David W. "Smokey" Schwartzbeck
Mr. David W. "Smokey" Schwartzbeck, 85 of Frederick, MD, formerly of Rockville, MD died on Sunday August 12, 2007 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick.
He was the husband of the late Maxine O. Schwartzbeck.
Born on March 4th, 1922 in Darnestown, MD he was the son of the late George and Sarah Roberts Schwartzbeck.
Surviving is one sister Joyce C. Villella, a close companion Pat Hancotle and many close friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Shirley Young, and two brothers; Donald and Douglas Schwartzbeck..
Mr. Schwartzbeck was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Izaak Walton and the 9th Armored Engineers Association. He served in WWII from 1942 - 1947 in the United States Army and received two Purple Hearts for his participation in the Battle of the Bulge.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday August 15 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road (Rt. 109), Barnesville, MD where funeral services will be held on Thursday August 16 at 11am.
Interment will follow in Parklawn cemetery, Rockville, MD.
Elizabeth I. Johnson
Mrs. Elizabeth I. Johnson "Libby", 78 of Taneytown, MD, formerly of Poolesville, died on Monday July 23, 2007 at the Carroll County Hospital in Westminster, MD.
She was the wife of Henry E. Johnson.
Born in Lewisburg, WV on August 3, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Leslie G. and Nita Hanna Legg.
Surviving besides her husband are two children; Steve Johnson of Taneytown, MD, Donna Armfield of Westminster, three brothers; Bobby Legg, William Legg, Wayne Legg, one sister; Carol Gragg, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Libby was preceded in death by two brothers, Leslie and James Legg.
The family will be receiving friends on Thursday July 26 from 6-8 pm at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Rd. (Rt. 109), Barnesville, MD .
Family will also be receiving friends on Friday July 27 from 6-8 at the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV where funeral services will be held on Saturday July 28.
Interment will follow in Rosewood cemetery, Lewisburg.
Ellen Rose Piazza
Mrs. Ellen Rose Piazza, 56, of Front Royal, VA died on Tuesday July 10, 2007.
Loving wife of John Piazza, mother of Casey P. Reynolds and husband Timothy, daughter of Dr. John C. and Dorothy A. Rose, sister of Nancy R. Rogers, John C. Rose, Jr., Richard D. Rose, Christopher R. Rose and grandmother of Bryant, John and Jillian Reynolds.
Memorial services will be held celebrating Ellen's life on Saturday July 14 at 11 am at the chapel on the campus of Georgetown Prep, 10900 Rockville Pike, N. Bethesda, MD.
Inurnment will take place at 2 pm on Friday August 10 at Arlington National cemetery, Arlington, VA.

John E. Davidson, Sr.
John E. Davidson, Sr., 85, of Dickerson, died on Monday July 9, 2007 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick.
He was the loving husband of Dorothy Davidson.
Born on October 27, 1921 in Beaver Creek, VA, he was the son of the late Robert and Nancy Guy Davidson.
Surviving besides his wife are his children; Patricia Lenhart and husband Clyde of Jefferson, Ricky Davidson and wife Kathy of Monrovia, Roy Alan Davidson of Dickerson, six grandchildren; Ann Hottinger and husband Brian, Lynn Rowland, Rick Davidson, Jr. and wife Katie, Shawn Lenhart, Leann Lenhart, Danielle Davidson White and 9 great grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends on Friday July 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Rd. (Rt. 109), Barnesville where funeral services will be held on Saturday July 14 at 11 am.
Interment will follow in Monocacy cemetery, Beallsville.

Beloved husband of Patricia A. Carey; loving father of one son Dirk Carey and wife Laura and one daughter Tasia A. Holmes and husband Kevin. Beloved grandfather of Kayla and Jessica Carey, Matthew, Joshua and Zachary Holmes. He was the beloved son of Ruth Carey and the late Frank S. Carey, Jr., loving brother of Michael W. Carey and wife Pam, Jeanne Grimaldi and husband Anthony.

