Kathyrn "Betty" Elizabeth Jylkka

OAK POINT, TRENTON - Kathyrn "Betty" Elizabeth Jylkka, 81, died Nov. 12, 1999, at an Ellsworth hospital. She was born Nov. 14, 1917, in Franklin, Pa.

Betty retired from the federal government as a staff assistant after working for many years. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed playing Scrabble. Betty was a great friend to many people.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Edward Jylkka of Oak Point, Trenton; a sister, Louise Clements and her husband, Donald, of Camp Hill, Pa.; two nieces and a nephew. Betty was predeceased by a brother, Paul "Jack" Stetler.

A service of remembrance was held Nov. 16, 1999, at Sidney Linscott’s residence, neighbor of Ed and Betty, Oak Point, Trenton, with the Rev. Dr. Oscar Remick officiating. Contributions may be made in Betty’s memory to Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, care of Development Office, 50 Union St., Ellsworth 04605. Arrangements by Jordan Funeral Home, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth.

Doris L. Carter

SOUTHWEST HARBOR - Doris L. Carter, 74, wife of the late Lawrence E. Carter Sr., died Nov. 20, 1999, at an Ellsworth hospital. She was born in Derry, N.H., Aug. 1, 1925, the daughter of Alphonse and Florida (Laporte) Levesque.

Doris was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking at Ridge Apartments, where she lived. She worked in several sardine factories and also at the Seawall Dining Room in Seawall. She was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in West Tremont.

Doris is survived by three sons, Lawrence Carter Jr., of Sun City, Calif., Clyde Carter of Bass Harbor, and Steven Carter of Seal Cove; five daughters, Priscilla Hunt of Holiday, Fla., Dorothy Closson of Jonesport, Marion Herrick of Bass Harbor, Sheila Ward of Sullivan and Carol Hamblem of Southwest Harbor; two sisters, Rita Marquis of Nashua, N.H., and Clare Rakey of Manchester, N.H.; 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; and a good friend, Harry Beers.

A graveside service was held Nov. 23, 1999, at Mt. Height Cemetery, Southwest Harbor, with Pastor Bob Knights officiating. If friends desire, they may make contributions to the Southwest Harbor/Tremont Ambulance Service, Southwest Harbor 04679; or the Cornerstone Baptist Church, Box 356, Bass Harbor 04653. Arrangements by Fernald Funeral Chapel, Mount Desert.

Heidi Lynn Beal

BANGOR and TRENTON - Heidi Lynn Beal, 27, died Oct. 28, 1999, at her residence. She was born April 18, 1972, in Ellsworth.

She is survived by her parents, Nanette F. (Snow) Beal of Trenton, Donald F. Beal Sr. of Franklin, and Larry Burgess of Mesa, Ariz.; a brother, Donnie Beal of Portland, Ore.; aunts, Kitty Peasley, Lucy Astbury, Joan Smith, and Barbara Edmonds; uncles, Michael, Timothy, Brian, and Jeffrey Snow, Melrose, David, and Clarence Beal; great-aunts, Judy Goodwin and Ruth Snow; and many cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her grandmother and grandfather, Millie and Fred Snow.

Heidi loved her animals. When she held Ashley, her miniature dachshund, it took away all the problems of the world and gave her much comfort and joy. Heidi also had a beloved cat, India. She loved being with children and enjoyed time with her cousins. Heidi made friends easily and was very kindhearted.

A funeral service was held Nov. 2, 1999, at the Southwest Harbor Congregational Church, with the Rev. Richard Carter officiating. Contributions in Heidi’s memory may be made to the SPCA, c/o Beth Gray, P.O. Box 434, Southwest Harbor, ME 04679. Arrangements by Fernald Funeral Chapel, Mount Desert.

Martin H. Wood

ELLSWORTH - Martin H. Wood, 84, died Nov. 5, 1999, at an Ellsworth health-care facility. He was born April 22, 1915, in Ellsworth, the son of James H. and Virgelia (Jordan) Wood.

