KENNEBUNK – Sarah Seavey Bryant, 84, died on April 29, 2003 at the Barron Center in Portland.

She was born on May 1, 1918, in Kennebunkport, a daughter of Albert W. and Fannie E. Seavey. She attended Kennebunkport schools and was a 1937 graduate of Kennebunkport High School. She also graduated from Shaw’s Business School in Portland.

Mrs. Bryant was employed as a secretary at Mercy Hospital in Portland. As a legal secretary for Attorney Reagan of Kennebunk. A secretary to the superintendant of schools for SAD 71 of Kennebunk, and also worked for George Mitchell in Portland for several years.

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cross-stitching, knitting and crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Kennebunk and belonged to the First Church of Christ Scientist, Mother Church in Boston, Mass.

She is predeceased by four brothers, Wilbur, Richard, Paul and Albert Seavey; and two sisters, Alberta Shaner and Lillian Stearns.

Mrs. Bryant is survived by two sons, Calvin Bryant of Cape Porpoise, and Russell Bryant of Woodbridge, VA; two daughters Judith Black of Pomfret, CT, and Alice Doyle of Middleburgh, NY; five sisters, Frances Derham of Westbrook, Mary Bridges of Westbrook, Eleanor LaFerriere of NJ, Elizabeth Derham of Westbrook, and Cynthia Bonsey of Lisbon Falls; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, May 2, 2003 at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk. Burial will be in Arundel Cemetery, Kennebunkport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Kennebunk Health and Home Care Services, P.O. Box 739, Kennebunk, ME 04043.

Timothy Edward Cyr

Arundel- Timothy E. Cyr, 48 years, of RoseTerrace Circle died unexpectedly at his home on April 3, 2005.

Timothy was born in Biddeford on July 21, 1956, the son of James E. and Naomi A. Cyr. He attended Kennebunk schools and was an avid reader into adulthood.

As a boy, Tim held summer jobs working on local farms where he gained a knowledge of vegetable gardening. As a young man, he held jobs at Keuffel & Esser Company in Kennebunk and Kennebunk IGA store. Through the years he also held jobs in plumbing, masonry, and drywalling. He was a master craftsman at all of these occupations.

Timothy’s many other interests included hunting, fishing, taxidermy, and music. He was very skilled in these hobbies and sports and was a talented musician. He enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, and wrote many songs. Tim was also an excellent cook who knew his way around the kitchen. Tim was also a member of The Arundel Eagles Club for several years.

Tim is predeceased by his mother, who died in May, 1982 and his father who died in March of this year.

Surviving are his sisters Julia and her husband Larry Theriault of Wells and Lisa and her husband Richard Ryan of Biddeford and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 5-8 pm on Friday, April 8 at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 9 at the chapel at 1 pm with Reverend Carolyn Lambert officiating.

Victor M. Bragg

Victor M. Bragg, Harley Rider, 49 years a resident of Rochester, NH died Sunday August 8, 2004 at the Wentworth-Douglas Hospital in Dover after a long illness.

Victor was born in Augusta, Maine on February 2, 1955 a son of Gordon S and Joan R (Bitting) Bragg and graduated from Monmouth Academy the class of 1973.

He was employed by the Ralston Purina Co of Missouri as Special Account Manager for over 20 yrs.

Victor was a member of the Club Victorie of Rochester, H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) of United States of America, also member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie # 1887 of Somersworth, NH.

Victor loved to Scuba Dive and ride his Harley Davidson.

He is survived by his wife Stephanie (Caswell) Bragg of Rochester, NH, his parents of Monmouth, Maine, two daughters Jamie Jones of Caribou, Me and Shana Bragg of Augusta, ME., a brother Stephen Bragg of California City, CA., a sister Joan Desmond of Monmouth, Me and four Grandchildren, Calah, Kyle, Ezra and Emma, and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held from 5 to 8 Pm Thursday August 12, at the Laing-Bibber Funeral Chapel 36 Rochester Street, Berwick, ME where a funeral service will be held Friday August 13, at 3PM. at the Chapel with the Reverend Bruce Brown officiating.

Feel Free to “RIDE” to service to Celebrate Vic’s Life.

