Leroy C. Archer
Mr. Leroy C. Archer, 71, of Poolesville, died on Wednesday January 12, 2011. He was the husband of Charlotte Archer. Born on April 5, 1939 in Bethesda he was the son of the late Leroy and Delores Jones Archer. Surviving besides his wife are three children, Shelia, Diane and Paul along with 3 grandchildren. The family will be receiving friends on Friday January 14 from 11am - 1 pm at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Rd., Barnesville. directions Graveside services will follow at Parklawn Memorial cemetery in Rockville. Henry H. Clough
Mr. Henry H. Clough, 88, of Sandy Spring, MD died on Saturday January 8, 2011. He was the husband of the late Isabel J. Clough. Surviving are his children, Henry H. Clough, Jr., Camilla S. Clough (Lawrence Fox), Candice Clough; one sister, Helen Stanley; two grandchildren, Kate and Michael Fox. A memorial service will be held at 7 PM on Friday January 14 at the Twinbrook Baptist Church, 1001 Twinbrook Parkway, Rockville, MD 20851. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to the church in Henry's name.
Matthew J. Williquette
Mr. Matthew J. Williquette, 22, of Dayton, MD, formerly of Poolesville, died suddenly on January 7, 2011.
He was the son of Keith and Debra Williquette.
Family is receiving friends on Monday January 10 from 4-8 PM at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Rd., Barnesville.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday January 11 at 11 AM.
Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel cemetery, Sunshine.
Scott S. Kalski
Mr. Scott S. Kalski, 52, of Poolesville, MD on January 7, 2011.
He was the husband of Linda and father of Jake.
He leaves behind his "Boys", Wolfie, Gizmo and Gabriel.
Also surviving are his parents, Lorraine Kalski, Tiberio and Janice Panaccio, one brother, Tim Panaccio (Carla), nieces, Arianna and Allegra Panaccio, one nephew, Nick Panaccio (Heather), a great niece, Mia and one great nephew, Lucas.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Saturday January 15th at the Memorial United Methodist Church, 17821 Elgin Road, P.O. Box 358, Poolesville, MD 20837.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Scott's name to the church.
Howard E. Crane
Mr. Howard E. Crane on December 26, 2010 in the presence of family and friends, passed from this life to be with God. At 93 years of age he is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Barbara Kephart Crane, son Gary of The Villages, Florida, daughter Cheryl Brobst of Seven Lakes, their spouses, five grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. He lived a wonder life and leaves numerous relatives and friends.
Born in Oelrichs, South Dakota, Howard was raised in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended Creighton University, George Washington University and the USDA Graduate School. In WWII he joined the US Coast Guard and served in the Atlantic, Mediterranean and Pacific theater aboard the Navy's mine sweeper US Bibb. Howard retired from the US Department of Justice after 33 years of Federal service. He and Barbara lived in Annapolis Md. for 32 years before moving to Pinehurst in 2006.
Services will be held at St. Peters Episcopal Church, Poolesville MD on Sun Jan 2 at 2 PM. Barbara asks that in lieu of flowers, friends may send a remembrance in Howard's name to the N.C. Schnauzer Rescue, Inc., P.O. Box 1147, Holly Springs, N.C. 27540.
Maryetta F. Bradshaw
Mrs. Maryetta "Mary" Bradshaw, 50, of Poolesville died on December 21, 2010.
She was the wife of Larry Bradshaw.
Also surviving are her children, April, Dawn, Nicole; three brothers, Kenny, Billy, Ronny; seven grandchildren and three special friends, Brenda, Leslie and Mary.
Mary was preceded in death by one brother, Danny and one sister Deborah.
Funeral services will be held at 6 pm on Thursday December 23 at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, (Rt. 109), Barnesville.
A cremation will follow.
Barbara Ann Roberson
Mrs. Barbara Ann Roberson, 77, of Frederick, passed away Monday December 20 at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
She was the wife of Ellis L. Roberson. They were married
for 60 years.
Born December 28, 1932 in Frederick County, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Lula Thompson.
Surviving in addition to her husband are sons Wayne and wife Janice, Larry and wife Robin both of Adamstown, son Warren and daughter Gwenda both of Frederick.
She will be missed greatly by grandchildren Kristofer and wife Kristin, Kyle, Lacey, Kristen, Megan, Kory and Konnor, sister Mary and husband Jack McDonough of Clarksburg and a very dear life long friend Elva Raye Cooley of Clarksburg.
Barbara was a member of the Buckeystown United Methodist Church and a long time member of the Woman's Society of Dickerson United Methodist Church.
The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday December 22 from 4-8pm at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road (Rt. 109), Barnesville, where funeral services will be held on Thursday December 23 at 11 am.
Interment will follow in Monocacy cemetery, Beallsville.

Patricia A. Harris
Mrs. Patricia A. Harris, 65, of Hagerstown, MD died on Sunday December 5th, 2010.
Born on December 17th, 1944 in England, she was the daughter of the late William and Doris Hilling Harris.

Anne Theresa Devers
Mrs. Anne T. Devers, passed away peacefully at her home in Ijamsville, MD on December 4, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Edward J. Devers. Anne was born on June 17, 1924 in Syracuse, NY. She was a graduate of Most Holy Rosary in Syracuse in 1942 and completed secretarial vocational training 1943. She worked at Applied Hydro Acoustics for over 20 years where she was their Executive Secretary and Chief Security Officer. She retired at age 70. She is survived by her sons Wayne and Richard Swift of Orlando, FL and her daughter Kathy Cordelli of Ijamsville, MD. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Devers. She is survived by 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, December 11th at 12 noon at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 18230 Barnesville Road, Barnesville, MD. Mrs. Mary Joe Lane, 69, of Hagerstown, died on Thursday December 2, 2010 at the NMS Health Care Center in Hagerstown.

Harry Earl Taylor
Mr. Harry Earl Taylor, 95, of Gaithersburg, formerly of Rockville, MD, died on Monday, November 22, 2010.
His wife of 58 years, Marguerite S. Taylor, died in 1996.
Surviving are his children, Martha A. Dzioba of New Bern, NC; Albert E. Taylor of Gaithersburg, MD; Nancy E. Bailey of Ft. Thomas, KY; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, November 26 at the Kindley Building, Asbury Methodist Village, Gaithersburg, MD. In lieu of floweres donations may be made to the Barbara Bush Foundation, 1201 15th St., NW, Washington, DC 20005.
Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery, Moosup CT.
Edward B. Byrd
Mr. Edward B. Byrd, 89, of Dawsonville, MD died peacefully at his home on Tuesday November 16, 2010.
He was the loving husband of 59 years of Irma Maria J. Byrd.
Born on October 6, 1921 in Washington, DC he was the son of the late Joseph D. and Lillian Brewer Byrd and brother to the late Joseph D. Byrd.
He is survived by his wife and many cousins.
Ed was a member of the Farmers Club and the Cattleman's Association.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday November 20 at the Darnestown Presbyterian Church, 15120 Turkey Foot Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20878.
Interment will follow on the family farm in Dawsonville, where Ed lived his entire life.
