SLADOVICH, PHILIP J., July 24, 1999 at Merritt Island, FL, formerly of Highland Park, MI. survived by daughters: Barbara and Hedy Sladovich; sisters, Katherine Hill and Margaret Krause; brother-in-law, Robert Hill and sister-in-law, Mildred Sladovich and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements by National Cremation Society in Melbourne, FL. Ashes to be interred at Florida National cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Donations may be made to Wuestfhoff Brevard Hospice, P.O. SMITH, CLIFFORD L., Age 74 of Sebastian, Florida, formerly of St. Clair Shores, passed away on August 6, 1999 at his home. He was born on March 12, 1925, the son of Gifford and Lola (Kingery) Smith, in West Virginia. He married Dorothy (Ileen) Jones in Charleston in 1949. She preceded him in death in 1990. Clifford was in the U.S. Army in WWII, where he was a P.O.W. in Germany. He retired from Chevrolet Show and Display of Detroit. He was an avid fisherman and was nicknamed POACH. He married Frances VanDeventer in 1993 in Florida. He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Linda (Ivo) Pillot of Almont; two grandchildren, Kristen Klenk of Roseville and Mateo Pillot of Kalamazoo; one brother, Mark Smith of Virginia; two sisters, Maryetta (Joseph) Holstein of West Virginia, and Relda Lee (Al) Lewis of Tampa. He was preceded in death by his first wife and one brother, Kenneth. Memorial Services will be held at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Almont on Wednesday, August 11, 1999 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Dale Nash officiating. Burial will take place in McCafferty cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer's Foundation.

SPOKAESKI, FRANK L. JR. August 9, 1999, age 66. Beloved husband of Lorraine for 45 years. Loving father of Steve, Tom (Donna) and Jim. Dear grandfather of Aaron, Marissa, Samantha and Jillian. Dear brother of John, Robert, Carolyn and Dorothy (John) Cangialosi. Served in the Army for 2 years (1954-1956) and the National Guard for 10 years (1957-1967). BOROWY, THOMAS HENRY, Age 58; of Harbor Springs and Utica; died August 4, 2000 in Bear Creek Township. Tom was born July 21, 1912 in Hamtramck, the son of Hank and Pesch (Lasky) Borowy. He attended St. Clements School and Centerline High in Centerline. Following high school he entered the U.S. Navy and was stationed in California, Hawaii and Japan. He was discharged in 1962. On May 20, 1966 he married Pamela Hill at St. Benedicts Church in Highland Park and they made their home in Utica. They have also maintained a home in Harbor Springs and Fort Lauderdale since 1976. Tom was a real estate developer and broker in the Utica, Warren, Rochester and Harbor Springs areas. He established Deed Realty in Centerline and Shelby Twp. and THB Building Company. Tom was an avid pilot for the past 22 years and enjoyed flying on a regular basis. Tom is survived by his wife Pam; daughter Cynthia Borowy at home; brother Bill Borowy of Centerline; sisters Pat Desy of Rochester, Carol Lehre of Romeo; parents Hank and Peach Borowy of Warren and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Cardiac Care Unit in Royal Oak. He was interred at Lakeview cemetery in Harbor Springs. Memorial Mass to be held on Thursday, August 10, at 10 am at St. Clements Church in Centerline.

BRADY, VANCE H., August 8, 2000. Age 79, of Allen Park. Beloved husband of Helen. Loving father of Cindy (Daniel) Clark and Dennis (Patricia). Also survived by seven grandchildren and one sister. CIUK, HELEN THERESA, Age 82 of Dearborn, died Tuesday, August 8, 2000 at Boulder Park Terrace Nursing Home in Charlevoix. Mass of the Resurrection will be 9:30 a.m., Monday, August 14, at St. Alphonsus Church in Dearborn. The Reverend Michael Quane will officiate. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre cemetery. Helen was born on February 11, 1918 in McDonaldton, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Michael and Anna (Makuch) Holdinski. Survivors include one son, James R. (Julia) Ciuk, of Charlevoix; eight grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; one brother, John Holdinski; two sisters, Marie Bell and Margaret Krol. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis F. Ciuk and a son, Louis C. Ciuk. Visitation will be at the Lesney Funeral Home, 13201 W. Warren Ave., Dearborn, on Sunday; August 13, from 2-9 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Arrangements were made by the Winchester Funeral Home in Charlevoix
