Diane E. Mills
EASTON - Diane Elizabeth Mills of Easton died Saturday, Jan. 31, 1998 at her home. She was 56.
Born Nov. 8, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Mills Lewis. After attending public school in Talbot County, she started working at Easton Memorial Hospital, where she was employed for more than 30 years. She served in various capacities at the hospital, ultimately working as an X-ray technician.
She was a lifetime member of Union Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Tony Mills Sr.; an adopted son, Pierre Mills; three grandsons; and her brothers, including Glen Lewis, with whom she lived.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m Thursday, Feb. 5 at Union Baptist Church in Easton. Burial was in Richardson cemetery.

Seymour I. Sachs
EASTON - Seymour I. Sachs of Easton died Saturday, Jan. 31, 1998 at the Genesis Elder Care, The Pines. He was 82.
Born Feb. 25, 1915, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Abraham and Mary Nieman Sachs. He attended public school in Baltimore and Salisbury. In 1942 he joined the U.S. Army and served with the 82nd Airborne in the European theater in World War II. He received his honorable discharge in 1945.
In 1947 he married
the former Elaine Hartz of Baltimore. They made their home in Baltimore until 1948 when they moved to Ridgely where they owned and operated Sachs and Co. In 1960 they moved to Easton. Mrs. Sachs died in 1995.
Mr. Sachs is survived by a son; Burt E. Sachs of Easton, and a daughter; Arlene S. Wilder of Falls Church, Va.; a brother, Joseph W. Sachs of Baltimore, a sister, Rosalie S. Blum of Yonkers, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4 at the Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home in Easton. Burial was at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Easton.

Julia B. Satterwhite
PHILADELPHIA - Julia Beck Satterwhite died Jan. 28, 1998 at Temple University Hospital. She was 97.
Born March 6, 1906 in Sandtown, Del., she lived for several years in Atlantic City, N.J., where she worked as a baker for a boardwalk restaurant. She returned to Maryland in September, 1956, and worked as a silk finisher at Capitol Cleaners in Dover, Del. Upon retirement, she worked as a caterer for several years. She was a member of the Willing Workers Club of Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church, and attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marydel.
Her husband, James R. "Jimmy" Satterwhite, is deceased.
Mrs. Satterwhite is survived by four daughters, Elaine E. King of Baltimore, Deborah L. Fletcher of Philadelphia, and Dianne Phillips and Alette Echols of Cleveland, Ohio; a stepson, Ralph Rhoden of Philadelphia; and two brothers, Frank Beck Sr. of Philadelphia and John Beck Sr. of Denton. Mrs. Satterwhite was also the legal guardian of her brother John's children, Doris Scott and Jacqueline Beck of Dover, Del. and John Beck Jr. of Denton. She also raised her nephew, Frank Beck Jr. of Philadelphia and three of her grandchildren; Anthony Dumas of Frederica, Del., Robert Dumas of New York, and Terrance Fletcher of Philadelphia.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marydel, Del.
Owen M. Wood
CAMBRIDGE - Owen M. Wood of Cambridge died Saturday, Jan. 31, 1998 at Dorchester General Hospital. He was 76.
Born Nov. 2, 1921 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Owen and Marie Pensel Wood. Raised in Baltimore, he was a graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. He married
the former Julia Taylor in May 1976. The Woods made their home in Baltimore before moving to Wingate. Mr. and Mrs. Wood had recently moved to Cambridge.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Wood is survived by a son, Ronald O. Wood of Baltimore; a stepson, James T. Udes of Belcamp; and two grandchildren, Michael and Douglas Wood.
Funeral services will be private. Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Home, Cambridge.
Dawson F. Cohee
EAST NEW MARKET - Dawson Frederick Cohee of East New Market, formerly of Greensboro, died Monday, Feb. 2, 1998 at his daughter's home in East New Market. He was 81.
Born Sept. 9, 1916 in Denton, he was the son of the late Fred Amos and Ethel Mae Irwin Cohee.
He was employed by the Maryland State Highway Administration for 30 years. He retired from the former Bowman's Gas Service, Ridgely. He served during World War II in the 118th Unit of the U.S. Army as a surgical technician.
He was past post commander of the American Legion Post No. 29, Denton, and remained an active member. He was also a member of VFW Post No. 7937 of Greensboro and the Moose Lodge No. 534 in Harrington, Del.
He married
M. Jane Boyles on June 15, 1945. Mrs. Cohee is deceased.
Mr. Cohee is survived by two daughters, Pamela C. Williams of Alexandria, Va. and M. Lynn Burt of East New Market; a son, D. Kevin Cohee of Sacramento, Calif.; and a sister, Marie Weaver of Greensboro.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 5 at Fleegle-Helfenbein Funeral Home, Greensboro.
Burial was at Denton cemetery, Denton.

Margaret N. Katinsky
HURLOCK - Margaret "Peggy" N. Katinsky of Hurlock died Sunday, Feb. 1, 1998 at Dorchester General Hospital, Cambridge. She was 84.
Born in Eldorado on Sept. 17, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Franklin and Evadna Wheatley Nichols.
She was a graduate of Hurlock High School. After high school she worked for the County Health Department in Hurlock for a number of years. She later worked as a bookkeeper for Corkan Insurance and then worked with her husband in their wholesale floral business.
Her husband, Andrew Katinsky, died Nov. 24, 1980.
Mrs. Katinsky is survived by one brother, James T. Nichols of Hurlock; five nieces and six nephews. A brother, Paul W. Nichols, and two sisters, Barbara E. Kuhn and Louise N. Zan Orden, are deceased.
Services were held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3 at Zeller Funeral Home, East New Market. Burial was in the Unity Washington cemetery, Hurlock.
Dorothy T. S. Swontek
ANNAPOLIS - Dorothy Tilman Schwallenberg Swontek of Annapolis died Sunday, Feb. 1, 1998 at home. She was 83.
She was born in Crozier, Va. She worked at Mac's Market in downtown Annapolis and Rookies Market in Annapolis during the late 1960s and early 1970s.
She attended Eastport United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Mike Schwallenberg, James Schwallenberg and Thomas Schwallenberg, all of Annapolis; four daughters, Mary Ellen Franz and Dorothy Mann, both of Annapolis, Marjorie Campbell of Queenstown and Patricia White of Salt Lake City, Utah; three brothers, James "Pete" Tilman of Annapolis and Thomas Tilman and William Merritt Tilman, both of Florida; a sister, H. Cree Schwallenberg of Annapolis; 18 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 4 at John M. Taylor Funeral Home, Annapolis.
Burial was private.
