Harry D. Knotts
TEMPLEVILLE - Harry Dailey Knotts died Friday, Jan. 30, 1998, at Shore Nursing and Rehab Center, Denton. He was 85.
Born on July 30, 1912, in Templeville he was the son of the late William Herbert and Effie Davis Knotts.
He owned Knotts' Store in Templeville. He also served in the Army in World War II as a sergeant.
Mr. Knotts was a member of Templeville Grange no. 66 where he was past treasurer, and a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church of Marydel. He also was mayor of Templeville for 30 years.
Mr. Knotts is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ila C. Knotts; one son, William Knotts of Templeville; one sister, Nell Knotts of Templeville; two grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 2, at Fleegle-Helfenbein Funeral Home, Greensboro. Burial was at Templeville cemetery.

Louise G. Parker
HURLOCK - Louise G. Parker of Hurlock died Thursday, Jan. 29, 1998, at University of Maryland Hospital, Baltimore. She was 73.
Born May 31, 1924, at Fort Scott, Kan., she was the daughter of the late Bert and Sylvia Fay Morrow Pippin.
She moved to Maryland at the age of 12. She picked tomatoes and green beans on the Clay Webb farm in Vienna for about four years before moving to Cambridge. She worked for Pizza Hut in Cambridge and Easton and the dietary department at Memorial Hospital at Easton. She later operated a grocery store and restaurant in Trappe.
Her first husband, Charles W. Wheeler Jr., is deceased. On July 12, 1962, she married
Cecil M. Parker.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Parker is survived by one daughter, Elaine Rose Smith, and one son, Charles W. Wheeler III, both of Cambridge; one stepdaughter, Virginia Lee Thompson of Delmar, Del.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 1, at Thomas Funeral Home, Cambridge.
Burial was at Dorchester Memorial Park, Cambridge.
Orville L. Scott
FEDERALSBURG - Orville L. Scott of Federalsburg died Friday, Jan. 30, 1998, at Shore Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Federalsburg. He was 87.
Born Feb. 25, 1910, at Federalsburg, he was the son of the late William Fred and Lena Wilson Scott.
A 1930 graduate of Federalsburg High School, Mr. Scott earned a degree in accounting at Palmer College, Philadelphia, Pa. He was a self-employed roofing and siding contractor.
He attended Christ United Methodist Church in Federalsburg.
Mr. Scott is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lillian Gore Scott; a son, John W. Scott of Salisbury; one daughter, Nancy E. Quillen of Wilmington, Del.; a brother, Brice Scott of Federalsburg; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 3, at Framptom-Hawkins-Eskow Funeral Home, Federalsburg. Burial was at Hill Crest cemetery, Federalsburg.
Anne C. Stubbs
CHESTERTOWN - Anne C. Stubbs of Church Hill died Friday, Jan. 30, 1998, at Memorial Hospital, Easton. She was 73.
Born Jan. 5, 1925, at Boothwyn, Pa., she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Bena Churay.
After moving to Massey, Md., she graduated from Galena High School, and attended Pierce Business School in Philadelphia, Pa. In August 1952, she married
Leon Stubbs. They resided at Church Hill. Mrs. Stubbs was office manager for the U.S.D.A. in Centreville for 33 years, retiring in 1980.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Chestertown.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Stubbs is survived by a brother, Frank Churay of Talleyville, Del.; and three sisters, Mary Salter of Clayton, Del., Wilma Hudson of Baltimore, and Dorothy Bostic of Church Hill. A brother, Alfred Churay is deceased.
Services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 2, at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, Chestertown. Burial was at Church Hill cemetery.

Richard S. Weekes
EASTON - Richard Stanley Weekes of Easton died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998. He was 86.
Born Dec. 22, 1911, in New York, N.Y., he was the son of the late Lester A. and Laura Frank Weekes.
After attending public schools, he began a more than 40-year career with Chase Manhattan Bank, retiring in 1973. He then moved from Connecticut to Vermont. In 1934 he married
the former Margaretha Schneider. After her death in 1992, he moved to Silver Spring, Md. and then to Easton.
He was a member of Easton Aeronautical Association and a former member of the Lions Club.
Mr. Weekes is survived by his daughter, Lynn W. Fallon of Easton; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were private.

Blanche M. Wheatley
GALESTOWN - Blanche Madeline Wheatley of Galestown died Thursday, Jan. 29, 1998, at Genesis Elder Care, Seaford, Del. She was 75.
Born July 20, 1922, in Galestown she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Blanche Marine Jones. Her husband, Melvin Wheatley is deceased.
She was a graduate of Hurlock High School and was a secretary for Federalsburg Sportwear for 25 years. She was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
Mrs. Wheatley is survived by two sons, Benjamin H. Wheatley of Laurel, Del. and Wayne J. Wheatley of Millsboro, Del.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1 at Framptom-Hawkins-Eskow Funeral Home, Federalsburg. Burial was at Cokesbury cemetery, Federalsburg.

Arville S. Beulah
FEDERALSBURG - Arville S. Beulah of Federalsburg, died Friday, Jan. 30, 1998 at Memorial Hospital in Easton. He was 78.
Born Oct. 7, 1919 in Federalsburg, he was the son of the late Mariam Stanley Beulah and the late Wesley Hammond. A trucking mechanic who had worked for Elliot-Wilson Trucking in Easton for several years, he later worked for and retired from Tri-Gas & Oil Co. in Federalsburg. After retiring, he worked part-time for Koski Trucking Co. of Williamsburg.
He is survived by a daughter, Sandra Marie Beulah Friend of Federalsburg and three grandchildren, William Addams, Lonnie Friend Jr. and DeMarius Friend. Dawson Beulah, his stepfather who adopted him, and a daughter, Mary Teresa Beulah, are deceased.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m Saturday, Feb. 7 at Zion United Methodist Church in Federalsburg. Burial will follow in Federal Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday and also from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Arrangements by Framptom-Hawkins-Eskow Funeral Home, Federalsburg.
Augusta D. Hennighausen
CENTREVILLE - Augusta DuVal Hennighausen of Centreville died Jan. 31, 1998 at the Corsica Hills Nursing Home. She was 102.
Born Jan. 23, 1896, she was the daughter of the late Edmund B. and Agnese Jay Duval. She married
Frederick H. Hennighausen, a Baltimore attorney, in 1920. After her husband passed away in 1949 she immersed herself in civic duties, volunteering for "Meals on Wheels" and running the canteen at the University of Maryland Medical School. She also volunteered to drive a blind man from his medical rehabilitation appointments. Mrs. Hennighausen lived in Roland Park for most of her life and most recently resided at the Ambassador Apartments in Guilford.
She is survived by two daughters; Susan Jay Hennighausen of Toronto, Canada and Augusta H. Hunt of Grasonville; a son, Fred H. Hennighausen of Roswell, N.M.; six grandchildren and 16 grandchildren. A son, Charles E. Hennighausen, is deceased.
Funeral services will be private. Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