Funeral Service will be held 2 PM Saturday August 14, at the United Church of Monmouth Main Street, Monmouth, ME with the Reverend Russell Chase and Reverend Ron Moody officiating.

Burial will be in East Monmouth Cemetery.

Should friends desire memorial donations may be made to the Brain Injury Association of NH 109 North Street, Concord, NH 03301 in Mr. Bragg’s memory.

William M. Lindh, III

William Milton Lindh, III

Wells – William Milton Lindh, III age 61 of Loop Road, died Sunday, August 15, 2004 at Goodall Hospital in Sanford.

He was born in Manchester, N.H. on September 16, 1942, a son of William M. and Etta M. Coulom Lindh, II.

He graduated from East Hartford High School and also from the University of Connecticut with an Associate Degree.

Mr. Lindh worked for Pratt & Whitney in Connecticut and Berwick for 42 years.

He was a member of the Elks, he enjoyed horseracing, boating and sports. William also coached Little League Baseball and Pop Warner Football.

He is predeceased by his wife, Candace R. Newsom who died in 1978.

He is survived by a son, Roy Lindh of Wells: a brother, Raymond of Albany, NY; two sisters, Dorothy Dubois of Weare, NH and Karen Boettcher of Palm Springs, CA; a step son, Guy Newsom of Somers, CT and a step daughter, Tammy French; five step grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 2-4 & 6-8PM Thursday at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 111 Chapel Road in Wells.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30AM Friday, at St. Mary’s Church in Wells.

Burial will follow at Ocean View Cemetery, Wells. If desired, donations can be made to the Maine Cancer Research and Education, PO Box 553, Portland, ME 04102, or to the American heart Assoc., 343 Gorham road, South Portland, ME 04106.

Anita E. Normand 64 years a resident of Jim Grant Road Lebanon, ME died Saturday, February 26, 2005 at the Frisbee Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NH after a long illness.

She was born in Sanford, Me on March 24, 1940, a daughter of Arthur J. and Ledeenne Contois Bourre.

Anita was predeceased by her son, Gerald A. Normand and her father.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years Donald M. Normand of Lebanon, ME. her mother of Sanford , a son Anthony M. Normand of Warren, ME , two daughters Nancy Gray of Berwick and Michelle R. Holmquist of Brockton, MA , three sisters Rollande Brochu of Sanford, ME, Rita Loshbaugh of Hudson, NH and Lorraine Sullivan of Sanford, ME. Three grandchildren; Amanda M. Brown of Berwick, ME, Jacob A. Cofferen of Brockton, MA and Ren M. Hassen of Berwick, ME..

Funeral services will be private at the request of the family. Spring Interment will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Sanford, Maine.

Should friends desire, memorial donation to the American Heart Association, 343 Gorham Road, South Portland, ME or to the Kidney Foundation of Maine P.O. Box 1134, Portland, ME 04104 in Mrs. Normand ‘s memory.

Carl M. Munson

Carl Marshall Munson, 64 of Harrison, Maine died on Tuesday February 1, 2005 at Maine Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Providence, Rhode Island on July 15, 1940 the son of Alice (Sugden) Munson and Carl Raymond Munson. He was a graduate of Union College in Schenectady, New York.

Marshall married his wife, Judith Turner Munson, on August 25, 1962. They resided for many years in his hometown of Johnston, Rhode Island. In 1982 they moved to Groton, Massachusetts where he worked as an Electrical Engineer for Raytheon in Lowell and Andover for over 20 years. He had recently retired and moved to Harrison to be close to family.

Marshall was a member of Beneficent Congregational Church in Providence for over 50 years. While living in Rhode Island, he was involved in many aspects of the Church, serving as treasurer, singing in the Choir and as secretary of the Beneficent Society.

While living in Groton, Marshall pursued his love of singing, performing with the Nashoba Valley Chorale, the Groton-Littleton Theater and the Groton Community Christmas Concert.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Judith Turner Munson of Harrison; his daughter Deborah Munson Feagans and her husband William of Raymond; and by his five month old twin grandchildren, Carl William Feagans and Emily Sara Feagans of Raymond. He is also survived by his niece, Sara Rundlett Slater and her husband Paul; his nephew, Christopher Rundlett; and his great-niece, Sophie Slater, all of Kennebunk.

