Rodney Dean Stauffer, 36, of Loveville, MD died January 27, 2005 in St. Mary’s Hospital. Born August 24, 1968 in Loveville, MD he was the son of Anna S. Sensenig and Ammon Z. Stauffer of Loveville, MD. He is survived by his wife Evelyn B. Stauffer; children; Jared, Dwight, Deanna and Megan; and brothers and sisters; Douglas, Lynn, Randy, Stanley and Westley all of Loveville, MD. Mr. Stauffer was a life long St. Mary’s County resident and a carpenter. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 30 from 2 – 6 PM in the family home 25860 Loveville Road, Mechanicsville, MD 20659. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 31 in the family home at 9 AM and 9; 30 AM in the Loveville Mennonite Church, Loveville, MD. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Services; A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at 10; 00 AM in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Leonardtown, MD with Fr. Rory Conley officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens.
Visitation; Public visitation will be held in St. Aloysius Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 25, 2005 from 5 - 8 PM with prayers being said at 7; 00 PM.
George E. “Chip” Wood, 85, of Leonardtown, MD died January 20, 2005 in St. Mary’s Hospital. Born April 15, 1919 in Hollywood, MD, he was the son of the late William Albert and Mary Alice Thompson Wood. He was the loving husband of Gladys Ann Connelly Wood whom he married on October 15, 1940 in Elkton, MD. Mr. Wood is survived by his children, Mearl E. “Gene” Wood and Ron Wood both of Hollywood, MD and Patsy Burger of Lexington Park, MD and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Marie Hill of Mechanicsville, MD and Sister Alice Theresa of Nazareth, KY. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Archie Wood, Irving “Boonie” Wood and Bill Wood and his sisters, Louise Bowles, Mandy Greenwell and Agnes Wood. Mr. Wood was a life-long St. Mary’s County resident and after being married in 1940, Chip was drafted into the U. S. Army and sent overseas. While serving his country at Anzio Beachhead in Italy under intense enemy fire, he tripped a booby-trapped teller mine and received severe injuries. His heroism earned him the Purple Heart and the Silver Star and other military honors. After his honorable discharge from the Army, he worked for McNey Chrysler Plymouth in Leonardtown. In 1950 he began working at Bell Motor Company until his retirement in 1989 after 49 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family, helping his neighbors, gardening, and always enjoyed a good card game. He also enjoyed spending time helping his son, Ron, restore and paint cars. The family will receive friends on January 25, 2005 in St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Leonardtown from 5-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on January 26, 2005 at 10; 00 AM in St. Aloysius Catholic Church with Father Rory T. Conley officiating and interment followed in Charles Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be David Wood, Danny Dean, Donnie Litten, Joe Jones, T. W. Bell and Mike Lathroum. Contributions may be made to the Leonardtown Volunteer Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 299, Leonardtown, MD 20650.

Frank Combs Goldsborough
Frank Combs Goldsborough, 68, of Leonardtown, MD, died on Saturday, January 29, 2005 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Leonardtown, MD.
Born on March 29, 1936 in Leonardtown, MD, he was the son of the late Andrew Jackson and Susan Combs Goldsborough. He worked as a fireman on the Patuxent River Naval Air Station from 1958 until his retirement in 1987. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Weiland “Sookie” Goldsborough, whom he married on October 17, 1959 in St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Leonardtown, MD, three daughters, Anne Tiburzi and her husband Ray of Leonardtown, MD, Melissa “Missy” Geimer and her husband Tim of Tempe, AZ, Frankie Colville and her husband Jeremy of Kensington, MD and a sister, Jackie Bond of Hollywood, MD.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 1, 2005 from 4; 00 p.m. until 8; 00 p.m. in the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. in Leonardtown, MD. Prayers will be recited at 7; 30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at 11; 00 a.m.in Our Lady’s Catholic Church in Medley’s Neck, Leonardtown, MD. The Reverend John Barry will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Ray Tiburzi, Tim Geimer, Jeremy Colville, Tom Bond, Jack Bond and Allen Weiland.

