Marie Leona O'Clair

2003

AUGUSTA — Marie Leona O'Clair died Sept. 19, 2003, in Augusta.

Inadvertently omitted from the obituary was a deceased brother, Robert Cote.

In addition to the surviving relatives listed in the obituary, there are nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one great-great-grandchild.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Rev. Richard St. Cyr, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery.

Arrangements by Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta.

Geraldine F. Pushard

1934-2003

PITTSTON — Geraldine F. Pushard, 69, of Route 26 in Pittston, was born in Randolph on Feb. 7, 1934, a daughter of Merle A. and Margaret Storay Ware.

She passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Her husband, George Pushard, predeceased her on June 13, 2003. Geraldine enjoyed traveling to lawn sales with her husband and being around young people.

Her son, Mark Pushard of Pittston, and her granddaughter, Erin Pushard of Pittston, whom she raised, and several nieces, nephews and cousins survive her.

Visiting hours will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner, where an 11 a.m. funeral service will be held Friday. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Extension Cemetery, Randolph, beside her husband.

Ella G. Messeder

NEW VINEYARD — Ella G. Messeder, 82, died at her New Vineyard home Friday, Aug. 4, 2000, following a long illness.

Mrs. Messeder was born Oct. 31, 1917, in Bristol, Conn., the eldest of three children of Catherine and Kenneth Stiles, both deceased, of Watertown, Mass. She graduated a member of Watertown High School class of 1936.

In 1946 she married John A. Messeder Sr., then of New York City.

Following his retirement from the New York Police Department in 1958, the couple and their children became residents of New Vineyard, where they built their home on Porter Lake. Mr. Messeder died in 1971.

For 25 years she worked as an in-home tutor with Franklin Adult Basic Education, helping many county adults achieve literacy and earn GEDs.

She was a two-term Past Worthy Matron of Oppalunski Chapter 125 Order of Eastern Star, and past president of the Star Club. She was a past president of the New Vineyard Public Library Board of Directors, past president of the New Vineyard Republican Committee, and a member of the Franklin County Republican Committee.

She attended St. Joseph's Catholic Parish, in Farmington.

Mrs. Messeder enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, outdoor sports, and instilled in all her children the love of books and travel.

Her brother, Ernest "Buddy", died in 1947.

Her sister Marion, of Greenfield, Mass., survives her. She is also survived by her sons, John Alan Jr., of Gettysburg, Pa., and Richard, of New Vineyard; her daughters, Lois, of Gloucester, Va., and Lillian Lake, and her husband, Mark, of Wilton; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

At the request of the family, there will be no visitation hours.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Middle St., Farmington, with Fr. Roger Chabot celebrant. Interment will be in Village Cemetery, in Strong.

Mrs. Messeder, who lived with diabetes for more than 35 years, has asked that those wishing to, make monetary donations in her memory to Androscoggin Home Care Hospice, Route 2, Wilton 04249, and acts of kindness be practiced randomly among her friends and neighbors.

Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, 108 Court St., Farmington.

Timothy A. Morin

GILBERT, Ariz. — Timothy Allen Morin, 51, of Gilbert, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2000, at Chandler.

"Tim" was born Nov. 21, 1948, in Waterville, Maine. He graduated from Waterville High School and attended Seattle University on a golf scholarship.

In the spring of 1967 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a radioman, and went on to become a Navy career counselor and recruiter. He retired Feb. 1, 1989, as a senior chief petty officer.

Tim was an avid golfer, getting his inspiration from Jack Nicklaus. His friendly manner and his positive attitude earned him many friends. He formed the successful Sunbird Bandits League, attended Mundus Institute for golf management, and was valedictorian at San Diego Golf Academy, where he obtained an associate degree. He was currently working toward his PGA.

He is survived by his spouse, Fulljahan; sons, Kamal and Shawn; parents, Bettina and Bernard; brothers, Peter and David; sister, Kim; three grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.

A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, in the chapel at St. Timothy's, Mesa.

Arrangements are by Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 South Dobson Road, Mesa.

Doruis Beaulieu

WATERVILLE — Doruis "Joe" Beaulieu, 71, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, May 6, 2000, at his Edgemont Avenue residence in Waterville.

He was born April 29, 1929, in Wallagrass, son of Clovis and Ozilda (Pelletier) Beaulieu of Fort Kent. He received his schooling in Fort Kent St. Louis School, then moved to Winslow in 1942 and attended Waterville night school.

