Joan Claire O'Reilly

Mrs. Joan C. O'Reilly, 82, of Middletown, MD, died on Tuesday November 8, 2011.
She was the loving wife of Vincent A. O'Reilly.
Born on September 19, 1929 in Evanston, IL she was the daughter of the late Donald and Clara Dupre.
Surviving besides her husband is one son, Rev. Kevin P. O'Reilly of Barnesville, MD; one daughter-in-law, Kim Balas of Bernardsville, NJ; one brother, Bro. Edwin Dupre, FSC of Chicago, IL and three grandchildren, Anthony, Colin and Brendan O'Reilly of Bernardsville, NJ.
Joan was preceded in death by one sister, Kathleen Dupre.
The family will receive friends on Thursday November 10 from 5-8pm at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 7321 Burkittsville Road, Middletown, MD 21769 directions, where funeral services will be held on Friday November 11 at 10:30 am.
Interment will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Church cemetery, Barnesville, MD where a reception will be held at the pavilion on the church grounds.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church or St. Mary's Catholic Church, Box 67, Barnesville, MD 20838.

Mathilde "Til" Wade Deadrick

Ms. Mathilde "Til" Wade Deadrick, 75, of Rockville, MD died on Sunday November 6, 2011.
Born on March 28, 1936 in Boyds (Bucklodge), MD she was the daughter of the late Crawford and Emma (Newton) Wade.
Surviving is one son, Robert Wade Deadrick of Rockville; one brother, Richard "Buddy" Wade of Frederick; one granddaughter, Kristen Carson; two great grandchildren, Declan and Sophia; cousins, Chuck Wade, Thomas de Beck, Zourie Light and Evelyn Patricia McLaughlin.
The family will receive friends on Thursday November 10 from 1-3 and 6-8pm at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road (Rt. 109), Barnesville, MD where funeral services will be held on Friday November 11 at 10 am.
Interment will follow in St. Mary's cemetery, Barnesville, MD.

Marshall W. Bledsoe, Jr.

Mr. Marshall W. Bledsoe, Jr., 76 of Suitland, MD on November 3, 2011.
Surviving are his children, Darlene Greiser, Steven Bledsoe, Bonnie Knox and Dori Vaughn, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 12 noon on Monday November 7 at the Monocacy cemetery, 19801 W. Hunter Road, Beallsville, MD.

Mary A. Ward

Mrs. Mary A. Ward, 64, of Gaithersburg, died on Saturday October 29, 2011.
She was the wife of James Ward.
Born on May 12, 1947 in Virginia, she was the daughter of Vivian (Fritts) Moore of Brunswick and the late James V. Moore.
Surviving also are her two children, Jimmy Ward, Jr. and Sheila Ward both of Gaithersburg; one sister, Connie Moore of Brunswick; her grandchildren, Chassy Chandler, Dustin Shapiro, Leana Ward, James E. Ward, III and one great grandchild, Jessie Ward.
She was preceded in death by one son, Bryan Ward; three brothers, James, Harold and Larry Moore and one sister, Betty Beasley.
The family will receive friends on Thursday November 3 from 6-8pm at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road (Rt. 109), Barnesville, MD.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mary's name to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org)

Christine L. Carlin

After a long, courageous battle with cancer, Christine ("Chris") Litwak Carlin died peacefully at her home in North Potomac, MD, on Wednesday, October 26, with her husband and daughters by her side.
Daughter of the late John and Ann Litwak, Christine grew up in Van Nuys, CA, and attended Grant High School before enrolling in the University of Maryland at College Park. She was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Speech and Drama. Christine was an avid supporter of the arts, especially music, throughout her life.
Christine is survived by her husband James ("Jim") Carlin and daughters Lindsey and Devon, as well as mother-in-law Evelyn Carlin of Frederick, MD; sisters Maria Morgan, Jackie Tuomey, and Celine Bentley of the Los Angeles area; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2011, at 7:30 p.m., at St. Nicholas Episcopal Church in Darnestown, MD, with Rev. Ken Howard officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Fisher House Foundation (111 Rockville Pike, Suite 420, Rockville, MD 20850-5168) and/or St. Nicholas Episcopal Church (15575 Germantown Road, Darnestown, MD 20874).

Margaret M. Northern

Mrs. Margaret M. Northern, 91, of Poolesville, MD died on Tuesday October 25, 2011 at the Casey House in Rockville, MD.
She was the wife of the late Marshall Northern.
Born on April 4, 1920 in Big Pool, MD, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Grace (Miller) Mills.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Polak and husband Richard of Poolesville, Jean Stafford and husband Emory of Annandale, VA; one sister, Regina Myers of Big Pool; one brother, Wayne Mills of Clear Spring, MD; 4 grandchildren, Kristine, Jennifer, Angela and Michael; and six great grandchildren, Michael, Tyler, Cassandra, Nathan, Connor and Ryder.
The family will receive friends on Thursday October 27 from 6-8pm at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road (Rt. 109), Barnesville, MD where funeral services will be held on Friday October 28 at 11am.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Margaret's name to the Poolesville Baptist Church, 17550 W. Willard Road, Poolesville, MD 20837.