Nellie A. McArthur
Nellie A. "Nell" McArthur of Mechanicsville, Maryland died suddenly on March 23, 2005 in Hughesville, MD. She was 69 years old.
Born October 23, 1935 in High Point, North Carolina to the late Maybelle S. Vaughn Adams and James Benjamin Adams. In her earlier years, Nell was an Interior Decorator and made commercial drapes for Montgomery Wards. Later as a homemaker and mom, she extended her creative talents to landscaping. She was known for her beautiful flower gardens. She loved to sew while collecting dolls and “nick knacks”. She attended the Living Word Community Church in Mechanicsville, MD.
In addition to her parents, Nell was preceded in death by two sons Wayne and Phil Boyer; sister Nancy Adams.
She is survived by her husband Stewart C. “Mac” McArthur; daughter and her husband Kathy and Deane Wolfe; son Tim Boyer; daughter-in-law Debbie Boyer; grandchildren Philippe Boyer, Christy Boyer, Elizabeth Boyer, Jason Wolfe, Tony Wolfe and Amber Boyer; sisters Maydeen Segrist and Ann Adams; brothers James “Garland” Adams, Wesley J. “Jay” Adams, Jerry V. Adams and Robert A. “Buddy” Adams.
Family to receive friends on Monday, March 28, 2005 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. 30195 Three Notch Road Charlotte Hall, Maryland where Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at 12 Noon with Pastor James Wickham officiating. Interment Resurrection cemetery Clinton, MD.
Pallbearers are Deane Wolfe, Tim Boyer, Butch Gieger, Jason Wolfe, Anthony Wolfe, Ed Williams and Philippe Boyer.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Living Word Community Church P. O. Box 1220 Mechanicsville, MD 20659.

Services; A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10; 00 AM on Friday, April 1, 2005 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bushwood, MD with Rev. Francis J. Early officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart cemetery.
Visitation; Public visitation will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, March 31, 2005 from 5 - 8 PM with prayers being said at 7; 00 PM and Fireman's Prayers at 7; 10 PM.

Paralee Juanita Sharp

Died; March 28, 2005
Services; A Funeral Service will be held in the Raiguel Funeral Home, Cairo, WV at 1; 00 PM on Saturday April 1, 2005. Interment will follow in Masonic Memorial Park, Cairo, WV. A Memorial Service will be held at the Lexington Park United Methodist Church, Lexington Park, MD at a later date.

Theresa Esther Cisneros
Theresa Esther Cisneros, 77, of California, MD, died on March 28, 2005 in St. Mary’s Hospital, Leonardtown, MD.
Born on April 14, 1927 in Wexford, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Aidan and Margaret Bennett Fanning. Mrs. Cisneros was a homemaker.
She is survived by a daughter, Dolores Gray of Wexford, Ireland, three sons, Frank Cisneros of California, MD, Michael A. Cisneros of Bolingbrook, IL Fred Cisneros of Manchester, NH, three grandchildren, Christopher Cisneros, Eimear Gray, Clodagh Gray and a sister, Maisie Doyle of Dunchester, England. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Cisneros, Jr. on June 5, 1998.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 31, 2005 in the Hutchens Mortuary, in Florissant, MO from 6; 00 p.m. until 9; 00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 1, 2005 at 11; 30 a.m. in St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church in Hazelwood, MO. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Barracks National cemetery in St. Louis, MO.

Ann Vivian Ricker Finnacom
Ann Vivian Ricker Finnacom, 75, of Tall Timbers, MD, died on April 3, 2005 at St. Mary's Nursing Center. She succumbed to Alzheimer's disease at the age of 75. Mrs. Finnacom is survived by her daughters, Jeannine M. Finnacom, Susan F. Evans, and Robin A. Finnacom, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, her sister Mary L. Duke and two brothers, Michael and Edward Ricker. Her husband Julius James Finnacom preceded her in death.
Originally, from Washington, D.C., Mrs. Finnacom lived in Tall Timbers, Maryland for the last 50 years of her life.
An avid gardener, tennis, and bridge player, Mrs. Finnacom was active in the St. Mary's County Women's Club and served as the President of the County's Antiques Society. She was known for her stylish good looks and close friendships.
A Funeral Service was held April 6, 2005, 7; 00 p.m. at Brinsfield Funeral Home in Leonardtown, MD. The family received friends from 5; 00 p.m. to 7; 00 p.m. that evening. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested for "Project Lifesaver", c/o Office of the Sheriff, St. Mary's County, 23150 Leonard Hall Drive, Leonardtown, Maryland 20650. A private interment will follow.

Francis Aloysius Holt
Francis Aloysius Holt, 72, of Morganza, MD died on April 3, 2005 in Leonardtown, MD. Born in St. Mary’s County July 15, 1932, he was the son of the late James Foley Holt and Helen Marie (Rustin) Holt.
Aloysius was also preceded in death by his brother James L. Holt.
He is survived by 6 brothers, William D. Holt, Charles L. Holt, Joseph N. Holt, Robert A. Holt, Harry I. Holt, George F. Holt and 2 sisters, Marie A. Mason and Georgiana C. Gray, all of Morganza, MD, 4 sister-in-laws, 2 brother-in-laws and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2005 from 9 a.m to 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Morganza, MD and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11; 00 a.m. also at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Father Keith Woods will officiate. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace cemetery in Helen, Maryland.
Arrangements were provided by the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., Leonardtown, Maryland.

