Clyde Russell Mitter, age 50 of Westminster, died Wednesday March 16, 2005 at Stella Maris Hospice, Timonium, MD.

He was born April 15, 1954 in Grafton, West Virginia, the son of Clyde D. Mitter of Westminster and the late Harriet L. Mitter (nee Wright).

He was a restaurant worker.

Dear brother of Rhonda & Steven A. Zile of New Windsor and James D. & Robin Mitter of Taneytown.

Also survived by 3 nephews and 2 neices.

Funeral Service will be held on Sunday March 20, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Rev. O.F. “Bud” Kibbe officiating.

Interment will be in Taylorsville U.M. Church cemetery, Taylorsville, MD

Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. on Saturday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Stella Maris Hospice, 2300 Dulaney Valley Road, Timonium, MD 21093.

Rudolph D. “Rudy” Wilson, age 80, of Joppa, died Thursday March 17, 2005 at his home.

He was born January 9, 1925 in Sykesville, MD the son of the late Oscar S. Wilson and the late Ella M. Wilson (nee Grimes).

He was a steel worker at Bethlehem Steel Company.

Dear brother of Carl Wilson and Elza Zepp, both of Sykesville.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday March 21, 2005 at 11:00 AM. at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with Chaplain John Oliver of Seasons Hospice officiating.

Interment will be in Harmony Grove cemetery, Sykesville, MD

E. Elizabeth Harrison 88, of Mt. Airy, MD
1916 - 2005

E. Elizabeth “Libby” Harrison (nee Buckman), age 88, of Mt. Airy, died Saturday March 19, 2005 at Kline Hospice House in Mt. Airy, Md.

She was born October 16, 1916 in Mt. Airy, MD, the daughter of the late Charles Buckman and the late Nora Buckman (nee Gilbert).

She was the wife of the late Morley W. Harrison.

She was a Life Long member and Choir director and played the piano for Prospect U.M. Church in Mt. Airy and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Mt. Airy Vol. Fire Company and the American Legion Gold Post #191 in Mt. Airy. She was an owner of a novelty store on Main Street in Mt. Airy during the 40’s and 50’s.

She was the mother of Warren E. Harrison and wife Ernestine of Brunswick, Georgia.

Dear sister of Mary Rimby of Mt. Airy, Virginia Linton of Mt. Airy and Emmette Buckman of Baltimore, and the late Audrey Guassardo, late Ralph Buckman, late Leo Buckman and the late Robert Buckman.

Loving grandmother of Kathi Smith of Blythe Island, Georgia, Toni Smoot of Frederick and Erin Harrison of Brunswick, Georgia.

Also survived by 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday March 23, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Prospect U.M. Church, 5923 Woodville Road, Mt. Airy, MD with the Rev. Susan Boehl of Prospect U.M. Church in Mt. Airy officiating.

Interment will be in Prospect U.M. Church cemetery, Mt. Airy, MD.

Edna M. Worgan (nee Haines), age 77, of Lochearn, MD died Sat. March 19, 2005 at her home.

She was born April 12, 1927 in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late Oscar Haines and the late Ethel Haines (nee Schramm).

She was a retired Data entry employee for B& O and C & O Railroad.

She was the wife of the late Lt. (MSP) John M. Worgan.

Dear sister of the late Betty L. Zinn. Also survived by several nephews and nieces.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday March 23, 2005 at 10:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with Pastor Charles Frederick, Lutheran pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD

William E. Smith, age 71, of Sykesville, died Monday March 21, 2005 at his home.

He was born September 18, 1933 in Pittsburgh, PA the son of the late William T. Smith and the late Mary Ann Smith (nee Springfield ).

He was the loving husband of Johanna Bernadette Smith (nee Conko).

He was retired from the United States Air Force where he worked in communications.

Devoted father of son & daughter-in-law William E. & Heather Smith, Jr. of Millersville, MD, daughter & son-in-law Carol L. & Lee T. McKechnie of Woodbine, and daughter Patty A. Smith of Eldersburg. Loving grandfather of Elise and Mason McKechnie.

Also survived by brother Ralph Lee Smith of Florida.

He was a member of the Americna Legion, Train Collectors Association & Toy Train Operators Society.

Funeral Liturgy (Mass) will be held on Tuesday March 22, 2005 at 10:00 AM. at St. Joseph Catholic Community, 915 Liberty Road, Eldersburg, MD 21784 with Fr. Patrick Tonry officiating.

