Died Sunday May 23, 2004 at Westminster Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

He was the spouse of the late Mary BeCraft Carr and later married to Eva Totten Carr.

He was born December 10, 1909 in Winfield, MD the son of the late Marshall G. Carr and late Gertrude Frizzell Carr.

He was retired from being a Truck Driver and most recently had worked at McDonald’s in Westminster. A Member of The Church of the Open Door Westminster.

Survived by Daughter:Patricia Ann Whitman of Sykesville, Daughter Wanda Lee Rodriguez of Reisterstown, and Numerous Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter the late Shirley Reaver.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday May 26, 2004 at 10 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. with the Rev. John Campbell of the Church of the Open Door officiating. Interment will be at Pine Grove cemetery, Mt. Airy, MD

The Family will receive friend at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.

Barry Raymond Scherer 51, of Mt. Airy, MD
1952 - 2004

Died Monday May 31, 2004at Carroll Hospital Center

He was the spouse of Denise Ann Vidi Scherer. He was born October 19, 1952 in Baltimore, MD the son of Robert Raymond Scherer of Glen Arm and the late Mary Barry Scherer.

Mr. Scherer was a 1970 Graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. After graduating from Poly Mr. Scherer went to work for the FBI where he received training as a Finger Print Technician. In 1975 he began working for the State of MD as a Finger Print Technician and also as a Police Communications Operator with the State Police where he meet his wife. In 1984 Mr. Scherer left the State Police and began his career with the State Highway Administration Office of Real Estate. Mr. Scherer loved Camping, Traveling and History.

Surviving him in addition to his wife and father are 2 daughters: Nicole M. and Katie M. Scherer both of Mt. Airy. 2 Sisters and 1 Brother., Father-in-law Nilo Vidi, Numerous other in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by a brother.

A Funeral Liturgy will be said on Friday June 4, 2004 10:00 AM at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, at the intersection of MD Route 26 and MD Route 75 Libertytown, MD 21762 with Fr. John Dietzenbach officiating.

Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD

The Family will receive friends at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 on Wednesday from 7-9 and Thursday for 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM with a Christian Wake Services Thursday at 7:30 PM

Augustus C. Barnes 82, of Winfield, MD
1922 - 2004

Augustus C. Barnes, age 82, of Winfield, died Wednesday June 2, 2004 at Lorien Nursing Home in Mt. Airy, MD.

He was born April 14, 1922 in Winfield, MD the son of the late John Stem Barnes and the late Grace Pickett Barnes.

He was the husband of Bernice Shipley Barnes of Winfield for 62 years, which they loved to spend the winters in Florida.

He was an Inspector for Retail Credit Company and an Appraiser for the State Department of Assessments. He was a Lifetime Charter member of the Westminster Elks #2277. He was a member of the Westminster Moose Lodge #1381. He was a former charter and past member of the Taylorsville-Winfield Lions Club. He attended Ebenezer and Taylorsville U.M. Church’s. He enjoyed farming and gardening; vegetables and tomatoes, which his tomatoes reached the White House.

Devoted father of John S. & Gloria F. Barnes of Winfield and Jeffrey L. and Sylvia A. Barnes of Finksburg.

Dear brother of Charles W. Barnes of Winfield and the late Margaret Seitz and the late Nicholas Barnes.

Loving grandfather of 5 grandchildren; Darren, Scott, Cindy, Matthew and Stephanie Barnes.

Also survived by 7 great grandchildren.

Dear Uncle of 4 nephews; Kenneth Seitz, Charles Barnes, Jr., Douglass Seitz and Edward Seitz.

Memorial Service will be held Sunday June 6, 2004 at 3:00 P.M. at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Rev. Chris Gobrecht of Taylorsville U.M. Church in Taylorsville officiating.

Private inurnment.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity of choice.

Richard C. Hewitt, Jr. 84, of Frederick, MD
1920 - 2004

Died Saturday, June 5, 2004 at North Hampton Manor Nursing Home, Frederick, MD

Mr. Hewitt was born May 13, 1920 in Sykesville, MD the son of the late Richard C. Hewitt, Sr. and Late Bessie Mae Naill Hewitt.

Mr. Hewitt Served in WWII in the South Pacific from 1941 to 1946 in the United States Army. He was a member of the South Carroll VFW Post 9952.

He is survived by sister and brother-in-law: Claudia M. Goss of Walkersville and Franklin G. Goss.

Wanda Lee Colson Anderson 59, of Winfield, MD
1959 - 2004

Wanda Lee Colson Anderson, 59, died Thursday June 10, 2004 at Carroll Hospital Center after an extended illness.

She was the spouse of the late Thomas E. Anderson. She was born November 24, 1944 in Woodbine, MD the daughter of the late Howard L and Annie Duvall Colson.

Mrs. Anderson worked as a nursing assistant at Golden Age Guest Home for over 25 years. Hobbies included Bingo, Camping and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by Daughters: Debbie Anderson, Patty Bailey, Missy Bailey and Lynn Anderson all of Westminster, Brothers and Sisters: Anna Mae Harrison of Woodbine, Margie Hett of Westminster, Dorothy Pearce of Florida and George Colson of Westminster. 5 Grandchildren: Gary Bailey, Jr., Amber Anderson, Amanda Greenholtz, Zachary Bailey and Thomas Bailey.

Preceded in death by Brothers: Howard and Raymond Colson, Sisters: Virginia Eyler and Nancy Delph and Grandson Joe Bailey.