Martin loved to hunt, fish and play golf. He also enjoyed eating and walking the beaches in Florida. He worked for Bangor Hydro-Electric Co. for 35 years. He was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Martin is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Jeanette (Linnehan) Wood of Ellsworth; one son, Stephen and his wife, Jean Wood, of Ellsworth; one daughter, Joanne and her husband, Clifford Cain, of Holden; two sisters, Ruth Linscott of Ellsworth and Inez and her husband, Lonnie Collier, of Trenton; five grandchildren, Jonathan and Matthew Wood and Chris, Zachary and Jessica Cain; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service was held Nov. 8, 1999, at Jordan Funeral Home, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, with the Rev. Barry Blackstone officiating. Interment was in Woodbine Cemetery, Ellsworth. The family suggests that friends who wish may make donations in Marty’s memory to the Emmanuel Baptist Church, piano fund, in care of Hollis Fickett, 50 School St., Ellsworth 04605.

Francis "Hunky" Hunt

FRANKLIN - Francis "Hunky" Hunt, 79, died Nov. 13, 1999, at the Maine Coast Memorial Hospital after a yearlong battle with cancer. He was born in Dedham, Mass., March 13, 1920, the son of Elmer L. and Ellen J. (McGee) Hunt.

Francis graduated from Proctor Academy Prep School, Andover, N.H. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the European theater. Francis retired in 1985 from the State Liquor Commission and worked part-time summers. He was an avid golfer and crossword fan. He also enjoyed canoeing and watching loons and hummingbirds at their Webb Pond camp. He enjoyed many bus tours and the Woody Woodman Band. He was very involved in his local community with the volunteer fire department as chief, as a town selectman and with the Franklin Veteran’s Club.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret "Peggy" Hunt of Franklin; one son, Thomas E. Hunt and his wife, Ellen, of Boscawen, N.H.; three stepdaughters, Helen Lymburner and her husband, Delmont, of Waltham, Rachel Crawford and her husband, George, of Lamoine and Katherine Voisine and her husband, Carroll, of Fort Kent; two sisters, Mrs. Frederick Haley Jr. of Falmouth and Mrs. Richard Fortune of Rhode Island; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Pauline R. Bragdon; one brother, Edward E. Hunt; one grandson, James Welch.

A funeral service was held Nov. 17, 1999, at the Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 215 Main St., Ellsworth. A graveside service was held in the family lot, Bayview Cemetery, Franklin. A reception for the family followed at the Franklin Veteran’s Club. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Franklin Veteran’s Club Memorial Fund.

Kenneth "Hap" R. Abbott

BAR HARBOR - Kenneth "Hap" R. Abbott, 71, died Nov. 17, 1999, at MDI Hospital. He was born March 15, 1928, in Bar Harbor, the son of Alvah L. and Laura (Bracy) Abbott.

Hap was a loving, caring son, husband and father. He loved hunting, fishing and golf. He was a longtime member of the Kebo Golf Club. Hap worked for Bangor Hydro-Electric for 41 years. He was a member of the St. Saviour’s Episcopal Church of Bar Harbor, a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army Signal Corps and he was a member of the VFW Post 109 in Ellsworth. He also was a member of the Northeast Harbor Masonic Lodge No. 208, Blanquefort Commandery and Anah Temple Shrine.

Hap is survived by his mother, Laura Abbott, and his beloved wife of 47 years, Lola (Dyer) Abbott, both of Bar Harbor; three sons, Vincent S. Abbott and wife, Martha, of Bar Harbor, Kenneth R. Abbott Jr. and wife, Charyl, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Alvah D. Abbott of Newington, Conn.; four grandchildren, Vincent A. Abbott of Otter Creek, Brodie and Michaela Abbott of St. Andrews, New Brunswick, and Sara Smith of Bangor; several cousins and two special friends, Weston Willis and Brad Gray.