He married his first wife, Lorraine G. Putnam, daughter of Ronaldo and Viola (Peters) Putnam of West Peru, in 1949 in Rumford.

He was employed at the Rumford and Oxford Paper Mills. He was employed by the Waterville Police Department from 1951 to 1959 and retired from Keyes Fibre Co. in 1990 after working there from 1960 until retirement.

His hobby was repairing small engines and he enjoyed making wooden crafts, fishing and hunting. He was a fourth degree member of the Waterville Council Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife, Viola McAskill Beaulieu, of Waterville; four sons, Jeffery Beaulieu, of Vassalboro, Stephen and Allen Beaulieu, both of Waterville, and John Beaulieu, of Pennsylvania; daughter, Lana Ann Parkis, of Indiana; stepson, Richard Harmon Jr., of Belgrade; three stepdaughters, Terri Burrows, Roseanne Bolduc and Sharon Clowes, all of Waterville; five sisters, Onilda, Gloria and Nora Ouellette, Theresa Bowin and Ivan Beaulieu, all of Connecticut; three brothers, Richard Beaulieu, of Pittsfield, Roger and Gordon Beaulieu, both of Connecticut; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 8, at the Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 70 Pleasant St., Waterville. Committal prayers and burial will follow at the St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Grove Street, Waterville.

Dolores J. (Bulger) Brown

WILMINGTON, Mass. — Dolores J. (Bulger) Brown, 69, of Wilmington, formerly of Hudson, Ohio, died Friday, May 5, 2000, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, Mass.

Dolores was born in Waterville, Maine, daughter of the late Lawrence E. and the late Nina (Kanovich) Bulger.

She had lived in Hudson, Ohio, for many years prior to moving to Wilmington 13 years ago.

She was was employed as an administrative assistant for the dean emeritus of Harvard Medical School in Cambridge for the last 15 years. She was the president of the Wilmington Garden Club and a member of St. Thomas of Villanova Church.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Ormonde Brown; her children, Marcia Arndt, of Bedford, N.H., and Vance Brown, M.D., of Hudson, Ohio; and her grandchildren, Erin Karper, of West Lafayette, Ind., Paul, Daniel and Michael Karper, all of Cazenovia, N.Y., and Carson Brown, of Hudson, Ohio.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, at the W.S. Cavanaugh & Son Funeral Home, 374 Main St. (Route 38), Wilmington.

A Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, at St. Charles Church, Main Street, Woburn, Mass.

Memorials in her name may be made to the Wilmington Garden Club Scholarship Fund, PO Box 712, Wilmington MA 01887.

Martha M. Razoyk

WATERVILLE — Martha Mary Razoyk, 76, died Friday, May 26, 2000, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, in Waterville.

She was born Aug. 16, 1923, in North Vassalboro, the daughter of Ammen and Mary Razoyk. Martha attended school in North Vassalboro, and graduated from Winslow High School, class of 1942.

She worked in the office of American Woolen Mill, in North Vassalboro, and also had worked at several financial institutions in the Waterville area until her retirement in 1988 from Maine Savings Bank.

Her mother died when she was 2 years old. She lived with her father and cared for him until he passed away at age 92. She moved to Waterville several years later.

Martha was a member of Firemen's Women's Auxiliary, in North Vassalboro, North Vassalboro Friendly Club, and American Legion Auxiliary.

She cherished all of her many friends and relatives, and was deeply appreciative of the exceptional help and kindness she received from several of her very dear friends.

Martha will also be very sadly missed by her dear cousins. She will be remembered not only for her friendliness, but for her generosity and kindness to her friends and family.

She is survived by her niece, Sandra Wellens, and family, of Massachusetts; her nephew, George E. Razoyk, and family, of Massachusetts; Jane Hernandez, and family, of San Diego, Calif.; her sister-in-law, Vera Razoyk, of La Mesa, Calif; her cousins, Thomas Maroon, and family, of Winslow, Michael Maroon, and family, of Portland, Mary Hawes, and family, of Augusta, Peter Joseph, and family, of Waterville, and Roy Joseph, and family, of Waterville.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 1, at St. Joseph Maronite Catholic Church, Front Street, Waterville.

Committal prayers will be recited at church, and burial will take place later, in Village Cemetery, in North Vassalboro.