Funeral Services will be held Monday June 14, 2004 10 Am at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & CREMATORY, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with the Rev. Roger Strait officiating.

Interment will be in Zion UM Church cemetery, Westminster, MD

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM

Linda A. Bennett Lewis 90, of Mt. Airy, MD
1913 - 2004

Linda A. Bennett Lewis, 90, died Saturday, June 19, 2004 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.

She was spouse of the late Eugene Francis Lewis whom passed away in 1983.

Mrs. Lewis was born August 30, 1913 in Howard County, MD the daughter of the late Charles Edward and late Mary Elizabeth Magers Bennett. Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker and took great pride in her vegetable garden, Canning and Making Clothing. She was a member of the Ladies Aid Society and A Life Member of Mt. View U.M. Church in Purdum, MD

Surviving are Daughter and Son-in-law Doris M. and George Woodfield of Mt. Airy, Brother Leroy Bennett, 4 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren and numerous step-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by 3 Sisters: Edna Reedy, Florrie Gilbert and Addie Porter, 1 Brother: Russell Bennett and one Daughter Norma Lee Watkins.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 11:00 AM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A. with the Rev. Wallace Lusk and the Rev. Dennis Yocum officiating.

Interment will be in Poplar Springs U.M. cemetery, Poplar Springs, MD

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday June 22, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.

Jules Robert Panneton 87, of Mt. Airy, MD
1916 - 2004

Jules R. Panneton, of Mt. Airy, died Wednesday June 23, 2004 at Our Family Assisted Living, Mt. Airy, MD.

He was the spouse of Esther Annette Panneton (nee Grandmont) of Mt. Airy to whom he was married for 64 years. He was born December 14, 1916 in Manchester, NH the son of the late Ovila Panneton and the late Clara Panneton (nee Ross).

Mr. Panneton was a retired analyst from NSA Department of Defense. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a Member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Airy, MD and St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Ocean City, MD where he was an usher and lay leader.

Surviving in addition to his wife are Sons Robert J. Panneton of Houston, Texas, Paul E. Panneton of Sykesville and Daughter Annette Fleishell of Sykesville. Also survived by sisters Beatrice Gelinas, Eva Berube, and Rita Werderman, 7 Grandchildren and 5 Great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday June 26, 2004 10 Am at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, “OLD CHURCH”1200 St. Michael’s Road Mt. Airy, MD 21771.

Interment will be in Parklawn cemetery, Rockville, MD

The Family will receive friends at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A. on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM where a Prayer service will be held on at 7:30 PM.

Harry Bernard Hull, Jr., 75, died Wednesday June 24, 2004 at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center.

He was born July 31, 1928 in Baltimore, MD the son of the late Harry Bernard Hull, Sr. and the late Alice Clary Hull.

Surviving are Sons: Carroll. B Hull of Eldersburg, Richard A. Hull of Woodlawn and Kenneth S. Hull of Cincinnati, OH 4 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday July 1, 2004 7:30 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784

Rosario Russell Caccamisi 65, of Owings Mills, MD
1938 - 2004

Rosario Russell Caccamisi, age 65, of Owings Mills, formerly of Randallstown, died Friday June 25, 2004 at University of MD Medical Center, Baltimore, MD.

He was born July 6, 1938 in Cefalue Sicily, Italy the son of-living- Giuseppi Caccamisi and the late Maria Caccamisi (nee Fertitta).

He was a Hairstylist and Owner of two shops called Hair By Rosario at the Pikesville-Hilton and the Chartley Shopping Center in Reisterstown, formerly of Rosario Total Hair Care in Randallstown for 40 years. He was called the “Mayor” of Randallstown and the “Sheriff” of the Liberty Plaza Shopping Center in Randallstown. He was a Retired Staff Sergeant for the United States Army National Guard, 20 years of service. He was very active in politics. He was an usher every Sunday at St. Jude’s Shrine Catholic Church in Baltimore. He also had numerous business rental properties.

He was the husband of Antoinette Caccamisi (nee Agro).

He was the father of Russ Caccamisi, Jr. of Eldersburg, Michael Caccamisi of Owings Mills and Eva Caccamisi of Westminster.

Dear brother of Philip Caccamisi and wife Kathie of Randallstown.

Loving Uncle of Deena and Joseph Caccamisi.

Also survived by two grandsons; Andrew and Dylan and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Liturgy (MASS) will be held Wednesday June 30, 2004 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Community, 915 Liberty Road, Eldersburg, MD.

Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, MD (Beside South Carroll High School) on Monday and Tuesday from 2-5 & 7-9 PM.

Entombment will be in Lorraine Park Mausoleum, Woodlawn, MD.

Lucille Bolton Montgillion, age 79, of Sykesville, died Saturday June 26, 2004 at her home.

She was born January 17, 1925 in Olney, MD, the daughter of the late Theodore Bolton and Miriam Bolton (nee Howes).

She was a secretary for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture for 31 years.

She was the mother of Robert B. Montgillion.

She was the sister of the late William and James Bolton and Dorothy Rabbit.

She will be remembered by the Hett family whom she resided with the past 25 years.

Graveside Service and Interment will be held Thursday July 1, 2004 at 10:30 AM at Laytonsville Methodist cemetery, Laytonsville, MD, with the Rev. O.F. “Bud” Kibbe, Methodist clergy officiating.

Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, MD (Beside South Carroll High School) on Wed. from 7-9 PM.
