Walter A. Schemm, Sr. “ALEX”, age 56, of Randallstown, Died Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home in St. Mary's County, Maryland.

He was born February 21, 1949 in Baltimore, MD The son of the late Ralph Nelson Schemm Sr., the late Anna Virginia Proctor Schemm.

Alex graduated from Woodlawn Senior High School. He was employed with the US Postal Service as a letter carrier for the Randallstown Branch for 23 years until disability in 1990. He was a Past Commander for the American Legion Post #122 in Owings Mills. He received an honorable discharge after serving in the US Army for four years and during that time; he served one year in Vietnam.

He was the husband of Mary Louise Schemm (nee Brady) of Randallstown.

Surviving in addition to his wife is son and daughter-in-law Walter A., Jr. and Julie Schemm of Taneytown, MD and son and daughter-in-law Mark Joseph and Susan Schemm of Catonsville, MD.

Grandfather of Justin and Austin and twin boys Jordan and Julian.

Dear brother of Ralph Schemm, Jr. of Louisiana and Sister Leslie Hedrich of Maryland.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 15, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Rev. Gary Koontz officiating.

Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD

Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA in Winfield on Wed. 7-9 and Thursday 3-5 & 7-9 PM. American Legion Post #122 Owings Mills Memorial Service will be Thursday at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home.

Melvin Wesley Collins, Sr. 84, of Hebbville, MD
1921 - 2005

Melvin Wesley Collins, Sr., 84 of Carroll Lutheran Village Formerly of Hebbville, MD, died Saturday July 16, 2005 at Carroll Hospital Center.

He was the spouse of Gladys Mae Smoot Collins.

Mr. Collins was born June 14, 1921 in Baltimore, MD

The son of the late William W. Collins and the late Grace Elizabeth Lake Collins.

Mr. Collins was retired from the State of MD where he worked as a purchasing agent. He served in the United States Army from 1943-1945.

Surviving in addition to his wife are Children: Melvin W. Collins, Jr of Berkley Springs WV, Linda Carol Smith of Finksburg and Sister Hazel Wagner of Pleasant Valley, MD.

2 Granddaughters: Suzette Dorsey and Laura Collins and 3 Great-Grandchildren.

Preceded in death by son: The late Keith Lee Collins

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday July 20, 2005 11:00 AM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A, 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with the Rev. Barry Hidey officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn cemetery.

The Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9PM

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Carroll Hospital Center, 200 Memorial Ave. Westminster, MD 21157

Jered Paul Harrison 26, of Woodbine, MD
1979 - 2005

Jered Paul Harrison, 26 of Woodbine, MD, died suddenly Thursday July 21, 2005 in Howard County MD.

He was born March 30, 1979 in Westminster, MD the son of Jeffrey L. and Sue Ann Constantine Harrison of Woodbine. Jered worked on the family farm. He enjoyed Hunting, Coon Jumping, Showing Mules, Playing Cards, Fishing, Boating and the Water.

Surviving him in addition to his parents are Grandparents: Paul F. and Dorothy C. Harrison, Sr. of Woodbine Sisters and brother-in-laws: Rachel and Eric Troppman of Woodbine and Elisha and Mark Iager of Fulton, MD : Also survived by nieces and nephews: Madison, Miranda, and Harrison Iager, Riley and Cody Troppman.

Funeral Services will be held Monday July 25, 2005 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784. Interment will be in Morgan Chapel cemetery, Woodbine, MD

The Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM

Kenneth Robert Flowers 68, of Randallstown, MD
1938 - 2005

Kenneth Robert Flowers, 68 of Randallstown, MD, died Saturday July 23, 2005 at his home in Randallstown.

He was the spouse of the late Anita Rosemarie May Flowers. He was born November 14, 1938 in Hanover, PA the son of the late Emory Kenneth Flowers and Rita K. Trostle Flowers.

Mr. Flowers served in the Navy as an inactive Reservist.

He was a retired florist for Don Flowers in Randallstown.

Surviving are Son: Kenneth Robert Flowers, Jr. of Indiana, Son and Daughter-in-law Kevin and Aileen Flowers of Indiana. Grandchildren: Lauren Nicole, Madison Taylor, Joshua Colin and Robbie Flowers. Brothers: Tom, Gary, and Richard Flowers, Sisters: Beverly Mallonee, Sue Pearre, Diane White and Vickie Davidson.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday July 26, 2005 11:00 AM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with the family receive friends at funeral home for 10AM until time of Service.

Interment will be in Mount Olive cemetery, Randallstown, MD

Phyllis Idella Heft Wilcoxen 74, of Westminster, MD
1931 - 2005

Phyllis Idella Heft Wilcoxen, 74 of Westminster, MD, died Saturday, July 23, 2005 at Brinton Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was the spouse of the late Floyd Brown and her second husband the late William Wilcoxen.

She was born July 21, 1931 in Bridgeton, NJ the daughter of the late Thomas Heft and the late Mildred Watkins Heft.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing.

Surviving are Daughters: Sharon Higgs of Sykesville, Deborah Isaacs of PA and Son: Floyd Brown of Baltimore. Sister: Margorie Trout of MD, 5 Grandchildren, 3 Step-grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Memorial Services will take place Wednesday July 27, 2005 12 Noon at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with the Rev. O.F.”Bud” Kibbe officiating

Annie Florene Shipley 95, of Thurmont, MD
1910 - 2005

Annie Florene Shipley (nee Schellar), age 95, of Thurmont, died Wednesday July 27, 2005 at her son’s Raymond and Kenneth Shipley and grandson William J. Shipley’s home.

