After their marriage, she, as a result of her husband’s many corporate transfers, lived in many parts of the country. However, she often said that her happiest years were the last 14 when she and her husband moved to Kennebunk. She particularly enjoyed the quality of life that Kennebunk and Maine provided as well as the friendliness of those with whom she became acquainted.

Her association with this organization provided her with the utmost satisfaction and joy. She was also an active and respected member of the Women Coastal Investment Group and a volunteer worker for the annual “Mary’s Walk” event, which raises funds for the Maine Cancer Foundation. She was also a past member of the Evergreen Quilting Group as well as having had performed volunteer assignments for the Brick Store Museum and York County United Way.

She is survived by her mother, Mildred Vivian Logan of Logansport, Ind., to whom she was devoted; her husband Mel; one daughter, Anne of Kennebunk; one son, David of Westford, Mass.; and one niece, Ginger Lynn Luzio, Pickerington, Ohio. Also, she had always remembered with fondness and affection, her loving foster parents, Locy and John Tawney, now deceased.
