Mr. Claude Winston Diggory

Claude Winston Diggory, 88, of Barnesville, died on Sunday October 13 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick.
He was the husband of the late Rollande R. Diggory.
Born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, he was the son of the late Reginald and Annie J. Saxty Diggory.
Mr. Diggory was retired from IBM.
Surviving are two daughters; Muriel D. Greenhalgh and husband Jack of Virginia, Shirley D. Hilton and husband Bill of Barnesville, 5 grandchildren; Woody, Tim and Brent Hilton all of Barnesville, Scott Greenhalgh and Wendy Harris of Virginia, 5 great grandchildren; Brittany, Stephanie, Christina, Matthew and Ashley.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Iris Scott.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday October 16th at 10:30am at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, 18230 Barnesville Road, Barnesville, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:30am.
Interment will be in Gate of Heaven cemetery, Silver Spring.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Mr. Gilbert A. Bell, Jr.

Gilbert A. Bell, Jr., 84, of Poolesville, MD, died on Monday September 23, 2002 at the Martinsburg Veterans Hospital in Martinsburg, WV.
He was the beloved husband of Mildred C. Bell.
Born on March 2, 1918 in Carnegie, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Gilbert A. and Edwina Morse Bell, Sr.
Surviving besides his wife are his sons, John Bell, James Bell, Gilbert Bell, III, daughter Terry Bell, two daughters by marriage, Donna Eley and Sharon Hassett, and two son-in-laws, Martin Eley and Robert Hassett.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 26 at 2pm at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Rd., (Rt. 109), Barnesville, MD with the family receiving friends at 1 pm. Interment will be in Monocacy cemetery, Beallsville, MD.

Mrs. Fannie C. Ensor

Fannie C. Ensor, 77, of Dickerson, died on Saturday September 21, 2002 at her daughter's residence in Dickerson.
She was the wife of the late Harry M. Ensor, Jr.
Born on September 21, 1925 in Dickerson, she was the daughter of the late James Maurice Carlisle, Sr. and Bettie C. Fields Carlisle.
Mrs. Ensor was a member of the Maryland and Virginia Milk Producers Association, Maryland Holstein Association and the Montgomery County Farm Bureau.
Surviving is one daughter, Sharon E. Savage and fiancé Robert L. Burdette, Sr., of Dickerson, two brothers, James M. (Bo) Carlisle, Jr. of Dickerson, Richard V. Carlisle of Frederick, one sister, Helen Carlisle Burdette of Dickerson, six grandchildren; Sherry Randles and husband Scott of Jefferson, Robert Bruce Savage, Jr. and wife Sandra of Dickerson, Michael Leroy Savage and wife Kerstin of Frederick, Kevin M. Savage and wife Laurie of Dickerson, Nicole Jones and husband Chris of Frederick, Kathleen Savage and fiancé Herbert Trent, Jr. of Frederick and 15 great grandchildren; Matthew and Holly Randles, Cody, Cory, Colin, Charles J., Anthoney, Tyler, Catherine and James Harry Savage, Krystle, Steven and Kaitlyn Jones, and Brittany and Dillon Trent.
She will also be fondly remembered by Larry and Dottie King.
Family will receive friends Monday September 23 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Rd. (Rt. 109), Barnesville, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday September 24 at 11am.
Interment will be in Monocacy cemetery, Beallsville.

Mr. Kevin M. McCoy

Kevin M. McCoy, 49, of Poolesville, Maryland on Saturday September 21, 2002.
Husband of Lisa L. McCoy, father of Kelly and Casey, son of Mary McCoy, brother of Barbara Cunningham, Bill, Rich and Robert McCoy.
Mr. McCoy was the owner of McCoy's Plumbing.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday September 25 at 11am at St. Jane Francis De Chantal Catholic Church, 9701 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda, MD.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kevin McCoy Memorial Scholarship Fund for his children. Send donations to any Allfirst Bank, c/o Aika Bhargava, Poolesville Branch (301)349-2281.

Miss Sarah Elizabeth Auer

Sarah E. Auer, 21, of Poolesville, died suddenly as the result of a traffic accident on December 3, 2002 in Rockville.
Born on July 12, 1981 in Washington, DC she was the daughter of Charles and Doris Auer of Poolesville.
Surviving besides her parents are one brother, Timothy C. Auer, one sister, Gretchen Auer both of Poolesville, maternal grandparents Joseph and Doris Norris of Rockville and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family will receive friends on Friday December 6 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church, 17230 Tom Fox Ave., Poolesville, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday December 7 at 11am.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Church cemetery, Barnesville.
In lieu of flowers the family is setting up a scholarship fund in Sarah's name.