Interment will be in Crownsville Veterans cemetery, Crownsville, MD

There will be no public visitation.

She was born September 14, 1922 in Woodbine, MD the daughter of the late Emory Franklin and the late Annie Franklin (nee Norwood ).

She was a housewife.

She was the wife of the late Sterling LeRoy Harrison.

She was the mother of Shirley Y. Dubbert of Woodbine.

She was the sister of Bertha Jenkins, Eleanor Huber, Mae Huber, Vera McCusker all of Westminster and the late William and Walter Franklin.

Grandmother of Sterling William Dubbert and David Dubbert both of Woodbine.

Great grandmother of Sterling William Dubbert, Jr. of CA.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday March 29, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Rev. Tony McCusker officiating.

Interment will be in Morgan Chapel cemetery, Woodbine, MD.

1974 - 2005

Michael "Chad" Cianci, 30 of Westminster, MD died Friday March 25 2005 at the University of MD Medical Center in Baltimore MD. He is now at peace after a 6 year battle with Leukemia. Chad was born May 3, 1974 in Westminster, MD. He was the son of Frank Joseph Cianci, Sr. and Dorothy Lee Harvey Cianci both of Westminster.

Mr. Cianci was employed with Greens Ace Hardware in Winfield, MD

He enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, 4 Wheelers and Motorcycles.

Also survived by Sister: Debi Cianci, Brothers: Tony and Joe Cianci.

Children: Blayne Cianci and Brandi Penn all of Westminster, MD

Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday March 30, 2005 11:00 AM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with Rev. Rob Huffman of Westminster Church of God officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9.

Daymon S. Bryant, Sr. 70, of New Windsor, MD
1934 - 2005

Daymon S. Bryant, Sr., 70 of New Windsor, MD died Sunday March 27, 2005 at Carroll Hospital Center. He was the spouse of the late Joyce Lee Brown Bryant. Mr. Bryant was born June 21, 1934 in Tennessee he was the son of the late Shirley and late Bertha Bryant.

He was a retired construction worker.

Surviving him are his 7 children: Yvette M. Dallaire of Michigan, Daymon S. Bryant, Jr. of Ohio, Evelyn G. Bryant of Pennsylvania, David L. Bryant of Middleburg, MD Wanda L. Minnick of Manchester, MD Steven A. Bryant of New Windsor, MD and Karl J. Bryant of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and other relatives. Preceded in death by daughter: Joyce Vanessa Bryant Hughes.

Services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at 2:00 PM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A.1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with the Rev. Henry Laube officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove cemetery, Cooksville, MD

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM.

Marguerite F. Fleming 88, of Mt. Airy, MD
1916 - 2005

Mrs. Marguerite Frances Fleming (nee King), age 88, died Friday April 1, 2005 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Mount Airy, MD. She was a former long-time resident of Poplar Springs in Howard County. She was the wife of the late Harry Marshall Fleming who died September 1, 1983.

She was born June 14, 1916 and raised in Watersville, Maryland, Carroll County, the daughter of the late Harry Americus King and the late Mamie Hatfield King.

She was a graduate of Mount Airy High School and because her father worked for the B&O, she was able to ride the train from Watersville to Mount Airy Station and home again.

Mrs. Fleming was a homemaker and a life-long member of Watersville United Methodist Church until it was closed, then she attended Mount Olive United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed attending the monthly meetings of the Mount Airy 55 Plus Club, taking bus trips, and participating in special events at the Mount Airy Senior Center.

Surviving her is a son. Harry Marshall Fleming, Jr. and wife, Jane, of Poplar Springs; two grandsons, Jonathan Russell Fleming and wife Stephanie, and Franklin Marshall Fleming of Poplar Springs; two great-grandchildren, Steven Marshall Fleming of Columbia and Jaimie Michelle Fleming of Poplar Springs. She is also survived by a sister, Dorothy King Driver of Laurel; a nephew, Wayne Driver of Glenwood and wife Carol, and their children, Laurie and Greg Driver; and great niece, Kelly Bury. She was pre-deceased by her niece, Jean Driver Bury and brother-in-law, George W. Driver.

Interment will be in Poplar Springs cemetery on Watersville Road, where graveside services will be held Tuesday April 5, 2005 at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Charles Leger of Poplar Springs U.M. Church officiating.

No Visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Resident’s Activity Fund care of Donna Andrew at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Inc., 4101 Old National Pike, Mount Airy, MD 21771.
