Stephen Crocker
BIDDEFORD -- Stephen Michael Crocker, 36, died Monday (listed Wednesday, May 10, 2000) at the Newton Health Center in Sanford after being in a coma for 28 years following an auto accident.
He was born in Biddeford on Aug. 21, 1963, the son of Ernest Sr. and Marguerite (Bowman) Crocker, and had attended Waterboro schools until the age of 8.
A brother, William F., died previously.
He is survived by his parents of Etna; two brothers, Ernest Jr. of Detroit and Patrick of Dover, Fla.; one sister, Brenda McLain of Kennebunk; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Joan Lehoux
SANFORD -- Joan E. Lehoux, 66, died April 18, 2000 at the Newton Center.
She was born Dec. 10, 1933 in Buffalo, N.Y., the daughter of Ermin and Veronica (Konopa) Gradwohl, and attended school there.
She moved to Maine in 1956 and maintained the family estate. In 1970 she designed and built the Pinewood Mobile Home Court, mwhich she operated and maintained for the nexy 17 years, stressing on keeping it very community- and family-oriented. She retired in 1987.
Ms. Lehoux was said by her family to have a dynamic personality. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and her cat, Friskie. In her spare time she would tend to her flower garden or feed the birds. She was a nature lover and would always care for any animal in need.
Surviving are a daughter, Deborah Tippett of Sanford; two sons, David of Sanford and Donald of Arizona; three sisters, Rita Sweeney of Pennsylvania and Marcia Trebb and Therese Chaplin of New York; a brother, Richard Gradwohl of New York; and three grandchildren.
Thomas McArdle
BIDDEFORD -- Thomas F. McArdle, 85, of Hills Beach, died at home on May 2, 2000.
He was born in Philadelphia, Pa. on Feb. 13, 1915, a son of Robert and Regina (Cotter) McArdle.
He had been a longtime resident of Brigantine, N.J.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Helen "Penny" McArdle of Hills Beach; four daughters, Tracye of Voorhees, N.J., Shannon Fitzgerald of Brigantine, Susan of San Francisco, Calif. and Kelly Mourmouras of Hills Beach; and six grandchildren.
Frances Scott
SACO -- Former resident Frances Welz Scott, 55, died Monday (listed Wednesday, May 10, 2000) at her home in Seymour, Conn.
She was born Dec. 4, 1944 in Saco, a daughter of Frank and Hortence Dumas Jordan, and was a resident of Derby, Conn. for most of her life.
Mrs. Scott worked for Spectrum Plastics Molding Resources for many years before retiring.
Surviving are three sons, Richard Douglas Welz of San Diego, Calif., Mark Welz of Hamden and Leon Welz of Naugatuck, Conn.; two daughters, Rebecca Mitchell of Montrose, Colo. and Carol Jean Madgic of Seymour; two brothers, Reggie and Tom Arsonald, both of Rumford; four sisters, Charlene Green of Jacksonville, Fla., Donna White and Carol Johnston, both of Kennebunk, and Victoria Mycue of Amesbury, Mass.; and seven grandchildren.
Wesley Weeman
BUXTON -- Wesley D. Weeman, 76, of Boynton Road, died Monday (listed Wednesday, May 10, 2000) at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
He was born July 1, 1923 in Hollis, a son of Arthur and Ethel Mae Harmon Weeman, and was educated in Buxton schools.
Mr. Weeman had worked at the Bradbury Box Shop and the Highway Department for the town of Buxton.
He enjoyed woodworking.
Survivors include two sisters, Gertrude Davis and Leona Davis, both of Buxton, and many nephews and nieces.

JOAN E., died April 18, 2000 in Sanford. A memorial Mass will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Ignatius R.C. Church in Sanford, Father Raymond Auger officiating. Arrangements by Heald Funeral Home, Springvale.

WESLEY D., of Buxton, died May 8, 2000 in Portland. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the South Buxton Cemetery. The Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home of Buxton is in charge of the arrangements.