A funeral service was held Nov. 20, 1999, at Fernald Funeral Chapel, Mount Desert, with the Rev. Edwin Garrett III officiating. The family suggests that if friends desire they may make contributions to Anah Temple, c/o Burn Institute, Box 735, Bangor, ME 04401.

Reverdy Maxine (Overbey) Koenig

BLUE HILL - Reverdy Maxine (Overbey) Koenig, died Nov. 4, 1999, at the Island Nursing Home after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in Billings, Okla., in 1918. Her parents, William and Mollie Overbey, are long since deceased.

She was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps in 1943, after completion of her nursing training at Grace Hospital, Hutchinson, Kan. After World War II service in Europe and the Far East, she was assigned to Sandia Base, Albuquerque, N.M., where she met William Koenig, then a captain in the U.S. Army. They were married in March of 1950. She accompanied her husband throughout his military career. After his retirement in 1974, they made their home in Brooklin. During the 1970s and early 1980s, she worked as a registered nurse at the Blue Hill Memorial Hospital, where she is well-remembered by the staff. She was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church in Blue Hill.

In addition to her husband, who now lives at Parker Ridge in Blue Hill, she is survived by sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Shirley) Shriner of Valaparaiso, Fla., and brothers, John and Kenneth, both of Wichita, Kan.

A service of remembrance was held Nov. 8, 1999, at Healey Funeral Home, South Street, Blue Hill, with the Rev. Rob McCall officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Island Nursing Home, P.O. Box 124, Deer Isle 04627.

Alta L. (Myrick) Gerrish

WINTER HARBOR - Alta L. (Myrick) Gerrish, 85, died Nov. 12, 1999, at an MDI hospital. She was born July 27, 1914, the daughter of Harvey and Lola (Hancock) Myrick.

Alta graduated from Winter Harbor High School, Class of 1931, and Eastern State Normal School, Class of 1933, where she received her teaching certificate. Together with her husband, Earl, she operated Schoodic Cabins and Hillside Laundromat in Winter Harbor and the Norge Village in Ellsworth for many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara L. and husband, James Wade Lilly, of Newburgh; one son, Richard E. Gerrish of Winter Harbor and his special friend, Patricia Zebulske of Stetson; two granddaughters, Cathy J. Carruthers and her daughter, Laura, of Woodbridge, Va., and Susan L. Campbell and her husband, Wayne, of Hampton, Va.; two grandsons, Brian P. Gerrish and his wife, Vicki, and their sons, Ryan and Gabe, of Birch Harbor and Wesley D. Gerrish and his fiancée, Sarah Bagley, of Attleboro, Mass.; one sister, Ruth O’Keefe and her husband, John, of East Hartford, Conn.; a sister-in-law, Rossetta Myrick of Labelle, Fla.; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl M. Gerrish, in 1971 and by a brother, Arland Myrick.

A funeral service was held Nov. 15, 1999, at the Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Main Street, Milbridge, with the Rev. William Renwick officiating. Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery, Winter Harbor. Memorial contributions may be made to the Winter Harbor Fire Dept., Winter Harbor 04693 or to a charity of one’s choice.

Robert E. Williams Sr.

ELLSWORTH - Robert E. Williams Sr., 66, loving husband, father and Papa, died Oct. 4, 1999, at his residence after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Oct. 29, 1932, in Sullivan, the son of Harold C. and Ellen M. (Havey) Williams.

Bob served in the U.S. Army for 11 years, serving twice in Korea and a tour in France, receiving numerous medals. He was also an Ellsworth police officer for five years and sheriff of Hancock County from 1975-1978. From there, he drove tractor-trailer until his retirement. He was a proud member of Lygonia Lodge No. 40 AF & AM of Ellsworth, Anah Temple Shrine and a lifetime member of the Anah Temple NASCARs Unit.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Brenda (Thomas) Williams; two daughters, Colleen Cameron and her husband, Wayne, of Ellsworth, Annette Macko and her husband, Tom, of Otis; two sons, Robert Williams Jr. and his wife, Amanda, of Bass Harbor and Roger Williams and Danielle Vance of Sullivan; six grandchildren, Joshua, Seth and Blake Macko, Cassie and Derek Williams and Caleb Cameron; two brothers, Montgomery of Ellsworth and Chandler and his wife, Betty, of Winter Harbor; one sister, Lois Young of Gouldsboro; a special niece and nephew, Pat and Archie Plette; and two very special friends, Charlie and Marsha Scott. He was predeceased by a son, Eddie K. Williams, in 1994.