Jacqueline Ann Brunschwyler
Mrs. Jacqueline Ann Brunschwyler, 73, of Garrett Park, MD died on Wednesday July 4, 2007at her residence.
She was the loving wife of Philip Brunschwyler, mother of Kate, Greta, John, Lea, Emily, sister of Darrell Rouleau, Marilyn Hardman, Sister Mary Celeste, RSM Burlingame and grandmother of 11.
She was preceded in death by one son, Conrad.
The family will be receiving friends on Friday July 6 at their residence located at 11309 Kenilworth Ave., Garrett Park, MD from 3-8pm. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday July 21 at Holy Cross Church, Garrett Park, MD. Inurnment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville, MD.

Frances Nicholson Jones
Mrs. Frances N. Jones, 86, died on Tuesday June 26, 2007 at the Northampton Manor Health Care Center in Frederick.
She was the wife of the late William T. Jones who died on June 28, 1990.
Mrs. Jones was a longtime resident of Poolesville, where she served as a postal clerk for 28 years until her retirement in 1981. She was also a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Urbana.
Surviving is one brother, Earle Nicholson and wife Marie of Urbana, a sister-in-law, Gladys Nicholson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters; John Nicholson, Annie Ward, Beck Ward, Myrtle Ward, George Nicholson and Dick Nicholson.
The family will receive friends on Thursday June 28 from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road (Rt. 109), Barnesville, MD where funeral services will be held on Friday June 29 at 11 AM.

Martin Patrick Byrne
Mr. Martin P. Byrne, 64, of Poolesville, died on Friday June 15, 2007 at the Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, MD.
He was the husband of Kalliopi Byrne.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Tuesday June 19 at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church in Poolesville.
Interment will follow in Monocacy cemetery, Beallsville.
Benoni Allnutt
Mr. Benoni Allnutt, 90, of Dawsonville, MD died at age 90 on Tuesday, June 12th.

Dr. Michael Anthony Chirigos, Sr., suddenly in the early morning of Saturday June 9, 2007.
Survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Chirigos; his children Nia Chirigos Cresham and husband John of Rockville, MD, Melanie Chirigos Dahlen and husband Garth of Poolesville, MD; nine grandchildren; Alea, John, Michael and Marisa Cresham, Christopher and Deanna Chirigos, Shelby, Allyson and Max Dahlen. He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Anthony Chirigos, Jr.
Dr. Chirigos served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a research scientist, author and editor.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday June 14, 2007 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 7701 Bradley Blvd., Bethesda, MD. Interment will be held at 2 pm on Monday July 9, 2007 at Arlington National cemetery, Arlington, VA.

Maynard Lee Burdette, Sr.
Mr. Maynard Lee Burdette, Sr., 74, of Boyds, MD went to be with the Lord on Sunday June 3, 2007.
He was the loving husband of 53 years of Shirley Ann Burdette.
Born on December 16, 1932 in Hyattstown, MD he was the son of the late Melvin R. and Mildred Covell Burdette, Sr.
Mr. Burdette served his country from 1953 - 1961 in the United States Army and was employed by Hopkins and Porter.
Surviving besides his wife are his children; Maynard Burdette, Jr. and wife Tammy, Sandra Garcia and husband Rafael, Linda Bynaker and husband Michael, Pam Mossburg and husband Dave, Tammy Lynn Tobery and husband Charles, 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, sister, Geraldine Boswell and brothers, Melvin, Wayne and Larry Burdette.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Donnie Burdette and one granddaughter, Heidi Heffner.
The family will receive friends on Monday June 4 from 7-9 pm at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road (Rt. 109), Barnesville, MD where funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 5 at 11 AM.

Mrs. Ann E. Chambers, 68, of Poolesville, MD died suddenly on May 29, 2007 at her residence.
Born on February 8, 1939 in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Marion C. Mahone Showers.
Surviving is her son, John Chambers and wife Theresa of Pennsylvania, sister-in-law, Margaret Showers of Poolesville and 2 grandchildren, Jamie Ann and Joshua M. Chambers.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Showers.
