ALBERT A. DeSTEFANO, SR.
On Wednesday, November 21, 2012 of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Rose M. DeStefano; son of the late Rocco and Anna DeStefano; father of Paul J. (Chris), James P. (Debby), and the late Albert A. DeStefano, Jr.; brother of Anne DeStefano and the late Salvatore, Carol, Rose and Teresa; grandfather of Mark DeStefano, Laura Acton, Brian DeStefano, Katherine DeStefano, Stephen Farias and David Farias; great grandfather of Sarah, Anthony, Luke, Conor, and Finn. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Albert was an attorney at Becker, Ross, Stone, DeStefano & Klein in New York City for over 50 years. Later in his career, he taught at Fordham School of Law at Lincoln Center. Albert enjoyed spending time with his family, sharing his wisdom with his loved ones, politics, and sports. ROBERT T. DRAKE

SOPHIA ONUFRAK “Sophie” (Age 81)

Onufrak, Sonia Jennings (Alan) and Peter Onufrak (Christine); sister of the late Stephen, Peter, Andrew, Michael, Walter and Nicholas. Also survived by 7 grandchildren. Beloved wife of Raymond Malengo; mother of Judy Carnahan (Jack), Paul Malengo (Vicky) and Mark Malengo (Kimberly); grandmother of Heather LaDuca, Raymond Malengo, Rachel Williams, Paige Malengo and Taylor Malengo; great-grandmother of Drew LaDuca and Hannah Williams; sister of Anthony, Carmen, Rose, Janet and the late John, Joseph, Margaret and Mary. HARRY E. LELAND
Lt. Col. Marine Corps (Ret.)
Harry E. Leland died peacefully after a long illness on November 19, 2012. He is survived by his wife Lois Adkins Leland who resides at their home in Potomac, MD. He also is survived by his son Harry Leland (Nilah); his daughter Donna Hunter; his son William Leland; his daughters Diane Langley (Joseph) and Janice Leland; his stepdaughter Lynn Adkins and stepson Gary Adkins, and 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was a retired Lt. Col. in the Marine Corps and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. The funeral will be held at 12:30 p.m., Sunday, November 25 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at 4900 Connecticut Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20008. A reception will be held following the 12:30 p.m. service. Interment Arlington National cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or the Fisher House Foundation, 1401 Rockville Pike, Suite 600, Rockville, MD 20852.

FRANCISCO CARCAMO “Paco”
Honduran born, longterm resident of Silver Spring, MD, died, November 18, 2012. Dear husband for 50 years of Ines A. Carcamo; father of Francisco J. Carcamo, Jr. and Vivian Fairbairn; brother of Armando, George, and Irene; also survived by five grandchildren and one great-grandson. Frank was the proud owner and operator of Reeves Restaurant and Bakery in Washington, DC. Despite living here for over 50 years, he never forgot his homeland. Brother ALEXIS NORTON, S.T.
Died peacefully after a long illness on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Sacred Heart Home, Hyattsville, MD. Brother Alexis, a native of Brooklyn, New York, served in the U.S. Navy in WWII. In 1950, he joined the Missionary Servants of the Most Holy Trinity, an order of Catholic Priests and Brothers. Most of his years as a member of the missionary order were spent in financial management; in 1973, he was appointed chief financial officer, a position he held until 1999. A member of Alcoholics Anonymous – which he happily admitted to all, he was known over a wide area of the eastern U.S. for his work with 12-step programs as a spiritual guide, retreat director, and personal counselor. Brother Alexis was predeceased by his parents, James and Mary Rabbit Norton, and five siblings. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held at St. Luke Institute Chapel, 8901 New Hampshire Ave, Adelphi, MD, on Tuesday, 7 to 9 p.m.; with the wake service at 8 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Luke Institute Chapel on Wednesday, November 21, at 10 a.m. In memory of Brother Alexis, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Missions (memo line: Br. FRANK EUGENE MARCHONE
On Saturday, November 17, 2012, of Chester, MD. Beloved husband of Sandy Schiavelo Marchone; father of Darlene Marchone, Tina Marchone, Kristin Vess and Frank “Tony” Marchone. Also survived by seven grandchildren, fiVe brothers and five sisters. Frank was the owner of Marchone’s Italian Delicatessen, open since 1955.