A service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, 1999, at Jordan Funeral Home, Ellsworth, with Pastor Monica Giordano officiating. Interment will be in Blaisdell Cemetery, Sullivan. In lieu of flowers, friends may send donations to the Shriner's Hospital, care of Anah Temple, P.O. Box 735, Bangor 04401, in Bob's memory.

Peter Barris

ELLSWORTH - Peter Barris passed away Oct. 5, 1999, at the Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth. He had spent his remaining days in the peaceful care of his daughter, Shara, and her family in Ellsworth.

Peter was born on Feb. 23, 1924, to Thomas T. Barris and Ruby Kieomenis in Tulsa, Okla. A little more than a year later, his parents moved him and his four brothers and sisters to Wichita, Kan. Peter graduated from Wichita High School East in 1942.

Peter Barris served in the United States Army Air Forces in World War II and the Korean War. Five battle campaigns earned him five battle stars, including the Silver Star Theater Award. After the wars, he graduated from Portland Junior College, which became the University of Southern Maine, in 1949. Following his return to Wichita, Peter attended Kansas University and New Mexico State. Peter Barris married Louise Jane Wiers in 1953. He was employed with the Wichita Post Office for eight years before he transferred to the Portland offices in 1960 and soon became the data systems management officer. Peter retired from the United States Post Office in 1987 after 39 years of service. Many years later, he and his wife created "Say it with Chocolate." He enjoyed traveling to area businesses all around New England to distribute the fine chocolate products. Peter most recently worked part-time at the Global Air Security Co.

He is survived by his brother, Theodore Barris, and his sisters, Tonia Jett and Dena Barris; his children, Valerie and Marc Barris, and Shara Dyndiuk; and grandchildren, Sheila, Nathaniel and Jennifer Sheedy.

A service was held Oct. 9, 1999, at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 1047 Congress St., Portland, with Pastor John Welsh officiating.

Derwood Dean Urquhart

COREA - Derwood Dean Urquhart, 52, died Thursday, Oct. 14, 1999, at an Ellsworth hospital after a long illness. He was born Jan. 31, 1947, at Corea, the son of Howard J. and Eleanor B. (Scofield) Urquhart. He worked for the state highway department for 29 years, starting right from college.

He is survived by his parents of Corea; one brother, Duane J. and his wife, Marianne, of Corea; two nephews, Christopher and Andrew, and a niece, Andrea.

A funeral service was held Oct. 16, 1999, at the Corea Baptist Church, Corea, with the Rev. Dr. Clayton Fulton officiating. Arrangements by Jordan Funeral Home, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth.

Richard Linus Morrison

BAR HARBOR - Richard Linus Morrison, 61, died Oct. 20, 1999, at MDI Hospital. He was born Nov. 5, 1937, in Machias, the son of Linus and Dorothy (Bohan) Morrison.

Richard was a graduate of Bar Harbor High School. He was a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish of Bar Harbor and the Knights of Columbus. He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps as a photographer. He worked at the Maine State Library in Augusta for several years before retiring because of ill health. Richard loved nature and wildlife and after having a heart transplant 10 years ago, he was able to enjoy hiking the trails of Acadia and he knew all the trails, wildlife and trees surrounding Acadia. Richard kept up his hobby of photography and he also enjoyed drawing and painting.

