On Wednesday, August 8, 2012 of Silver Spring, MD. Born on February, 11, 1927 to Charles Frank Sr. and Edith Butler in Memphis, TN. Beloved husband of 62 years to Patricia Jack Coyle; father of Brian Jack Coyle and Melissa Richards; brother of Alfred Bruce Coyle; grandfather of Christina Lee, Catherine Elizabeth, Travis Parker, Jenna Bernacchi. Also survived by three great-grandchildren. Attended UT and graduated American University with a degree in chemistry. Worked for the National Park Service, Bureau of Standards, and Bureau of Radiological Health/FDA. Organist, choir director, and Deacon of Veirs Mill Baptist Church for many years. Enjoyed music, gardening, stamp collecting, and the many friends he met upon the way. Of Leisureworld, Silver Spring, MD, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2012. She was predeceased by her first husband, Stuart C. Ricker (1972) and her second husband, Charles “Karl” W. Hoffman (2007). She is survived by her daughter, Susan T. Romano and her husband, Leonard; loving grandmother of Lucian S. Romano and his wife, Jennie of Laytonsville, MD, Mary Jo Kight and her husband, Zachary of Brookeville, MD, Regina L. Lindquist and her husband, Andrew of Derwood, MD, Cristin S. Lauer and her husband, Brandon of Columbia, MD. She is also survived by ten cherished great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Former employee of NASA and the IRS. Her hobbies included travel, films and politics.
