Augustus T. Boyd
CHESTER - Augustus T. Boyd of Chester died Thursday, Dec. 4, 1997 at his home. He was 73.
Born in Baltimore City, he was the son of the late Eddie and Amelia Jackson Boyd.
He was a member of Union Wesley United Methodist Church, Chester, the United Methodist Men, Choir and Usher Board, and of the Odd Fellows Lodge in Grasonville, and Ravens Roost No. 34 in Annapolis.
A waterman for several years, Mr. Boyd had worked in construction in the Philadelphia and Baltimore areas.
Mr. Boyd is survived by his wife, Lois Boyd, of Chester; a daughter, Sonseeahray Kelly of Chester; a son, Tommy A. Boyd Jr. of Centreville; a sister, Rose Turner of Trenton, N.J.; two brothers, John Lecato and Paul Jackson of Baltimore; and 7 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13 at Union Wesley United Methodist Church, Chester, where friends may call Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

W. Covey Brown
DENTON - W. Covey Brown, of the Denton area, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 1997 at his home. He was 83.
Born in Dover, Del., he was the son of the late Serenius "Reese" Powell Brown and Sarah Elizabeth Covey Brown.
He moved to Hickman as a child and has always lived in the Denton area.
He had been a mechanic in Denton for Bullock and White Motors and Lewis Motors, retiring in 1979. He was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Denton. He was a World War II veteran of the Air Force having served in the South Pacific.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruth S. Brown of Denton; a son, Wesley Brown of Easton; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 12 at Moore Funeral Home, Denton, where friends may call one hour before the service.
Burial will be in Denton cemetery.
Melvina Dorsey
CORDOVA - Melvina Dorsey of Cordova died Monday, Dec. 8, 1997 at Memorial Hospital, Easton. She was 91.
Born in Queen Anne on Aug. 17, 1906, she was the daughter of the late William Johns Sr. and the late Lottie Young Johns. She attended Talbot County public schools.
She is survived by a daughter, Emma Johns of Cordova; a sister, Margaret Henry of Wilmington, Del.; a brother, William Johns Jr. of Royal Oak; four grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; and six great- great- grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13 at Allen A.M.E Church, Thomastown, where friends may call at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Sandtown cemetery, Hillsboro.

William A. Dungan
ST. MICHAELS - William Ashton Dungan of St. Michaels died Monday, Dec. 8, 1997 at Memorial Hospital, Easton. He was 80.
Born in Bustleton, Pa., he was the son of the late J. Evan and Ethel Lounes Ashton Dungan.
He had been employed by the State of Maryland in the Department of Employment Security for many years before retirement. He had lived in Fulton, Md., before moving to St. Michaels in 1993.
He had served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the U.S.S. Burleigh in the Pacific Theatre.
Mr. Dungan is survived by his wife, Lilla Patricia Dungan of St. Michaels; and a sister, Harriet Parker Dungan of Huntington Valley, Pa.
Graveside services will be held at Mackinac Island, Mich. with burial in Protestant cemetery
on Mackinac Island at the convenience of the family.

Wilbur A. Faulkner
CAMBRIDGE - Wilbur A. "Buddy" Faulkner of Cambridge died Monday, Dec. 8, 1997 at Dorchester General Hospital. He was 65.
Born in Cambridge on July 30, 1932, he was the son of the late Wilbur W. and Pearl Marie Paul Faulkner.
He attended schools in Cambridge. Some years ago he had worked as a waterman with his father. He later had worked for Continental Can Co. and also the Dorchester County Board of Education. Most recently he had been employed by Charles Powell as a maintenance worker.
Mr. Faulkner is survived by a sister, Betty Travers of Cambridge; and two brothers, Jesse W. Faulkner and John P. Faulkner, both of Cambridge. A sister, Jeannette Fairbanks, is deceased.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 11 at Cambridge cemetery.
Curtis D. Fisher
UPPER MARLBORO - Curtis Douglas Fisher, formerly of Grasonville, died on Friday, Dec. 5, 1997 at Howard University Hospital, Washington. D.C. He was 36.
Born on Nov. 26, 1961 in Easton, he was the son of Marion Fisher of Denton and Elder Agnes Claggett of Grasonville.
He attended Grasonville Elementary School and Queen Anne's High School.
He attended Robinson A.M.E. Church and was attending Gateway Baptist Church, where he started a men's rap group.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Takia Moore of Stevensville; a sister, Pastor Diana Farmer of Washington, D.C.; three brothers, Anthony Fisher of Odenton, Michael Fisher of Grasonville and Pastor Ronald Fisher of Smyrna, Del.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13 at Robinson's A.M.E. Church, Grasonville, where friends may call at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in Robinson's Church cemetery.

Lucy I. Kinnamon
CAMBRIDGE - Lucy I. Kinnamon of Cambridge died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 1997 at Chesapeake Woods Center, Cambridge. She was 92.
Born at Taylors Island on Sept. 22, 1905, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Margaret Hurley Slacum.
She attended public schools in Dorchester County. On Nov. 25, 1925, she married
Charles M. Kinnamon, who died Nov. 25, 1990. She worked as a salesperson at several local stores, most recently at LeComptes' Shoe Store. She was active in scouting and received the Miniature Eagle Scout Award.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, where she had taught Sunday School, was active in the United Methodist Women, the choir, the D.D. Club, and the Dr. Hines Bible Class. She was a life member and past president of the Auxiliary of the American Legion, formerly active in the P.T.A., the Auxiliaries of Dorchester General Hospital and the Eastern Shore Hospital Center, and a past Worthy Matron of the Rebecca Lodge.
Mrs. Kinnamon is survived by a son, G. Neill Kinnamon of Annapolis; and two grandchildren, Laura J. Kinnamon and Charles S. Kinnamon of Annapolis. Five brothers and three sisters are deceased.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 12 at Grace United Methodist Church.
