Robert L. Harrison
CHESTERTOWN - Robert L. Harrison of Chestertown died Friday, Oct. 16, 1999, at his home. He was 77.
Born at , Md., he was the son of the late Joseph Price and Clara L. Miller Harrison.
Mr. Harrison had been a caretaker near Easton for 28 years. He recently worked near Chestertown, retiring in 1997. He also was a furniture builder and master carver. Mr. Harrison served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a member of the American Legion Frank M. Jarman Post No. 36 in Chestertown.
Mr. Harrison is survived by his wife, June M. Harrison; a son, R. Bruce Harrison of Nantucket, Mass.; a daughter, Susan Harrison of Chestertown; two sisters, Frances Holden of Ridgely and Clara Belle Moore of Queenstown; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A brother, Joseph P. Harrison is deceased.
Services were held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 20, at Moore Funeral Home, Denton. Burial was at Greenmount cemetery, Hillsboro.

Rowena F. Adams
CAMBRIDGE - Rowena F. Adams of Cambridge died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999, at Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge. She was 79.
Born Sept. 9, 1912 at Bishops Head, she was the daughter of the late Olie and Arie Truitt Robinson.
She was raised and attended public schools in the Bishops Head area of Dorchester County. For most of her life she resided in Cambridge, where she had been employed at Coastal Foods and later at Bumble Bee Tuna.
She was formerly a member of the Women of the Moose.
On Oct. 16, 1948 she was married
to Thomas H. Adams. Mr. Adams died Jan. 29, 1980.
Since March 1994 she made her home at the Mallard Bay Center in Cambridge.
Mrs. Adams is survived by two daughters, Ernestine Wheatley of Cambridge and Daphne Legg of East New Market; two sons, Thomas H. Adams Jr. of Cambridge and James T. Adams of Secretary; eight grandchildren; and several great and great-great grandchildren. A sister, Veda Robinson; three brothers, Wilbur Robinson, Weldon Robinson and Theodore Robinson; and a grandson are deceased.
Services were at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 19, at Thomas Funeral Home, where friends called one hour before services. Burial was in Dorchester Memorial Park.

Ethel Marie Cotton
CHESTER - Ethel Marie Cotton of Chester died Monday, Oct. 18, 1999, at her home. She was 35.
Born June 6, 1964 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Richard Melvin Sauers Sr. and the late Mary Annie Johnson.
She attended school in Glen Burnie.
She married
Norman Cotton on June 29, 1991 and moved to Chester, where she was a homemaker and a seasonal employee of the Mount Hope Farm of Prospect Bay in Grasonville.
She was a member of the women of the Moose Chapter 1696 in Queenstown.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Cotton is survived by her father Richard M. Sauers Sr. and stepmother Kathleen Marie Sauers, of Grasonville; two sons, William Sauers of Stevensville, and Robert Sauers of Chester; one stepdaughter, Denise Cotton of Baltimore; two brothers, Richard M. Sauers Jr. of Glen Burnie, and Albert F. Sauers Sr. of Pennsylvania; three sisters, Rose Marie Pleasant of Baltimore, Mary Annie Carper of Brooklyn, Md. and Donna Heffner of Brooklyn, Md.; a stepsister, Dawn Gant of Grasonville; one granddaughter; and one step-granddaughter.
Services were held 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 21, at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, Chester, where friends called Tuesday, Oct. 19, from 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday, Oct. 20, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Burial was in Cedar Hill cemetery, Suitland.
Sarah V. Faulkner
CENTREVILLE - Sarah Viola Faulkner of Centreville died Friday, Oct. 15, 1999, at her home. She was 87.
Born June 30, 1912 in Centreville, she was raised by her father, the late Benjamin Seward, and her aunt, the late Grace Zimmer.
She married
Francis Lee Faulkner on Oct. 1, 1949, and the following December the couple moved to the Hermitage Farm in Centreville, where they resided for the past 50 years.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Faulkner is survived by her son, Francis Lee Faulkner II, of Florida, and a sister, Peggy Cosima of Arizona. A brother, Walter Smith, and a sister, Mildred Seward, are deceased.
Services were held 10 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 20, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Centreville. Burial was at Chesterfield cemetery
in Centreville.

Norma M. Gallahan
CHESTER - Norma M. Gallahan of Chester died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999. She was 80.
Formerly of University Park, Md., she was the wife of Wilbur F. Gallahan.
Mrs. Gallahan is survived by four sons, Martin Gallahan, Carl Gallahan, Raymond Gallahan, and David Gallahan; three daughters, Margaret Myers, Mary Jane Gallahan, and Dorothy Gast; a sister, Joan Miles; a brother, Carl Rieman; and 10 grandchildren, Stephen, Mark, Melanie, Paul, Amy, Lindsay, Andrew, Whitney, Tara and Kaitlin.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 21, at St. James Catholic Church, 3628 Rhode Island Ave., Mt. Rainier, Md. Friends called at Gasch's Funeral Home, 4739 Baltimore Ave., Hyattsville, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 20.
Burial was at Fort Lincoln cemetery.
Amanda L. McGinnes
CHESTERTOWN - Amanda Lee McGinnes of Chestertown died Friday, Oct. 15, 1999, at her home. She was 71.
Born Feb. 7, 1928 at Roberts Station, near Church Hill, she was the daughter of the late Medford and Louise Altvater Coursey.
After graduating from Church Hill High School, she attended Goldey Beacom Business College.
In 1946, she married
Ralph W. McGinnes and they made their home near Church Hill.
Mrs. McGinnes was employed by Queen Anne's County as a secretary for the Trial Magistrate and Planning and Zoning.
In 1965, she and her husband moved to Deep Landing, and in 1983 she retired from county employment.
She had been an active member of Chestertown Baptist Church for nearly 20 years.
In addition to her husband of 53 years, Mrs. McGinnes is survived by a son, Mac McGinnes of Church Hill, and two grandchildren, Anne Louise McGinnes of Rock Hall and Rebecca "Cissy" McGinnes of Church Hill.
Services were held 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 18, at Chestertown Baptist Church. Burial was at Crumpton cemetery.

M. Russell Milligan
HURLOCK - M. Russell Milligan of Hurlock died Thursday, Oct. 14, 1999, at his home. He was 59.
Born Dec. 5, 1939 in Hurlock, he was the son of the late Mabel Alice Seeders Milligan and Norman E. Milligan Sr.
A graduate of North Dorchester High School, Mr. Milligan served in Germany in the U.S. Army, where he was a heavy equipment operator. He then was employed as a computer operator technician with Bell Atlantic for 29 years, retiring Feb. 17, 1999.
Mr. Milligan is survived by his wife, Doris M. Sheffield Milligan; his stepmother, Bessie Milligan of Seaford; one daughter, Sherry Ann Travis of Glenville, Pa.; two sons, Robert Alan Milligan of Glen Burnie and Nicholas Hutchinson of Baltimore; two stepsons, William F. Allen Jr. and Stewart Francis Allen, both of Hurlock; a sister, Margaret White of Delmar, Del.; four brothers, Norman Milligan Jr. of Pasadena, William Milligan of Savannah Ga., Charles Milligan of Annapolis, and G. Ronald Milligan of Pasadena, Md.; and two grandchildren.
Services were held 1 pm., Tuesday, Oct. 19, at Framptom-Hawkins-Eskow Funeral Home, Federalsburg. Burial was at Unity Washington cemetery, Hurlock.
Friends called at the funeral home Tuesday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
