She was the grandmother of Catherine Goldsborough and Pamela Douros. Also survived by 3 great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA 1212 W. Ralph W. “Woody” Green, age 88, of Woodlawn, died Monday March 19, 2007 at Peartree Nursing & Assisting Home in Pasadena. He was born June 30, 1918 in Hebbville, MD the son of the late Wilbur A. Green and Mary E. Green (nee Reiblich). He retired from Baltimore County Highway Roads Department as an operator. He was the husband of the late Lillian Marie Green (nee Rohrbaugh). He was the father of Jackie and David Lake of Lancaster, Bruce Green of Dundalk, Roxanne and Gary Russell of Eldersburg, and Sherry and Bobby Kruger of Pasadena. Brother of Doris Trott. Grandfather of Meghan, Jonathan, Matthew, Keri, Kati and Kevin. Funeral Service will be held Friday March 23, 2007 at 11:30 AM at Arlington Baptist Church 3030 N. Duvall, Howard F.
Howard F. “Uncle Howard” Duvall, age 77, of Woodbine, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at University Of MD Hospital, Baltimore, MD. He was born November 6, 1929 in Howard County, MD the son of the late William Duvall and the late Pearl Crabb Duvall. He was the husband of Betty E. Duvall (nee Condon). He was a tractor trailer driver for Eastern Express for 25 years. He served in the United States Army from July 6, 1951 to August 6, 1959 as a Corporal He loved horse racing and people. He loved playing cards and reading and writing. He was a member of the teamsters local union 557 in Baltimore. He was the godfather of Judy and Tony Gartrell of Woodbine and Sandy and Bill Starner of Mt. Airy. Brother of Mary Hatfield of Eldersburg and the late Calvin and Harry Duvall, Rosie Smith, Pauline Colson and Betty Haines. Special Uncle to Justin and Joshua Gartrell and Corey and Cody Starner. Funeral Service will be held Saturday March 24, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Pastor David Schafer of St. Benjamin’s Lutheran Church in Westminster officiating. Arnold Franklin Lydard, age 76, formerly of Frederick and Sykesville, died Wednesday March 21, 2007 at VA Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia. He was born August 1, 1930 in Laytonsville, MD the son of the late George H. Lydard and the late Nellie L. Lydard (nee Sullivan). He was the husband of Dorothy Hall Lydard of Taneytown for 20 years. He retied from the USAF 20 years of service. He was the father of Arnold F. Lydard, Jr. and Martha K. Ennis. Stepfather of Kimberly A. Middleton, David E. Hall, Jr. and Jeffrey S. Hall. Brother of Jack L. Lydard, Robert B. Lydard, Nellie L. Lydard and the late James Lydard. Also survived by 7 step grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held Monday March 26, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, MD (Beside South Carroll High School) with Rev. Wallace “Bud” Lusk and Rev. Judy Emerson of Ebenezer U.M. Church officiating. Interment will be Tuesday April 10, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Arlington National cemetery (meet at the main cemetery office by 9:30 AM). Pearl Marie Smith, 88 of Woodbine Formerly of Granite, MD, died Sunday, March 25, 2007 at her son’s home in Woodbine. She was the spouse of the late Richard H. Smith. She was born February 5, 1919 in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late Lawrence P. Smith and Emma Bertha Schmidt Smith. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker She was much loved by all of her extend family, had a great love for animals and enjoyed the outdoors. She was an Avid Baltimore Ravens Fan. Surviving her are Sons and Daughters-in-laws Richard and Nancy Smith of Marriottsville, Charles and Jacqueline Smith of Woodbine, Brother: Clayton Smith 5 Grandchildren and 4 Great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by sister: Selma Carling. and devoted friend Earl Sheppard. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday March 29, 2007 10 Am at Burrier-Queen Funeral and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with the Rev. Arthur Monroe of Morgan Chapel UMC officiating. She was born June 5, 1939 in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late Howard Kriete and the late Kathleen Kriete (nee Smedley). She was an Antique Dealer. She was the wife of Henry F. Cerquetti of Randallstown. She was the mother of Dana, Dominic and Christopher Cerquetti. Also survived by 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She was born March 13, 1931 in Hebbville, MD. She was the sister of Lucille V. & Charles L. Widerman and Betty J. and Herbert V. Sauter. Aunt of Linda Baskette, Brenda Widerman, Keith Widerman, Kathleen Dell and Lisa Sauter. Also survived by 5 great nieces and nephews. Howard Eugene Hamilton, Sr., 72 of Granite, MD, died Friday March 30, 2007 at home in Granite, MD He was the spouse of Catherine Norris Jones Hamilton of Granite. Mr. Hamilton was born December 31, 1934 in Granite, MD the son of the late Louis Eugene Hamilton and the late Ruby Virginia Poole Hamilton. Mr. Hamilton was the Owner and operator of a Nationwide Insurance Agency for 43 years. He was a member of Freedom Lodge #112 A.F. & A.M. Sykesville, MD. He was also an antique car enthusiast. Surviving in addition to his wife are Daughter and son-in-law Pamela Jean and Donald Adams of Eldersburg, Daughter and Son-in-law Nancy and Andrew Nathanson of Owings Mills, Son; Howard “Butch” Eugene Hamilton, Jr. of Granite, MD Brother: Donald Louis Hamilton of Granite, Grandchildren: Andrew Michael Adams, Shannon Lynn Poole, April Marie Adams and Ashley Nicole Hueg. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday April 3, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Granite Presbyterian Church, 10637 Old Court Rd. Woodstock, MD 21163. Interment will be in the church cemetery. His hobby was collecting fire arms and he was a member of the NRA. He was the husband of Arvetta B. Wean (nee Fishback). He was the father of Linda L. Smith of Pasadena, Larry L. Wean of Sykesville, Kenneth W. Wean of New Windsor, Randy Wean of Fallingwater, West Virginia, Kevin W. Wean, Ricky D. Wean, Penny L. Bauerline and Danny E. Wean all of Westminster. Brother of Shirley, Edith and Virginia and predeceased by 2 brothers Earl and Stanley Wean and 2 sisters Genevieve Myers and Naomi Coffman. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and predeceased by one grandchild Kenneth W. Brother of Brenda Colliflower of Frederick, Douglas Mayne of Charlestown, Wes Virginia and Martin A. Mayne of Mt. Airy. Also survived by 2 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
