late Robert J. Carriger and the late Flora Carriger. He was a retired Owner of B.J’s Bowling Pro Shop. He served in the United States Army. Surviving are Daughter: Kellee Larkins of Columbia, Daughter: Candace Carriger of New York, Son: Michael Carriger of Pennsylvania, Brother: Robert Carriger of Texas and 4 Grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, PA. 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 on Wednesday May 31, 2006 from 6 to 8 PM.