Ellis Lee Roberson

Ellis Lee Roberson, 83, of Frederick, passed away on October 11, 2011 at Glade
Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation.
He was the husband of the late Barbara Ann Roberson, his wife of 60 years.
Born September 28, 1928, in Dickerson, Maryland, he was the son of the late William and Ruth Tobery Roberson. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Roberson.
He is survived by four children, Wayne & wife Janice, Adamstown, MD; Warren of Frederick, MD; Larry & wife Robin, Adamstown, MD; and Gwenda of Frederick, MD. He will be missed greatly by his seven grandchildren, Kristofer & wife Kristin, Kyle, Lacey, Kristen & husband Dan, Megan, Kory & Konnor.
He took over the family business, Roberson Plumbing, in 1953. He was the first
PTA President of Monocacy Elementary School and PTA President of Poolesville
High School. He served as Sunday school superintendent and teacher at Dickerson
United Methodist Church, served as Board Chairperson at Buckeystown United
Methodist Church and received the Melvin Jones Award and Life Membership from
the Yellow Springs Lions Club. In previous years he served as President of the
Carroll Manor Lions Club.
The family will receive friends on Friday October 14th from 4-8pm at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road (Rt. 109), Barnesville, MD where funeral services will be held on Saturday October 15 at 11am.
Interment will follow in Monocacy cemetery, Beallsville, MD.

Mary E. Leith

Mrs. Mary E. Leith, 77, of Fairplay, died on Monday October 3, 2011.
She was the loving wife of Charles W. Leith for 60 years.
Born on July 25, 1934 in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Sarah Tyler.
Surviving besides her husband are three children, Carol Feo of Florida, Earl Leith and wife Sheila of South Carolina, William Leith and wife Michelle of Inwood, WV; one brother, five sisters, 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Leith, one sister, Francis Leith and one granddaughter Heidi Leith.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday October 4 from 6-8pm at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, Barnesville, MD where funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 5 at 11 am.
Interment will follow in Parklawn cemetery, Rockville.

William R. Baker, Jr.

Mr. William R. Baker, Jr., 62, of Berkeley Springs, WV, formerly of Poolesville, MD, died on Saturday October 1, 2011 at the Martinsburg Veterans Hospital in Martinsburg, WV.
He was the husband of Marie Baker.
Born on August 29, 1949 in Frederick, MD he was the son of the late William R. Sr. and Viola E. (Whisman) Baker.
Bill loved to hunt, fish, golf and tend his vegetable and flower gardens.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Surviving besides his wife are two children, Stacie T. Katloski, Joseph W. Baker; two step children, William T. Reedy, Jr., Tina M. Grim and three grandchildren, Jordan and Joshua Reedy and Hannah Grim.
Bill was preceded in death by one son, William R. Baker, III and one sister, Jeanne E. King.
The family will receive friends on Monday October 3rd from 6-8pm at Hilton's Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, Barnesville, MD where funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 4th at 2pm.
Interment in Monocacy cemetery, Beallsville, MD.

Margaret "Peg" A. Snyder

Mrs. Margaret "Peg" A. Snyder, passed away on September 20, 2011 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She died at the home of her youngest son and daughter-in-law with her loving family around her.
Peg was born in Buffalo, NY where she and her younger sister Molly were raised there by their aunts. Peg married her high school sweet-heart, Walter Avery Snyder in Buffalo, NY in 1953. He preceded her in death in 1999.
She is survived by sons Walter Snyder of Comus, MD, Robert of Frederick, MD, John and his wife, Teresa of Frederick, MD and her daughter Susan Mitchell and her husband, Donald Jr. of Rohrersville, MD. She is also survived by grandchildren: Melissa (Snyder) Willett and husband Ian, Erin (Snyder) Presgraves and husband Thomas, Jessica (Mitchell) Clevenger and husband Justin, Katie Snyder, Lottie Snyder and Donald Mitchell 3rd.. She also had the pleasure of being "Grammy" to and hosting tea-parties for her great-granddaughters, Vivian and Julianne Presgraves and she is survived by great-grandchildren Ava and Drake Willett. Peg is also survived by her sister Molly Dee and husband Joe Dee, and numerous great nieces and nephews in New York and Virginia Beach.
Peg enjoyed fishing at the 1000 Islands, frequenting yard sales on Saturdays, celebrating Easter at the Outer Banks and Fourth of July in Buffalo. She regularly hosted birthday and Sunday dinners for her children, grand-children and great-grandchildren! Peg was always ready to travel with her family and often shared the middle seats of the family suburban with her long-time friend Doris Lewis. She will miss her friends at the Valley Young exercise class, the Boonsboro Auction Barn and the Myersville Sunoco where she purchased her lottery tickets.
The family would like to thank her neighbors and friends James and Linda Romans, and Jay and Gail Windsor who looked out for her especially after Walter died.
The family will receive friends on Saturday October 1st at 12:30 pm with a memorial service to start at 1:30pm at Hilton's Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, Barnesville, MD. Inurnment will follow in St.Mary's cemetery, Barnesville. In lieu of flowers Peg asked that donations be made in her name to Hospice of Frederick County, 516 Trail Ave, Frederick, MD 21701.
Her frankness, sensibility and generosity will be greatly missed.
