JENKINS, GERTRUDE CAROLINE STEFFEN age 88, a 24-year resident of Lighthouse Point, Florida, died of cancer July 27 in Peachtree City, Georgia where she had recently moved. Born February 28, 1912 in Detroit, Michigan, Mrs. Jenkins was a graduate of the University of Michigan and was active in Detroit business women's organizations. She taught at Detroit Business College for many years and held various secretarial and administrative positions in Detroit with banks, corporations and law firms. She continued her employment in Florida with Attorney Erwin H. Haass and the Haass Family Offices until the time of her death. Mrs. Jenkins was the wife of the late Alexander Anderson Jenkins of Detroit, and is survived by her step-son, Robert A. Jenkins and his wife Patricia; her step-grandson, Thomas A. Jenkins and his wife Barbara; and two step-great-grandchildren, Andrew T. and Elizabeth A. Jenkins, all of Peachtree City, Georgia.
