Ruth Edna Day Krantz, 87 of Mount Airy, MD, died Monday August 14, 2006 at Lorien Assisted Living in Mt. Airy, MD. She was the spouse of the late Henry C. Krantz, Jr. She was born November 20, 1918 in Frederick, MD the daughter of the late Murrar Otis Day and Late Daisy May Day. Mrs. Krantz was married April 17, 1940 in Woodlawn MD. She was formerly of Myersville, MD, lived a short time in Annapolis and Grew up in Mount Airy. She graduated from Towson State Teacher’s College. Mrs. Krantz was a member of The Mt. Airy Garden Club, Prudence Lodge Order of the Eastern Star #95, Mt. Airy, A Lioness of Mt. Airy Lions Club, A member of Ridgeville-Howard Chapel, and Mt. Airy Homemakers Club. Surviving are: Son and Daughter-in-law Kenneth E. Krantz, Sr. and Thelma of Mt. Airy, MD. Daughter and Son-in-law Beverly K and John Richardson of Porterville, CA. Sister: Laura Day of Mt. Airy, Grandchildren; Kenneth E. Krantz, Jr., Debra K. Steward and Julia C. Inestroza, Great-grandchildren; Joseph B. Krantz, Adam B. Krantz and Patrick A. Steward. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 19, 2006 11:00 Am at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with the Rev. Donald Howard and Rev. Welsh, Keith M.
Mr. Keith Welsh, 39 of Woodbine, MD, died Wednesday August 16, 2006 at John Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Baltimore, MD. He was born May 25, 1967 at Carroll County General Hospital. He was the son of Betty M. William Welsh and the late Stewart H. Welsh of Woodbine. He was a 1984 Graduate of South Carroll High School and was currently employed at Food Lion in Lisbon, MD. He enjoyed Helping others, Gardening and going to Flea Markets with friends. Surviving in addition to Mr. Welsh’s, mother are Dedicated Friend and Companion his dog : Katrina. Brothers: Kevin S. Welsh of Westminster, Kurt E. and Sister-in-law Kim Welsh of Woodbine, Nieces: Brandy and Nicole and many friends. Etta R. Crouthamel (nee Green), age 90, of Reisterstown, died Sunday August 20, 2006 at Lorien Nursing Home in Taneytown, MD. She was born April 22, 1916 in Frederick County, MD the daughter of the late Lawrence Green and the late Rachel Cane Green. She was the wife of the late James H. Crouthamel. She was a store clerk for Gammermans Hobby Shop. She was a member of Bible Fellowship Church and a former active member of Temple Baptist Church and Reisterstown Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and bowling. She was the mother of Joanne L. Ferguson & Howard F. Ferguson of Westminster and Rita G. Crouthamel of Reisterstown and the late Ronald J. Crouthamel. Sister of Eva Hargadon of Arbutus and Ivah Lucas of Brunswick. Also survived by 7 grandchildren: William, Coreen, Ronald, Terri Lynn, James, Delke, and Garrett, and 4 great-grandchildren: Colton, Madison, Eva and Emma. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday August 23, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Rev. Crumbacker, Emerson L.
