Mr. James C. "Jay" Larmer

James C. "Jay" Larmer, 60, of Frederick, died on Sunday June 29 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
He was the beloved husband of 33 years of M. Ann Larmer.
Born on December 25, 1942 in Washington, DC, he was the son of Arsena Larmer of Silver Spring and the late Clyde Larmer.
Mr. Larmer served in the U.S. Marines Corps, worked for Frederick Gas Company for 11 years, was a member of AMVETS Post #2, loved Ham Radios and his gun collection.
He was also a member of the Hyattstown Christian Church.
Surviving besides his wife and mother is one sister; Judith A. Holston and her husband Lewis of Germantown, one granddaughter; Michelle Sullivan and husband Travis of Virginia and a great grandson; Charles Jason "C.J." Madison also of Virginia.
Family will receive friends from 7-9pm on Tuesday July 1 at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Rd. (Rt. 109), Barnesville, MD where funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 2 at 11am.
Interment will follow in Monocacy cemetery, Beallsville, MD.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hyattstown Christian Church, 26012 Frederick Road, Hyattstown, MD 20871.

Mr. Daniel Lee Jeffers "Danny"

Daniel L. "Danny" Jeffers, 45, of Dickerson, died on Friday June 27, 2003 at his mothers' residence in Dickerson.
Born on December 25, 1957 in Bethesda, Maryland, he was the son of the Blanche Pauline Poole Jeffers and the late Richard William Jeffers.
Mr. Jeffers was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving besides his mother are his brothers and sisters; David Jeffers of Poolesville, Mary Young of Damascus, Eleanor Wilkinson of Dickerson, Nancy Allnutt of Boyds, Barbara Richards of Gaithersburg, his devoted companion, Betty Allen, his faithful dog Louie and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Walter Jeffers.
Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Sunday June 29 at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Rd. (Rt. 109), Barnesville, MD .
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday June 30 at the Dickerson Methodist Church, 20341 Dickerson Church Rd., Dickerson, MD.
Interment will be in Monocacy cemetery, Beallsville, MD.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.

Mr. Richard Johnson, " Dickie"

Richard B. Johnson, "Dickie", 58, of Thurston Road in Dickerson, died suddenly on Saturday October 4, 2003 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick.
Born on February 20, 1945 in Frederick, he was the son of Velma Johnson Ricketts and the late Richard W. Johnson.
Prior to his retirement he was a plumber with K.G. Johnson, Mechanical Contractor. Dickie was an avid drag race fan. He had several cars during his 41 years at 75-80 Drag Way.
He enjoyed trivia, fishing, watching sports and reading, especially history.
He was a tissue donor for the Tissue Donor Transplant Resource Center of Maryland.
Surviving besides his mother is his stepfather; David Ricketts of Frederick, two brothers; Kenneth G. Johnson and wife Irene of Frederick, Elvis Johnson also of Frederick, four sisters; Patricia L. Yokley and husband Robert of Germantown, Shirley A. Ahalt and husband Anthony of Dickerson, Brenda L. Kegley and husband Rickey of Walkersville, Deborah L. Lee and husband Joseph of New Market, two nephews, seven nieces and a special uncle and friend, LaRue Johnson. Family and friends will remember him for his keen sense of humor and wit.
Family will receive friends on Monday October 6 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Rd. (Rt. 109), Barnesville, MD where funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday October 7 with Rev. Ted Keckler officiating.
Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick.
Bearers will be; Robert Yokley, Anthony Ahalt, Rickey Kegley, Joseph Lee, Wayne Johnson and Jimmy Kegley. Honorary bearers are Tonya Ahalt and Dean McMillon.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 200 E. Joppa Road, Suite 105, Towson, MD 21286.

Mrs. Evelyn Allnutt

Mrs. Evelyn Elizabeth Souder Allnutt, 91, of Casco, Maine, formerly of Poolesville, died on Tuesday September 30, 2003 at the Thomas House in Casco, Maine.
She was the wife of the late Lewis "Outie"Allnutt.
Born on November 19, 1911 in Damascus, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Willard Lansdale and Cora Boyer Souder.
Mrs. Allnutt attended school in Damascus, Maryland and graduated from Sibley Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She worked several years in public health nursing and then for 25 years in the offices of Drs. Faucett and Smith in Dawsonville, Maryland. She was well known for her Parker House rolls and chocolate chip cookies. She was a patient and loving wife and a wonderful mother.
Surviving is one daughter; Barbara Lynne Cushman of Maine, one son; Lewis Allnutt III of Highland, Maryland, two sisters; Eleanor Gosnell and Hazel Souder, one brother; Philip B. Souder, 5 granddaughters, 1 step-granddaughter and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother; Willard Souder and a sister, Mary Norris.
Family will receive friends on Friday October 3 from 3-7pm at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Rd. (Rt. 109) Barnesville, MD where funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday October 4.
Interment will follow in Monocacy cemetery, Beallsville, Maryland.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a Hospice organization of your choice.

