MOSSHAMER, SAMUEL E., Born March 4, 1925 in Detroit, MI, passed away Friday, July 26, 2002. He was predeceased by his wife Beverly (Buckham) in 1991, on brother Edgar and one sister Virginia. He is survived by his three daughters Cynthia (Gerald) Mattack of Oxford, MI, Barbara (Patrick) Lamb of Burr Ridge, IL, Sandra (Kenneth) Crumrine of Chicago, IL, and eight grandchildren. Mr. Mosshamer lived in Grand Rapids since 1951, was a retired salesman of electrical supplies. He was active in the Widowed Persons Service. He attended Eastminster Presbyterian Church. A memorial will be held Thursday 12:00 noon at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 2800 Burton St. S.E., Grand Rapids, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00 to 12:00 Thursday prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Widowed Person Services, 4211 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, MI 49509.

MURRAY, RUTH L., Age 95 of Grosse Pointe Woods, July 27, 2002. Beloved wife of the late James E. Murray. Loving mother of the late Daniel William and Peggy Anne Haddad. Dear grandmother of Patrick James (Elizabeth) Haddad and Dorothy Ruth (Thomas) Heithjan. Sister of Dorothy Adelman of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. POTTS, DOLORES F., (nee Waszewski) Age 73. Died July 28, 2002. She is survived by her children David (Kim) Potts and Barbara (John) Sharba. grandchldren Emily Potts and Bob Stachowiak; Brother John (Beverly) Wallard; sisters Rita Harris and Jeannette (Everette) Shirley and former husband George Potts. She was pre-deceased by her son George Potts; brothers Arthur and Richard Waszewski. She was deeply loved and will be missed. The family has planned a private service.

RALLS, THELMA PAULINE East Lansing, formerly of Okemos. Born August 18, 1913 in Galt, MO, the third of four daughters born to Otis and Vesta Harris Smith; died July 28, 2002 at the age of 88. Her family was American and has been for generations, in all its branches. In 1935 she married Reid E. Ralls of Galt, MO, he preceded her in death in 1994. Mr. Ralls was a member of a pioneering family, which moved from Virginia and settled in Missouri after the Revolutionary War. She and her husband moved to Michigan in the 1930's, where she lived until her death. Mrs. Ralls maintained her family and personal friendships for her lifetime, traveling each year to renew friendships and writing her family and friends to share news. She lived for her family, friends, and faith. A loving courageous woman with a gift for friendship, she lived a life of Christian faith and bedrock principles. Mrs. Ralls was an accomplished gardener, excellent cook, prolific letter writer, extraordinary storyteller of wit and humor, and an informed American citizen who never failed to cast her absentee ballot in local, state and national elections. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Okemos, providing testimony of her faith in her daily acts of love, and was a former member of Temple Baptist Church of Redford, MI. Mrs. Ralls took enormous pride in her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her son, William and daughter-in-law Rosemary Ralls, of Okemos, MI; daughter Sandra and son-in-law George Morris, of San Francisco, CA; grandchildren William Ralls and wife Siobhan Donofrio of Hingham, MA; Katharine and husband James Wise of Scottsdale, AZ; Robert and wife Heather Ralls of Overland Park, KS; Robert Morris of New York City and Michael Reid and Katharine Morris both of San Francisco, CA; great-grandchildren Ryan Reid and Phoebe Donofrio-Ralls; sister Kay and brother-in-law Paul Macke of Milton, WI; brother-in-law F. Gene and wife Lee Ralls of Florida; and many loving friends. Her family would like to thank her friends, caregivers and staff at Burcham Hills for all of the kindness and care given to Thelma. Funeral services will be held Wednesday July 31, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Okemos, 4684 Marsh Rd., Okemos, with the Rev. Joe Dabrowski, Associate Pastor officiating. Interment will follow in East Lawn Memory Gardens, Okemos. The family will receive friends at the Gorsline-Runciman Co., East Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. Those desiring may make contributions to the First Baptist Church of Okemos in memory of Mrs. Ralls.