Emerson Lee Crumbacker, age 57, of Thurmont, formerly of New Windsor, died Thursday August 24, 2006 at home. He was born January 28, 1949 in New Windsor, MD the son of the late Woodrow Francis and Carrie Mae Scheller Crumbacker. He was a loving father and grandfather. He worked for Bob’s Welding for 24 years as a welder/mechanic. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horses and spending time with family and friends. Survived by children Eric Crumbacker and wife Kelly of Great Cacapon, WV, Bradley Crumbacker and wife Crystal of Westminster, Douglas Crumbacker of Hagerstown and Krystal Gilbert and husband Yarnell of Thurmont. Brother of Woodrow Crumbacker of New Windsor, Ronnie Crumbacker and Wife Becky of Westminster, Charles Crumbacker and wife Sandy of Taneytown, and Anita Galley and husband Rick of New Windsor. Grandfather of Leann Keeney, Megan Crumbacker, Malinda Crumbacker, Eric Crumbacker, Jr., Bradley Crumbacker, Jr., Sierra Crumbacker, Brady Crumbacker and Izabella Gilbert. Shipley, Sr. She was born February 8, 1925 in Carroll County, MD the daughter of the late Virgie May Hoff and Carroll Ford. Mrs. Shipley was a Homemaker. She enjoyed Gardening, Reading and attending her Grandchildren’s Sporting Events. Surviving her are Son and Daughter-in-law George F. Jr. and Eveline K. Shipley of Woodbine, Son and Daughter-in-law Henry D. and Joyce M. Shipley of Eldersburg, Daughter and Son-in-law Darlene M. and Frank Sisolak, III of Eldersburg. Sisters: Edna Pickett of Patapsco, May Schmidt of Westminster, Blanche Hurlock of Westminster and Eunice Null of Westminster, Brothers Dave Ford of West Virginia, Ralph Ford of Gamber and Kenny Ford of Gamber. Grandchildren: Jason M. Shipley and wife Melissa of Catonsville, Matthew C. Shipley of Woodbine, Frank G. Sisolak, IV of Eldersburg and Brandon M. Sisolak of Eldersburg. Lawrence Edwin Williams, Jr., age 83, of New Market, died Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, MD. He was born June 5, 1923 in Washington, DC the son of the late Lawrence Edwin Williams, Sr. and the late Louise Williams (nee Henson). He was the husband of Cecelia Barbara Williams (nee Bell ). He was a Manager for C & P Telephone Company and then a Nationally Recognized Antique Dealer with his beloved wife Cecelia. He was a 1943 graduate of the US Naval Academy and served in the US Navy during WWII and Korean War. He had a love for Antiques. Father of Gay Zena Williams of Bethlehem, PA and Lawrence Edwin Williams III of Newport Beach, CA. Also survived by canine companion Royce. Private Services. Edith Berrenson (nee Santmyer), age 84, of Westminster, died Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at Carroll Hospital Center, Westminster, MD. She was born May 24, 1922 in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late Earl Washington Santmyer and the late Whiled Santmyer (nee Goldman). She was a housewife. She was the wife of Alan Berrenson. She was the mother of Joyce Connors of Parkton, MD, Brian Krieger of Reisterstown, Robin Harn of New Freedom, PA, Michael Berrenson of Westminster and Cindy Bentz of Westminster. Mrs. Betty Lou Kelly of Dagsbro, Delaware (formerly of Owings Mills, MD) passed away August 30th, 2006. Betty Lou spent the last 26 years on the Indian River in Dagsbro. Betty Lou was born June 6, 1925 to Katherine and Augustus Nash. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis J. Kelly and son James Michael Kelly. She is survived by her sons John Robert Kelly and wife Carol of State College, PA; Albert F. Kelly and wife Terese of Charlotte, NC; and Casey Kevin Kelly of Millsboro, DE. Grandchildren are Sean & Brian Kelly of State College, PA ; Ian Patrick Kelly of Holliston, MA; and Rebecca Catherine Kelly of Charlotte, NC. Great-Grandchildren are Daniel P. Kelly and Connor H. She was born March 5, 1911 in Baltimore City, MD the daughter of the late Grover C. Marr and the late Clara Marr (nee Rittase). She was the wife of the late George Wallace Ford. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Granite Presbyterian Church in Granite. She was the mother of the late Wallace Herbert “Herb” Ford and the mother in law of Dorothy Ford (nee Higgs)-living. She was the grandmother of Gail Buck (nee Ford) and Husband Ken and Wallace H. Ford, Jr. Great grandmother of Brendon and Brittany Buck. Sister of Carroll E. Marr and the late Vernon O. Marr, late Ruth Langrehr, and late John L. and Late Harry E. Marr. Gathering of friends and family will be held on Tuesday 3-5 & 7-9 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. She was the wife of the late Marvin Knight, Jr. She was the mother of Carolyn, Eric and Conrad Knight and his wife Shelley. Loving grandmother of Alyssia, Shannon, Samantha and Olivia. Surviving are sons & daughter-in-laws, William S. & Jean M. Wilhoit of Owings Mills and Jim J. & Judy E. Wilhoit of New Windsor. Also survived by brothers Max E. Smith of Florida and Lyle Ray Smith of Fredericksburg, VA, grand-daughters Lisa C. McMormick of San Diego, CA, Jennifer L.
