Roland S. Peregoy
OCEAN CITY - Roland S. Peregoy of Ocean City died Friday, Dec. 5, 1997 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury. He was 73.
Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Hagey and Carrie Peregoy.
He moved from Woodlawn to Ocean City. He was a World War II Army Air Force veteran and served on the Board of Trustess of Diakonia in West Ocean City. He was a member of the Atlantic United Methodist Church, where he was a lay reader, on the Board of Trustees and the Administrative Council.
Mr. Peregoy is survived by his wife, Barbara A. Peregoy; four children, Jerry Grant Peregoy of Easton, Mary Jane Smith of Essex, Joe Martin of Middle River and Kathy Nichols of Millsboro; eight grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and a sister, Helen Brown of Sykesville. Two sons, Roland G. Peregoy and James Todd Peregoy, are deceased.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 8 at Druid Ridge cemetery, Baltimore.
Orlando Beulah
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Orlando "Buck" Beulah of Philadelphia, Pa. died on Friday, Dec. 5, 1997 at his home. He was 79.
Born on Jan. 21, 1918 in Denton, he was the son of the late Hall and the late Helen Beulah.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 12 at the Chapel of Maryland Veterans cemetery
of the Eastern Shore, Hurlock.
Lillian M. Gosman
CHESTERTOWN - Lillian Mae Gosman of Chestertown died on Monday, Dec. 8, 1997 at the Kent and Queen Anne's Hospital in Chestertown. She was 74.
Born in Queen Anne's County, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Anna Marie Smith Lee.
She has been a life-long resident of the Kent and Queen Anne's county areas. Her husband, Raymond Weldon Gosman, died in 1984. She worked for the Board of Education in Kent County for more than 25 years, retiring in 1985.
Mrs. Gosman is survived by two daughters, Vanessa Hayman of Galena and Robin Morton of Chestertown; two sons, Raymond L. Gosman of Vista, Calif., and Weldon D. Gosman of Honolulu, Hawaii; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held on Thursday, Dec. 11 at 1 p.m. at the Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, in Chestertown.
Burial was at Chester cemetery, in Chestertown.

Russell D. Mahler
WILMINGTON, N.C. - Russell Dennis Mahler of Wilmington, N.C. died Friday, Dec. 5, 1997 in Columbia Cape Fear Hospital, Wilmington, N.C. He was 39.
Born June 2, 1958 in Prince George's County, he was the son of Mary D. Heyer of Cambridge and the late James Russell Mahler.
While residing near the metropolitan area, he worked as a building engineer for Bender Builders, Washington, D.C.
He had recently received a plumber's license and was working with a plumbing contracting company in North Carolina.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his stepfather, Earl F. Heyer of Cambridge; and a stepsister, Chrys Inskeep of Odenton.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 12 at the Pavilion at Greenlawn cemetery, Cambridge.
William J. Miller
MILFORD, Del. - William J. Miller of Milford, Del. died on Saturday, Dec. 6, 1997 at Kent General Hospital, in Dover. He was 80.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ruth Miller of Milford; one daughter, Kathleen Corbin of Virginia; two sons, Keith Miller of Runnemede, N.J.. and William Miller Jr. of Centreville; and six grandchildren.
Services were held on Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 3 p.m. at the Bennie Smith Funeral Home in Milford, Del.
Burial will be private.
Laura B. Toulson
MARYDEL - Laura B. Toulson of Marydel died Monday, Dec. 8, 1997 at her home. She was 72.
Born in Burrsville on March 23, 1925, she was the daughter of the late David L. and Ruth Ann Wyatt Kenton.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Luther Toulson; one daughter, Charlotte Taylor of Middletown, Del.; one brother, James Kenton of Burrsville; two sisters, Virginia Harris of Burrsville and Delema Cane of Frederica, Del.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A son, John Wayne States, died in 1968.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, at the Fleegle-Helfenbein Funeral Home in Greensboro. Friends may call the funeral home on Thursday, Dec. 11 from 7 until 9 p.m.
Burial will follow the service at Burrsville cemetery.
Charles C. Zimmerman
ANNAPOLIS - Charles Cecil Zimmerman of Annapolis died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 1997 at Anne Arundel Medical Center of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was 71.
He was born in Oklahoma City, Okla., on Aug. 17, 1926.
He worked as an upholsterer at the Britts Upholstery Co., in Easton for 25 years before retiring. He served in both the U.S. Navy and Merchant Marine. He was a member of the Broadneck Elks and American Legion Post 175.
He is survived by his wife, Janis L. Zimmerman; one son, Neil Ackerman of Waldorf; one daughter, Donna Wiles-Susa of Annapolis; two brothers, Lester Zimmerman of Tulsa, Okla., Walt Zimmerman of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Juanita Hess of Oklahoma City and Gladys Shockley of Oklahoma City; and five grandchildren.
Services were held on Monday, Dec. 8, at 11:30 a.m. at the Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home.
Burial followed at the Maryland Veterans cemetery
in Crownsville.

Paul Bostic
INGLESIDE - Paul Bostic of Ingleside died on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 1997 at Thompsons Care Home in Church Hill. He was 92.
Born on July 4, 1905, he was the son of the late Steve R. and Sally Lee Bostic.
He married
Elizabeth Friedelin in 1929, and they lived in Ingleside. Mrs. Bostic died in 1990.
Mr. Bostic was a self-employed carpenter. He was a barn builder and did many improvements to area churches.
He coached many teen-age baseball teams in the late 40s and early 50s.
Mr. Bostic is survived by a son, Richard H. Bostic of Ingleside; three daughters, Bonnie Elburn of Chestertown, Delores Allen of Ingleside and Connie Faulkner of Goldsboro; a sister, Margaret Emory of Chestertown; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 13 at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, Chestertown. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Sudlersville cemetery.