There will be a Memorial Service at Beneficent Congregational Church on Sunday, February 6, 2005 at 2:00 pm. A burial service will be held at Hope cemetery in Kennebunk, Maine in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marshall’s memory to Beneficent Church, 300 Weybosset St, Providence, RI 02903, for their Memorial Fund

Cecelia Gray Ives

Cecelia Gray Ives, age 95, formerly of Kennebunkport, died Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at St. Andre’s Health Care in Biddeford.

She was born in Elizabeth, NJ on September 16, 1909, a daughter of John Lathrop and Harriet Tyng Gray, Sr.

Cecelia moved to Greenwich, Connecticut when she was 10 years old.

She married Edward C. Ives and he died in 1987.

She was a homemaker most of her life and was an active volunteer for the American Red Cross during WWII and also the United Way of Greenwich.

Besides her husband, she is predeceased by a her son, Eli Terry Ives who died in 1996, a brother John L. Gray, Jr., two sisters, Penelope Royal Conderman and Mathilde Gray Frost.

She is survived by her daughter, Candee Weed of Greenwich, CT; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

There will be private family services in the spring.

Charles A. Harmon

Charles A. Harmon, Jr., age 85 of Kennebunkport, died suddenly on Sunday, January 16, 2005 at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford.

He was born May 5, 1919 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of Charles A. and Marie D. Harmon, Sr.

He grew up in Albany, NY graduating from Albany High School in 1936, and Albany Business School in 1938.

He was an accountant for Libby, McNeil & Libby in Albany, NY and Hartford, CT from 1939-1942. Before being drafted into the Army in 1942, he was a Revenue Agent for the IRS in Hartford. After being discharged in June 1946, he returned to his job at the IRS in Hartford. In 1949 he transferred to the Intelligence Division, which is now Criminal Investigation, as a Special Agent and became Group Manager in July 1964. He was promoted to Chief, Intelligence Division, IRS, in Providence, RI in March 1968 and then in Boston, Mass. in August 1972, retiring after 35 years in February 1977.

In 1947, he joined the CT National Guard. As part of the 43rd Infantry Division, the Ct. National Guard was activated for the Korean War, serving in Germany from September of 1950 to August of 1952. He retired from the Guard in 1970 as a Lt. Colonel.

He was a life member of the Military Officers Association of America, and its Southern Maine Chapter, and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. In Kennebunkport, he was Budget Board Chairman in 1981. He was also on the Board of Directors for the Atlantic Hall in Cape Porpoise.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Eileen T. Harmon in 1973, and a brother, Donald E. Harmon of Delmar, NY in 1999.

He leaves his wife of 28 years, Marcia Symmes Harmon; three stepdaughters known as “Charlie’s Angels”, and their husbands, Susan and Greg Elliott of Plaistow, NH, Elizabeth “Libby” and Tom Clark of Kittery, ME, and Lorna “Lori” and Donald Bryant of Kennebunkport, ME. He was a loved and devoted grandfather of Allison Elliott, Jillian Clark, Stephanie, Jennifer, Rose, and Donald Bryant, III. He also leaves his two nephews, Gregg Harmon of Red Bluff, CA and Glenn Harmon of Oak Park, Ill.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30a.m. Friday, January 21, 2004 at the Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk, with Rev. William Clark officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust, PO Box 7028, Cape Porpoise, ME 04014, or to the Graves Library, Main Street, PO Box 391, Kennebunkport, ME 04046.

Charles Albert Johnson

Charles “AJ” Johnson, age 62 of Little River Road, Berwick, died Monday, February 21, 2005 in Berwick.

He was born on March 7, 1942, the son of Harold and Olive Evans Johnson.

He attended Berwick schools and had worked for Jerry Lessard Contracting and Steve Brown, both of Berwick.

“AJ” enjoyed doing stained glass and cabinet work.

He is predeceased by a sister, Marjorie Tavaner of England.

Surviving are three aunts, Angel Robison of Arizona, Pearl DeMarett of Sanford, and Irmalee Sheldon of Berwick; a cousin. Roland Evans of Farmington, NH; and several other cousins.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Donations can be made in his memory to the Berwick Fire and Rescue, 10 School Street, Berwick, ME 03901.