He is survived by his brother, David Morrison and wife, Patricia, of Bar Harbor; two nieces, Michelle of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Catherine of Portland; one nephew, Joseph of Bar Harbor; aunts and cousins, including special aunt, Bernadine Bohan, and special cousin, Dolores Bohan, both of Bath, New Brunswick.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Oct. 23, 1999, at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Bar Harbor, with Father Joseph Daniels presiding. Interment was at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Bar Harbor. Contributions in Richard’s memory may be made to the Diabetes Fund, c/o Eastern Maine Charities, P.O. Box 404, Bangor, ME 04402. Arrangements by Fernald Funeral Chapel, Mount Desert.

Eva Jean Murphy

BERNARD - Eva Jean Murphy, 58, died Oct. 4, 1999, at a Bangor hospital. She was born in Bar Harbor on March 4, 1941, the daughter of Leonard Roger and Harriet May (Higgins) Higgins.

She worked for many years for the Tremont School hot lunch program and will also be remembered for many wedding cakes that she made. Eva was a member of the Head of the Harbor Congregational Church. She volunteered as a telephone counselor for domestic abuse. Eva was a nature lover and was a caring and loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, and will be sadly missed by all of her friends and family.

Along with her parents, she is survived by her husband of 43 years, Allen Murphy; two sons, Stewart Wayne Murphy and his wife, Amy, of Bass Harbor, Shawn W. Murphy and his wife, Jill, of Seal Cove; a daughter, Stacie Waynette Murphy and her partner, Cliff Skinner, of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Edward Higgins of Bernard, Aaron Higgins of Trenton; three sisters, Nancy Hinckley of Bernard, Ruth Ann Link of Bar Harbor, Linda Fernandez of Bernard; five grandchildren, Nicole, Cameron, Carter, Parker, and Paige.

The funeral service will be private. Friends are invited to meet with the family at noon, Friday, Oct. 8, 1999, for a memorial reception at the Head of the Harbor Congregational Church Parish Hall, Bass Harbor. Interment will be at Center Cemetery, Seal Cove. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Eva's memory may be made to the Head of the Harbor Building Fund, c/o Carol Farley, P.O. Box 6, Bernard, ME 04612, or the American Diabetes Association, 10 Bangor St., Suite F, Augusta, ME 04330. Arrangements are in the care of Fernald Funeral Chapel, Mount Desert.

Perley "Pud" Harriman

RICHMOND - Perley "Pud" Harriman, 80, of Pleasant St., Richmond, and Naples, Fla., died Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, at Maine General Medical Center, Augusta. He was born Nov. 11, 1918, in Franklin, the son of George and Vilora (Googins) Harriman, and attended Franklin schools.

"Pud" served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and served in the Asiatic Theater. He was part of the Marine Raider Battalion. Pud was in five battles, wounded twice and was also a recipient of two Purple Hearts.

Pud worked as a game warden for many years and later retired after 20 years from Bath Iron Works, where he worked in the supply office.

He was a member of the DAV Brunswick Chapter and an avid fisherman and hunter who loved animals. Pud also enjoyed being with his family, particularly his grandchildren.

Pud was predeceased by his sister, Lena Dorgan. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Priscilla (Bunker) Harriman; daughters, Linda MacPhee of Gardiner, Patricia Harriman of Augusta; grandchildren, Lisa and Carl Dodge of Houlton, Shawn Porter of Winthrop, Heather Porter of Naples, Fla.; brother-in-law, L. Bradley Bunker and his wife, Dorothia, of Franklin; nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held at Father Leclair Memorial Chapel, Maine Veterans Cemetery, Augusta, on Oct. 13, 1999, with Pastor Jim Pierson officiating. The American Legion and Marine contingent performed military honors. Contributions in Perley’s name may be made to the Humane Society, Western Ave., Augusta, ME 04330, in memory of his dog Burtt. Arrangements by Kincer Funeral Home, 14 South Pleasant St, Richmond.

Florence (Sawyer) Emery

DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. - Florence (Sawyer) Emery, 95, died Oct. 14, 1999, at Daytona Beach, Fla. She was born in Lagrange, July 8, 1904, the daughter of Enos Sawyer and Addie (Lancaster) Sawyer.

