James E. Jennings
Mr. James E. Jennings "Jim", 80, of Beallsville, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2010 at the Casey House in Rockville.
He was the beloved husband of 40 years of Deanne D. Jennings.
Born on October 1, 1929 in Campbell County, Virginia, he was the son of the late Edward and Janie Harris Jennings.
Surviving besides his wife are his children; Lisa Jennings, Brenda Hartmann (George), James Jennings, Jr. (Terry), Paulette Payton (Ron), a bonus daughter, Pamela Hetrick (Joe), three grandchildren, Jeromey Hartmann, James and Jennifer Jennings, 2 bonus grandchildren, Joseph and Jonathan Hetrick, three great grandchildren, and his buddy Michael Running, who always made him laugh.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Malcolm M. Jennings.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday March 27 at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, Barnesville with the family receiving friends one half hour prior to the funeral service. directions
Interment will follow in Monocacy cemetery, Beallsville.

Evelyn D. Matthews
Mrs. Evelyn D. Matthews, 89, longtime resident of Dickerson, died on March 20, 2010 at Sunrise of Falls Church, VA.
She was the beloved wife of the late Hubert W. Matthews.
She leaves behind her daughter Nancy Cawley of Mclean, VA., grandchildren Dale and Dean Matthews, Max and Kara Cawley, and Rick Bass; daughter-in-law Lorraine Matthews of Glouchester Pont, VA; and brother Herbert Dixon of Leesburg, VA. Her son, Hubert W. Matthews, Jr., predeceased her in 2005. Evelyn Matthews was born and raised in Barnesville, Maryland in upper Montgomery County. She was Barnesville's Postmaster for a number of years, and then moved to Dickerson in 1952 with her husband and young family. She was a kind person with a quick laugh and sparkling eyes. Her gentle, caring ways will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Friends and family are welcome to celebrate her life at the Hilton Funeral Home in Barnesville, Maryland on Thursday, March 25. Cecil M. Shoemaker
Funeral Services for Cecil Marie Shoemaker, 67, of Flagler Beach, who passed away on Friday, March 19, 2010 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 1:30 pm at the Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Rd. S., Flagler Beach. Her family will receive friends on Thursday, March 25, 2010 from 12:30 pm until the 1:30 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place at the Pleasant Hill cemetery in Monrovia, Maryland. Cecil was born on January 16, 1943 in Rockville, MD to the late Arch and Mamie (Nester) Tolbert. She worked as a Receptionist, and she moved to Flagler Beach in 1999, coming from
Maryland. Cecil is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, John K. Shoemaker of Flagler Beach. Additional survivors include her 2 sisters, Barbara Kimball of Murrells Inlet, SC and Phyllis Perry of Martinsburg, WVA; and her brother, Arch Tolbert of Germantown, MD. AnnaBelle Kuldell
Mrs. AnnaBelle Balian Kuldell passed away suddenly on March 9, 2010.
She was a retired cartographer who had worked for the Army Map Service and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. She was a graduate of Hunter College in the Bronx, NY. Mrs. Kuldell raised six children and had 16 grandchildren. In recent years, she was a volunteer at Wolf Trap Farm Park and at the Public Library in Potomac, MD. She was a private pilot for over 50 years and traveled extensively. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Kuldell. She is survived by her sister Frances Fernandez of Tucson, AZ, and Philip's sister, June Cassidy of Stuart, FL. Also surviving are daughters Bettina Isaiah, Pamela Zambrotta, and Suzanne McCutcheon, and sons Randall Kuldell, Scott Kuldell and Philip (Chipp) Kuldell. A memorial service will be held at the Potomac United Methodist Church (www.potomac-umc.org) on March 21st at 1:00 PM.

James F. McHale
The best father, grandfather, and man I have ever known, James Francis McHale, of Poolesville, MD, died at home on Thursday March 25, 2010. He was born in New York in 1916 and came to Washington, DC in 1940, where he met and married
my mom, Jane, who passed away on January 17, 2009. He had two daughters, myself; Pamela McHale Vince and Jane Dickson, who died in 1989 of cancer. His three grandchildren; Melissa Orr, Matthew McHale Vince and Jennifer Ann Vince survive him. He was the greatest storyteller of his time in the Navy during WWII. He taught us the importance of patience and family. He will be cremated, as was his wish. In his memory, donations can be made to Montgomery Hospice.(montgomeryhospice.org)

Mrs. Margaret B. Brown, (Poet), 72, of Potomac, MD died on March 8, 2010.
She was the mother of Patrick Brown (Rhonda), Meg B. Evans (James) and grandmother of 5.

Deborah A. Ricketts
Miss Deborah A. Rickets, 53 of Gaithersburg died on Monday March 1, 2010.
She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Edna Ricketts.
Surviving is her finance Butch Saunders, three brothers Robbie, Ronnie, Danny and two sisters, Joan and June.
She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Marie B. Miller, 84, of Dickerson, MD formerly of Stoney Creek Road, Rockville, died peacefully on Monday February 22, 2010.
She was the wife of the late Rean S. Miller.
Born on October 21, 1925 in Rowan County, North Carolina she was the daughter of the late James and Eula Davis Barger.
Surviving is one daughter, Sherry Kinzie and numerous grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday February 25 at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road (Rt. 109), Barnesville, MD . The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the funeral service.directions

Mr. Daniel G. Ward, 57, of Rockville, died on Saturday February 13, 2010 at the Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville.
