Mary Formwalt Myers, 92, of Westminster, formerly of Mayberry, died Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Carroll Lutheran Village Healthcare Center where she had resided since January, 2010.
Born August 7, 1919, in Tyrone, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Sadie Flickinger Formwalt.
She was the wife of the late J. Preston Myers, Sr. who died April 11, 2001.
She was a 1936 graduate of Taneytown High School.
She worked for Cambridge Rubber for 21 years.
Later, she worked at Ames Department Store in Westminster where she retired as manager of the women’s department.
She volunteered for the Red Cross and Springfield Hospital as a Grey Lady.
She was an active member of Emmanuel Baust United Church of Christ until her move to Carroll Lutheran Village, and she served as Elder and Kindergarten Sunday School teacher for 21 years.
She and her husband enjoyed camping at various campgrounds in Maryland and nearby states, making friends with campers and rangers at the parks.
She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and following the Baltimore Orioles.
She looked forward to attending the Westminster Senior Center to play bingo.
She was great at keeping in touch with her friends and family by phone, cards and letters.
She always enjoyed hearing stories about the grandchildren and great grandchildren and was happy when they visited her.
Surviving are her sons and spouses; John, Jr. and Peggy Myers of Westminster and Jim and Amy Myers of Mt. Airy.
She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and spouses, Joel and Kristel Myers, Stephanie and Shawn Hagan, Kevin and Stacey Myers and Julie and Mark Lohman, 6 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brother William Formwalt and half brother Charles Formwalt.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gerald Hanberry of Emmanuel Baust United Church of Christ officiating.
Interment will be in Meadow Branch cemetery.

William H. Bell, 81, of Westminster, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at Transitions Healthcare in Sykesville.
Born May 5, 1931 in Westminster, he was the son of the late Walter F. Sr. and Beulah Mathias Bell.
He was the husband of the late Shirley Louise Bell, who died in December, 2010.
He was a graduate of Westminster High School Class of 1950.
He was retired from Baltimore Gas and Electric where he worked as a Senior Outage Scheduler.
He was a member of the Molleville Farm Post 467, Door to Virtue Lodge 46, Carroll Royal Arch Chapter 31, Knights Templar Commandery 17 and St. John's (Leisters) Lutheran Church.
He enjoyed planting gardens and camping.
Surviving him is a daughter Connie Bell of Westminster, a son and daughter-in-law William L. and JoAnn Bell of Littlestown, PA, and a brother Walter F. Bell, Jr. of Hagerstown.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster with his pastor, Rev. Kristin Dubsky officiating.
Interment will be in St. John's (Leisters) Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday 2-4 and 6-8 pm. where a Masonic Service will start at 7:30 p.m.

Roger Royer “Bub” Devilbiss, 79, of Littlestown, PA died Friday, June 15, 2012 at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill, PA.
Born August 18, 1932 in Pleasant Valley, he was the son of the late Roger Zile and Ethel Royer Devilbiss.
He was the husband of the late Catharine Virginia “Kitty” Devilbiss, who died August 14, 2009.
He retired from Gabler Trucking Company, where he was an independent carrier, after 36 years.
In his earlier years he worked on the family farm in Pleasant Valley for 25 yrs and also owned a dairy farm in Manchester for 10 years.
He also worked at 3M for 4 years.
He belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2226.
He enjoyed being with his family and friends, farming, listening to Blue Grass music and traveling.
Surviving are children Vicki Wisner Devilbiss of Littlestown, and Michael Devilbiss and his wife Cecilia of Taneytown, brothers and sisters Doris “Sis” Schreiner, Larry “Butch” Devilbiss, Richard “Tood” Devilbiss, twins Don and Doug Devilbiss, Linda Devilbiss, and Paul “Slim” Devilbiss all of Westminster, grandchildren Terra Neely of Southern Maryland and Jenna Devilbiss of Taneytown.
He was predeceased by brother William “Billy” Devilbiss.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster.
A memorial service will be held the following Friday, June 29th at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Deacon Charles Barnhart, Jr. officiating.

Paula Zamerelli Ehmann, 54, of Westminster, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012, after a four-year long battle with uterine cancer.
Born June 5, 1958, in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of Carl F. Zamerelli of Westminster and the late Rose Faraone Zamerelli.
She was the wife of William F. Ehmann, her husband of 31 years.
She was a 1980 graduate of Towson University.
Paula was an Early Childhood teacher for the past 31 years for the Carroll County Public Schools, Sacred Heart of Glyndon School and Holy Family School.
She was active in the Relay for Life and chaired a team for numerous years.
She was a parishioner of St. John's Church in Westminster where she taught religious education for several years.
She loved trips to Hampton Bays, New York where she vacationed each summer.
She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving in addition to her husband and father are her three daughters Jena A. Ehmann of Westminster, Sarah C. Ehmann, and Rachel E. Ehmann of Frederick, a sister Carla Zamerelli-Clifford of Westminster, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and one great-nephew that she loved dearly.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. at the Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster where a Christian Wake service will be held at 4:30 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John's Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster on Friday at 10:30 am with the Rev. Michael Carrion officiating.
Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg.

Lawrence Stewart Dull, 80, of Shalimar, FL, formerly of Westminster, died Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.
Born March 29, 1932 in Snydersburg, MD, he was the son of the late Milton and Edna Horning Dull.
He was a veteran and of the United States Army as a Supply Warrant Officer until his retirement in 1971.
He moved to Freeport, Florida and started a small boat and outboard motor business from 1972 until he retired in 2002.
His hobbies were bowling, golf and fishing.
Surviving him are children and spouses Donna and James W. “Bo” Darr of New Windsor, David D. and Annette Dull of Germany, and Dale Dull of Hanover, PA, grandchildren David James Dull and Michael Darr, great-grandson Ethan Johnson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, Lester, Emory and Paul Dull.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Pritts Funeral Home, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster.
Interment will be held on Friday at Meadow Branch cemetery for immediate family only.