James Henry Bolt
James Henry Bolt, 58, of Leonardtown, Maryland died on April 4, 2005 at Bayside Care Center, Lexington Park, Maryland.
He was born on December 13, 1946 in Lexington Park, MD. Mr. Bolt was a 1964 graduate of Great Mills High School. He served his country in the US Navy from 1964 until 1974. He was a Viet Nam Veteran.
Jimmy leaves to mourn his beloved wife and best friend, Tanya Beamon Bolt of Leonardtown, MD, mother, Edna Bolt-Barnes of Lexington Park, MD, his children James Bolt, Jr. of Baltimore, MD, Jonathan Bolt of Wilmington, NC, Raymond Fenwick of Lexington Park, MD, Rhonda Bolt of Hampton, VA, Rachael Bolt of Bernardsville, NJ, and Olivia Bolt of Bernardsville, NJ, step-children, Ione Wilson of Fredericksburg, VA, Valerie Steward of Fredericksburg, VA, Joseph Whalen of Hermitage, TN, and Dwight Whalen of Hampton, VA, grandchildren, Aaron, Dominique, Tavon, Zavion, James, Danielle, and Eddie, brothers, Joseph Bolt of California, MD, William Bolt of Lexington Park, MD, sister, Beverly Bolt of Waldorf, MD, foster sisters, Betty Holly of Lexington Park, MD, Yvonne Bowman of Waldorf, MD, Stephanie Moates of Mechanicsville, MD, 14 Grandchildren, and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Henry Bolt, daughter Renee Bolt, and brother Jamal Bolt.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Park Hall True Holiness Church, Park Hall, MD at 12; 00 p.m.
Funeral Arrangements were provided by the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., Leonardtown, MD.

Sarah Catherine Thompson
Sarah Catherine Thompson, 92, of Clements, MD, died on April 2, 2005 in St. Mary’s Hospital, Leonardtown, MD.
Born on December 2, 1912 in Clements, MD, she was the daughter of the late Peter Haverman Thompson and Sarah Amanda Wood Thompson. Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker. Her hobbies were cooking, sewing, gardening and reading.
She is survived by two daughters, Teresa “Terri” Wood of Clements, MD and Marie Redmond and husband Irving of Clements, MD, a daughter-in-law, Mary Paula Thompson, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. In addition to her parents, shse was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Walter Thompson, whom she married on April 23, 1936 in St. Joseph’s Church, Morganza, MD, a son, Walter Joseph Thompson, and two sisters, Emma Armsworthy and Louise Mattingly.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 from 4; 00 p.m. until 8; 00 p.m. in the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. in Leonardtown, MD. Prayers will be recited at 7; 00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at 11; 00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Morganza, MD. The Reverend Keith Woods will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Redmond, Andy Redmond, David Wood, Chris Wood, Kevin Thompson and Brian Russell.

George Calvert Norris
US Army, Korean War Veteran
George Calvert Norris, 73, of Leonardtown, MD, died on April 10, 2005 in St. Mary’s Hospital in Leonardtown, MD. He was born in St. Inigoes, MD on January 27, 1932.
Mr. Norris served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954. He was a Korean War veteran. During his military service, he was awarded the Korean Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the ROK Presidential Unit Citation.
He was employed as a civilian electrician at the Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, MD until 1982. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, his grandchildren and cooking meals for large gatherings of family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Norris of Leonardtown, MD, his children, George (Matt) Norris of Clarksville, MD, Michael Norris of Mechanicsville, MD, Gail Nash of Leonardtown, MD, Rose Jasper of Leonardtown, MD and Donna Isenberg of Mechanicsville, MD, daughters-in-law, Betsy Norris and Sandy Norris, sons-in-law, Hary Nash, Timm Jasper, and Bill Isenberg, grandchildren, Monica and Nicole Norris, Kenneth Nash, Tim and Jennifer Jasper, Michael and Chris Isenberg, brother Joseph Jerry Norris of Ridge, MD and godchildren, Joseph George Parent of Germany and Kim Marie Callanan
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Jerry Norris, his mother, Rose Trossbach Norris Stone, daughter, Judy Wood, son-in-law, Bobby Wood and brothers, Louis Andrew Norris and Thomas Clarence Norris.
The family will receive friends at St. Michael’s Church in Ridge, MD on April 13, 2005 from 5; 00 p.m. until 8; 00 p.m. Prayers will be recited at 7; 00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on April 14, 2005 at ------- in St. Michael’s Church. The Reverend -------- will be the celebrant.