Mr. Rufus Charles Gilliam

Rufus C. Gilliam, 93, of Boyds, died on Saturday September 27 at his residence.
He was the husband of Flora C. Gilliam
Born on November 20, 1909 in Ronda, North Carolina, he was the son of the late James Charles and Sarah Triplett Gilliam.
Surviving besides his wife are his children; Mary Hurley of Gaithersburg, James C. Gilliam of Florida, Randy Gilliam of Barnesville, two sisters; Pauline Sutton and Frances Fisher both of North Carolina, six grandchildren; Jeanine Hurley, Scott Gilliam, Diane Jordan, Todd Gilliam, Kate Mills, David Gilliam, three great grandchildren; Kyle and Jessica Jordan and Emma Mills.
Family will receive friends on Sunday September 28 from 7-9pm at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Rd. (Rt. 109) Barnesville, MD . Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday September 29 at the Barnesville Baptist Church, 17917 Barnesville Rd., Barnesville, MD 20838. Interment will follow in Boyds Presbyterian Church cemetery, Boyds, MD.
Rev. Joe Ivey, Pastor of the Barnesville Baptist Church, Rev. Randy Gilliam, Associate Pastor of the Barnesville Baptist Church and Rev. Merritt Ednie, Pastor of the Boyds Presbyterian Church will officiate.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Barnesville Baptist Church.

Mrs. Elsie Lee Malone

Elsie L. Malone, 67, of Boyds, died on Monday September 15 at her residence.
She was the wife of the late Kenneth P. Malone, Sr.
Born on December 2, 1935 in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Beulah Nichols Smith.
Surviving are her children; Ernest Smith and wife Debbie of Beallsville, Kenneth P. Malone, Jr. and wife Rhonda of West Virginia, Robert Malone and wife Debbie, William Malone and Nancy Stup all of Boyds, William Smith, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Germantown, one sister; Sarah Allnutt of Lisbon, 16 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and one dauther-in-law, Brenda Smith. Elsie will be missed greatly by her best friends; Janet Fritz, Tim Bennett and Paula Simmons and her family who were considered Elsie's adopted family.
She was preceded in death by one son, Bennie Lee Smith, brothers; Lee Smith, Donald Howard Smith, Russell Smith, James Smith, William Smith, Sr., and one grandson, Keith Allen Smith.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday September 16 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Rd. (Rt. 109), Barnesville, MD where funeral services will be held at 11am on Wednesday September 17th.
Pastor Ken Fitzwater of the Poolesville Baptist Church will officiate.
Bearers will be; Bennie Smith, Kimmy Malone, Keith Stup, Kathy Mills, James Parife and Tim Bennett.
Entombment will follow the funeral service in Resthaven cemetery, Frederick.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Montgomery Hospice, 1450 Research Blvd., Rockville, MD 20850.

Ellen V. Williams

Ms. Ellen V. Williams, 44, of North Carolina, formerly of Damascus, died on Saturday March 13 at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Born on January 9, 1960 in Maryland, she was the daughter of Betty Norris of Buckeystown and the late Walter Norris.
Surviving besides her mother are two children; Alicia Williams of Canada, Valerie Williams of Hagerstown, two sisters and two brothers; Brenda Ward, John Norris, Joseph Norris, Julie Norris all of Hagerstown, one granddaughter; Kayli Williams of Hagerstown, her former husband Wayne Williams of Frederick, a close companion, Jay Hoffman of North Carolina and a dear friend, Evelyn "Grandma" Harding of Germantown.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday March 19 at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, (Rt. 109), Barnesville, with family receiving friends one-hour prior.
Interment will be in Mount Carmel cemetery, Sunshine.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Hilton Funeral Home, P.O. Box 86, Barnesville, MD 20838 to help with funeral expenses.