Florence loved music and taught music for many years, both in schools and privately, passing on her love of music to her own children and children wherever she went. She was also skilled at rug making and refinishing antiques. She was choir director and an active member of churches in Maine (Bar Harbor, Bethel and Lamoine). She also lived in Bangor for a time and had resided in both Florida and Maine since her husband, Theodore P. Emery, passed away in 1970.

She is survived by two sons and their families, Richard Emery and his wife, Patricia, and grandson, Seth, all of Manchester, Mass., and granddaughter, Anne, and her husband, Daniel Badders, and great-grandson, Nicholas, all of Livermore, Calif., and son, Theodore P. Emery Jr. of Lamoine, and grandson, Charles, and his wife, Beth, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., grandson, Allan, and his wife, Nancy, and great-granddaughter, Faith, all of Portland, and great-grandson, Segue of Santa Fe, N.M., and grandson, Theodore P. Emery III and his wife, Jeanne, and great-grandsons, Arion and Lancaster, all of Farmington; two nephews, Waldron Sawyer and his wife, Winona, of Bangor and Ormond Beach, Fla., and Malcolm Andrews and his wife, Pattrice, of Plymouth, N.H. She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers, Stanley Sawyer and Sheldon Sawyer, and her sister, Irma (Sawyer) Andrews.

There will be no service at this time, but there will be a memorial service in the summer of 2000 in Lamoine. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.

Thomas Edward Wilbur

HANCOCK - Thomas Edward Wilbur, 87, died Oct. 24, 1999, at a Bristol, Conn., hospital. He was born April 2, 1912, in Eastbrook, the son of Alonzo J. and Melinda (Kief) Wilbur. Tom served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He is survived by a daughter, Jean Wilbur of Terryville, Conn,; a son, Roger T. Wilbur and his wife, Karen, of Nevada; one grandson, Lon Thomas Benson of Terryville, Conn.; one sister, Edith Leland and her husband, Charles, of Hancock; a brother and sister-in-law, Morrill and Evelyn Jones of Sullivan; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Virginia "Pauline" (Gatcomb) Wilbur in 1993.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999, at Hillcrest Cemetery, Hancock, with Michael Page officiating. Arrangements by Jordan Funeral Home, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth.

Rena (Marks) Williamson

EAST BLUE HILL - Rena (Marks) Williamson, 89, wife of the late Reginald Arle Williamson, passed away Oct. 5, 1999, at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 13, 1910, in North Sedgwick, the daughter of Henry and Minnie (Paige) Marks and graduated from George Stevens Academy in Blue Hill in 1928.

Rena lived in Waltham, Mass., and was an annual summer resident of East Blue Hill for many years, finally settling there in 1975. She was a member and supporter of the East Blue Hill Baptist Church as well as Young's Memorial Chapel of Newbury Neck. Rena joined the Grange in 1924 at the age of 14. She belonged to the East Blue Hill Grange; then joined the Arbutus Grange of Surry, finally becoming a member of the Rainbow Grange in Cape Rosier. Rena held many offices in the Grange, including chaplain and master.

She was a loving mother to two sons, Stephen and Donald, and a daughter, Cynthia, all three having predeceased her. Rena was truly a loving, caring grandmother to her surviving 11 grandchildren and her 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; her sister-in-law, Glenn (Williamson) Anderson of Harvard, Mass., and a son-in-law, Frank Jones, currently residing at the Penobscot Nursing Home. In addition, Rena loved people and spent most of her life helping others. She always found time to share with those in need. She touched many people's lives.

Friends are invited to visit 3 to 6 p.m., Monday, Oct. 11, 1999, at Healey Funeral Home, South Street, Blue Hill; also from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, at the East Blue Hill Baptist Church, with Pastor Ron Hutchins officiating. Interment will be in Seaside Cemetery, Blue Hill. Friends who wish may make gifts in Rena's memory to the East Blue Hill Baptist Church, East Blue Hill, ME 04629.