Mr. Richard E. Burriss

Richard E. "Jimmy" Burriss, 72, of Frederick, died on Tuesday December 3, 2002 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick.
Born on September 17, 1930 in Montgomery County, MD he was the son of the late William and Margaret Burriss.
Surviving is one daughter, Sharon Foreman of Frederick, three sisters, Virginia Burriss of Wheaton, Mary Fink of Frederick, Shirley Churchill of Prince Georges County, one brother, David Burriss of Wheaton and 2 grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Friday December 6th from 4-6 at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Rd. (Rt. 109), Barnesville, MD .
A cremation will follow the visitation.

Mr. Frank William Wilson

Frank W. Wilson, 67, of Beallsville, died on Thursday November 28 at his residence.
He was the husband of Mary Pat Wilson.
Born on November 10, 1935 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late William H. and Edna Mae Boring Wilson.
Mr. Wilson was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Poolesville where he was a former Senior Warden.
Surviving besides his wife is his son; Frank Benjamin Wilson of California, stepdaughters; Katherine P. Longbrake of Kentucky and Laura M. Cooper of Tennessee, two sisters; Virginia Thompson of Gaithersburg and Delora Schmeltzer of Delaware.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Anna Kennedy.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday December 3 at 11am at the St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 20100 Fisher Ave., Poolesville, MD 20837. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Peter's "Building Fund" or the ALS Association, 615 S. Frederick Ave., Suite 308, Gaithersburg, MD 20877.

Mrs. Mildred Marie Burdette

Mildred M. Burdette, 91, of Dickerson, formerly of Darnestown, died on Thursday November 21 at her residence.
She was the wife of the late Melvin R. Burdette, Sr. who died in 1966. Mr. and Mrs. Burdette were married on March 14, 1927.
Born on December 31, 1910 in Damascus, she was the daughter of the late Jessee Clarence and Olive M. Cromwell Covell.
Surviving are her children; Melvin Burdette, Jr. of Virginia, Maynard Burdette, Sr. and wife Shirley of Boyds, Donald Burdette, Sr. and wife Ann of Virginia, Wayne Burdette and wife Ginnie of Dickerson, Larry Burdette, Sr. and wife Lisa of Jefferson, Geraldine Boswell and husband James of Gaithersburg, one daughter-in-law; Louise Burdette of Brunswick, 21 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
She will also be fondly remembered by Loretta Cregger, Norine Boswell and Cathy Boswell.
Mrs. Burdette was preceded in death by one son, David Burdette, Sr. and all of her brothers and sisters; Clarence, Merhl and Charles Covell, Maude Castle, Annie Stull and Mary Freed.
Family will receive friends on Monday November 25 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road (Rt. 109), Barnesville, Maryland where funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 26 at 11am.
Pastor Ronald Lee of the Princess Anne Plaza Baptist Church in Virginia Beach, Virginia will officiate.
Interment will be in Hyattstown United Methodist Church cemetery, Hyattstown.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, Maryland 21702.

Mr. Lyle Albin Bane, Jr.

Mr. Lyle A. Bane, Jr., 54, of Adamstown, died on Tuesday November 19, 2002 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.
He was the former husband of E. Diane Bane of Adamstown.
Born on March 23, 1948 in Rockville, he was the son of the late Lyle Albin and Frances Bouic Bane.
Surviving besides his former wife are his sons; Lyle A. Bane, III and Dustin Knight Bane both of Adamstown, two brothers; Francis and Raymond Parks both of Rockville.
Mr. Bane was preceded in death by one brother, Albert B. Bane.
Family will receive friends on Sunday November 24 from 6-8 at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Rd., Barnesville, MD . A cremation will follow the visitation.
A memorial service will be held on Monday November 25 at 1pm at the Rockville Free Methodist Church, 1st and Grandin Street, Rockville, MD.

Mr. John Thomas "Pappy" Davis

John T. "Pappy" Davis, 67, of Walkersville, Maryland, died on Wednesday November 13, 2002 at his residence.
He was the husband of Freda Sue Davis.
Born on September 23, 1935 in Great Falls, Maryland, he was the son of the late Joseph and Ruth Mulholland Davis.
Surviving are his children; Edward Lee Hunt and wife Cindy of Pennsylvania, Joanne Hyder and husband Roger of Virginia, Nancy Anderson and husband William of Walkersville, Maryland, Donald Hunt and wife Jeannie of Keymar, Maryland, Paul Hunt and wife Londa of Frederick, Maryland, Ruth Hunt and husband Bruce of Walkersville, Maryland, one brother; Billy Davis, one sister; Marie Davis, 18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by two brothers; Eddie and Beanie Davis.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 16, 2002 at 1pm at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road (Rt. 109), Barnesville, Maryland. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the funeral service.
Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick, Maryland.