George Dube
OLD ORCHARD BEACH - George H. Dube, 75, of Manchester, Conn., and a frequent visitor to Biddeford and Old Orchard Beach, died Friday (listed Thursday, January 22, 1998) at Manchester Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 5, 1922, in Pittsfield, Mass., a son of Henry and Anne Richardson Dube.
During World War II he served in the Navy.
Mr. Dube worked as an independent truck driver. He lived in Maine before moving to Manchester three years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Elizabeth DeMarr Dube; three sons, Jeffrey of Biddeford, Paul of Old Orchard Beach and Richard of Virginia; three daughters, Cheryl Beattie of Boston, Cynthia Smith of Lebanon, Pa., and Jacqueline La Duca of Bolton, Conn., and four grandchildren.
Seng Thy
BIDDEFORD - Seng Thy, 72, of Wentworth Street, died Tuesday (listed Thursday, January 22, 1998) at Southern Maine Medical Center.
He was born March 8, 1925, in Cambodia, a son of Van Chheang and Van Thov Thy, and was educated in Cambodia.
Before coming to the Biddeford area in 1984, Mr. Thy worked as a farmer.
He was predeceased by his wife, Phin Nov, in 1986.
Survivors include four sons, Chheang of Revere, Mass., Chhoeun, Mean and Chhun, all of Biddeford; three daughters, Boyana Hem of Kingfield, Chhoy Ouch and Sim Pop, both of Biddeford; two brothers, Vanku and Vanpo, both of Cambodia; three sisters, Nem Huy of Biddeford, Chhin of Portland and Vanjok of Cambodia, and 12 grandchildren.
Joseph Ruest Jr.
KENNEBUNK - Joseph A. Ruest Jr., 77, of Sea Road, died Tuesday (listed Thursday, January 22, 1998) at Kennebunk Nursing Center.
He was born Jan. 28, 1920, in Salem, Mass., a son of Joseph A. Sr. and Mary Devine Ruest. When he was an infant his mother died and he was raised by her friends, Frederic and Lydia Rivard of Salem. He graduated in 1937 from Salem High School.
During World War II he served in the Marine Corps and was wounded in action.
In 1951 Mr. Ruest moved to Maine and was employed for 34 years by pharmaceutical companies, including McNeil Laboratories and Johnson & Johnson. He received many sales awards, became an executive professional and after retiring in 1985 continued in the pharmaceutical field as a consultant.
He enjoyed sports, including tennis and skiing, and especially golf. He was a member of the Webhannet Golf Club at Kennebunk Beach, where he served on many committees, and won several tournaments, including the New England, Maine State and Southern Maine seniors, and had been working on a tournament to benefit the Maine Center for the Visually Impaired.
He enjoyed making his own golf clubs and experimenting with them, and painting, especially in watercolors.
Mr. Ruest was an active member of the Kennebunk Rotary Club, a past club president and a Paul Harris Fellow recipient. In the 1960s he served as a Planning Board member and belonged to the late Hartley Lord's Marching and Chowder Society.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Natalie H. Edmunds Thrasher Ruest; a son, Mark N. of Wildomar, Calif., and two grandchildren.
Richard Porell
SANFORD - Richard D. Porell, 55, of Amherst, N.H., died Monday (listed Thursday, January 22, 1998) at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
He was born Aug. 4, 1942, in Sanford, a son of Roland and Geraldine Dunham Porell. He was educated in Maine schools, graduated in 1963 from Franklin Institute in Boston, and in 1966 from Boston University School of Engineering.
For the past 26 years he lived in Amherst.
On Jan. 21, 1967, he married Carol A. Creaser, and they would have celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary Wednesday.
For 20 years Mr. Porell was employed at Sanders-Lockheed Martin Company as a principal industrial engineer.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing.
He was predeceased by a son, Stephen D. Porell, in 1989.
Survivors include his wife of Amherst; two sisters, Sharon Tolley of Denison, Texas, Donna Seebirt of Ojai, Calif., and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