Ralph S. Burdick

Mr. Ralph S. Burdick, 79, of Dickerson, died on Saturday March 13, 2004.
Mr. Burdick was a native Washingtonian, a graduate of Montgomery Blair High School and the American University in DC.
Beloved husband of Olivia S. Burdick, devoted father of Ralph Jr., Felicia, Joan, Jean, Bernard, John, Robert and Gregg. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Friday March 19 from 5-8 pm at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, (Rt. 109), Barnesville, . Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday March 20 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 18230 Barnesville Rd., Barnesville, MD.
Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven cemetery, Silver Spring, MD.

Blanche P. Jeffers

Mrs. Blanche P. Jeffers, 74, of Dickerson, died on Friday March 12, 2004 at her residence.
She was the wife of the late Richard William Jeffers.
Born on April 26, 1929 in Dickerson she was the daughter of the late Walter S. and Mabel Hungerford Poole.
Mrs. Jeffers, was known as "Splinky" and "Granny" by all that loved her. She was a member of Dickerson United Methodist Church and an avid BINGO player.
Surviving are her children; Mary Ann Young and husband Thomas of Damascus, David Jeffers and wife Kathy of Poolesville, Eleanor Elizabeth Wilkinson of Dickerson, Nancy Allnutt and husband Dennis of Boyds, Barbara Richards and husband Joseph of Gaithersburg, one sister; Mildred Stottlemeyer of Dickerson, 12 grandchildren; Michelle Leppo and husband Michael, Adam and Andrew Young, Melissa Morrow and husband Bill, Brian Jeffers, Michael Cunningham and wife Brenda, Jennifer Simpson and husband Matthew, Amy, Sarah and Kelly Allnutt, Stacy and Emily Richards, 4 great grandchildren; Katie Morrow, Megan Cunningham and Anthony and Stacey Allnutt.
She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Loretta Jeffers and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Jeffers was preceded in death by two sons; Richard Walter Jeffers, Daniel Jeffers, three brothers; Harry, Walter and Raymond Poole, 5 sisters; Jessie Gibson, Helen Collins, Eleanor Clemens, Dorothy Linthicum, Gladys Rachel, one grandson; Ricky Jeffers and one son-in-law Dean Wilkinson.
Family will receive friends on Monday March 15 from 2-4 and 6-9pm at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Rd., (Rt. 109), Barnesville, MD . Funeral services will be held at 11am on Tuesday March 16 at the Dickerson United Methodist Church, 20341 Dickerson Church Rd., Dickerson, MD.
Rev. William Maisch, pastor of Dickerson United Methodist will officiate.
Bearers will be; Michael Cunningham, Matthew Simpson, Thomas Young, Michael Leppo, Brain Jeffers and Lonny Springirth.
Interment will follow in Monocacy cemetery, Beallsville, MD.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Dickerson United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 66, Dickerson, MD 20842.

Arthur R. Tetlow

Mr. Arthur R. Tetlow, Jr., 73, of Luray, Virginia, formerly of Poolesville, died on Wednesday March 10, 2004 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia.
He was the husband of 18 years of Erika Tetlow.
Born on December 7, 1930 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Arthur R. and Emily F. Pier Tetlow, Sr..
Mr. Tetlow served in the United States Army from 1952-1954. He was a member of AMVETS Post #2 and American Legion Post #11. He also liked woodworking, crafts, working in his yard and sitting on his deck watching the river.
Surviving besides his wife are his children; Arthur R. Tetlow, III and wife Jean of Poolesville, Gregory Tetlow of Frederick, Brian Tetlow and wife Samantha of Poolesville, Carol Tetlow of Florida, Elizabeth A. Bower and husband Ronald of Boyds, Kelly Lee of Frederick, his step-children; William Billek and wife Carol of Thurmont, Chris Billek and wife Janice of West Virginia, Tina Bliss of Frederick, Melissa Aiello and husband Richard of Union Bridge, Andrea Arnold and husband Ray of Frederick, one sister; Pauline Shriver of Ohio, 26 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, David Tetlow.
Family will receive friends on Saturday March 13 from 6-8 pm at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, (Rt. 109), Barnesville, where funeral services will be held at 3 pm on Sunday March 14.
Rev. Joe Ivey of the Barnesville Baptist Church will officiate.
A cremation will follow the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association, Memorials and Tributes Processing Center, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216 or Mountain View Community Church, 3401 Urbana Pike, Frederick, MD 21704.