She was born April 12, 1910 in Carroll County, Maryland the daughter of the late Jessie Edward Schellar and the late Annie Bart Schellar.

She was a homemaker.

Mother of Millard S. Shipley of Woodbine, Robert E. Shipley of Keymar, Raymond D. and Kenneth L. Shipley both of Thurmont and the late Edna F. Shipley.

Sister of the late Carrie Crumbacker, Reinee Criswell, Ruth Dayhoff, Evelyn Reaver, and Charles Schellar; predeceased by all.

Also survived by grandson William J. Shipley whom lived with her, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral Service Saturday July 30, 2005 at 10:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School ) with the Rev. Larry M. Plymire of St. James U.M. Church in Dennings officiating.

Interment St. James U.M. Church cemetery, Dennings, MD.

Geneva B. Will (nee Hipkins), age 81 of Woodbine, died Sunday, July 31, 2005 at her home.

She was born in Halifax, Virginia On July 19, 1924, the daughter of the late Lee Hipkins and the late Florence Hipkins.

She was a housewife. She loved her family and was a very kind person.

She was the husband of the late Erman W. Will.

She is survived by several sons, daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held on Wed. August 3, 2005, at 12:00 Noon at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with Pastor Rick Holbrook from the Church of the Open Door in Westminster officiating.

Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD

Martha Marie Suter, (nee Cugle), age 64, of Pikesville, died Sunday, July 31, 2005, at her home.

She was born September 11, 1940 in Howard County, Maryland the daughter of the late Phillip Arthur Cugle and the late Mamie Ardelia Cugle (nee Derfilinger).

She was a housewife. She was a secretary for Suter Performance Center/Shell Gas Station in Taylorsville, MD.

She was the wife of Francis Pat Suter, Sr. of Pikesville, for 45 years.

Mother of Pat Suter, Jr. of Annapolis, Mr. & Mrs. Phillip Suter, Mr. & Mrs. Penni Tyler, Paul Suter all of Carroll County and Mr. & Mrs. Perry Suter of Baltimore County.

Also survived by 2 sisters, 3 brothers, 11 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.

Funeral Liturgy (MASS) will be Thursday August 4, 2005 at 10:00 AM at St. Charles R.C. Church, 101 Church Lane, Pikesville with the Fr. Pat Chase officiating.

Interment St. Charles Church cemetery, Pikesville.

Bernice Sweeney Tabler 73, of Mt. Airy, MD
1932 - 2005

Bernice Sweeney Tabler, age 73, of Mt. Airy, Died Thursday, August 11, 2005, at her home.

She was born April 11, 1932, in Dungannon, Virginia, the daughter of the late William Jarvey Sweeney and the late Maggie Melissa Corder Sweeney.

Bernice was the devoted wife of Harvey Woodrow Wilson Tabler, married November 23, 1950.

She was Born Again at age 12 by receiving Christ as her personal Savior and a member of Mt. Airy Bible Church. Also a member of the Farm Bureau, Life Member of the Carroll County General Hospital Auxiliary, Mt. Olive U.M. Church Quilters and Mt. Airy 55 Plus Club.

Some of her favorite things were; being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Picnics on the farm, playing Rook, sewing, quilting, bowling, and taking pictures. Planting, growing and caring for flowers and raising a garden to have fresh vegetables even though it was hard work. She also enjoyed traveling.

Devoted mother of son Roger William Tabler, Sr. and friend Sandy Roark of Mt. Airy; daughter Doris Ann and Jerome Bujanowski of Mt. Airy; daughter Melissa Elizabeth and Robert Lantz of Thurmont, and son Glenn Brian and Terri Tabler of Mt. Airy.

Dear sister of Tashia Eunisa Kidwiler of Boonsboro, MD, formerly of Damascus, MD; Marjorie Kathleen Wren of Rienzi, MS; Denny Jackson and Faye Sweeney of Hackleburg, AL; Timmons Floyd Sweeney of Dungannon, VA; and the late Verda Ellen Hoy, late Terry McGrand Sweeney, late Opal Lee LeBlanc and the late Maxie Annia Tuttle.

Also survived by sister-in-law Helen Sweeney of Dungannon, VA and brother-in-law Donald Tuttle of American Canyon, CA.

Loving Grandmother of Lisa Dawn Mitchell of Mt. Airy, Roger William Jr. and Rebecca Jean Tabler of Manchester, Sara Elizabeth and Oliver Valenzuela of Mt. Airy, Philip Andrew Tabler of Westminster and Katy Lyn Tabler of Westminster, Brandon Allen, Brittany Lynn, Brooke Marie, Brandy Nicole and Bridget Michelle Tabler all of Mt. Airy.

Great grandmother of Rachel Ann and Roger William Tabler III of Manchester and Owen Reed Valenzuela of Mt. Airy.

Also survived by Special loved ones Vivian Howes and Lorraine Tabler both of Damascus, Jen Shipley of Westminster and Daran Ossinger of Elkridge, MD.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 13, 2005, at 11:00 AM at Mt. Airy Bible Church, 16700 Old Frederick Road, Mt. Airy, MD. With pastors H. Wallace Webster, Marvin R. Patrick, and Keith M. Surland officiating.

Interment will be in Mt. Olive U.M. Church cemetery, Mt. Airy.
