MAAS, LEWIS D., Of Chelsea, MI, age 85, passed away Friday evening August 13, 1999 at the Meadows of Silver Maples Assisted Living Residence Center in Chelsea. He was born on May 17, 1914 in Farmington, MI the son of Emma (Dietrich) Maas and Herman Lewis Maas. He married Marcella Schluchter in 1938 and she preceded him in death in 1992. Lewis worked as a lineman for Detroit Edison and retired in 1975 after 41 years of service. He enjoyed his cottage on the lake, history, music and Antiques. Surviving are his children John Maas of Huntington, MD, Carol Moeckel (Wendell) of Grass Lake, MI, Gary Maas (Carol) of South Lyon, MI seven grandchildren. David Maas, Kathy Maas-Hebner (Steve), Mike Maas, Laura Moeckel, Matt Moeckel, Matt Moeckel (Denise), Clayton Maas and Barton Maas. Two sisters, Emily Sisson, of Farmington, MI, Doris Noller (Fred), of Muscatine, Iowa. One brother, Ed Maas (Olive) of Zephyr Hills, FL. One sister in-law, Ruth Smith of Gaithersburg, MD, as well as many nieces and nephews. In accordance to his wishes, Lewis had been cremated, and a memorial service will be held Thursday, August 19, at 3:30 p.m. at the Meadows of Silver Maples assisted Living Residence in Chelsea with Rev. Kathy Batell officiating. In Lieu of flowers, in his memory take time to enjoy the things he did. Go to an Auction, refinish that piece of furniture you re been wanting to, go fishing, or travel even if its what he called a "Strawberry Shortcut" that takes you miles out of .dur way. ORGAN, PATRICIA ANN, Age 66 of Burnham Dr., Arcadia, MI, who passed away on August 14, 1999 at West Shore Hospital, Manistee, MI, was born on July 18, 1933 in Washington, D.C., the daughter of Robert O. & Helen Unglaub Morris. Active member of Community Congregational Church in Lathrup Village, MI & Lathrup Village Womens Assoc. married H. Vaughan Organ on Feb. 27, 1960 in Pontiac, MI who survives. She is also survived by three daughters, Kimberly Dawn (Christopher) Prowse of Waterford, MI, Karen Dee Organ of Grand Rapids, MI, Kristen Diane Organ of Decatur, GA and grandson, Mitchell V. Prowse. Memorial services will be held on Wed., August 18, 1999 at 2 p.m. from the Edwards Funeral Home, Bear Lake, MI with Deacon Theodore Beiderwieden officiating. PREDHOMME, PAUL B., 61 years, June 22, 1938-August 14, 1999. Late of Windsor and Cedar Island and formerly Kingsville. Paul died suddenly at his home on Saturday, August 14. Paul is the best buddy and husband of the late Carole (nee Smith), and loving father of P.J. of Gaithersburg, Maryland; Michelle and John McLellan of Barrie, Ontario; Chrissy and David Pierce of Beverly Hills, Michigan and Nicky and friend Bernie Rourke of Windsor. The best Grandpa of Carter McLellan and Abbey Pierce. Paul is the son of the late William and Juliette Predhomme (nee Lalande) and the son-in-law of Syd and Florence Smith of Kingsville. Paul leaves his brothers, Bill, Dennis (Linda), Tom (Margaret) and Micheal (Helene) and his sister, Julie (Brian) Jeffrey and many loved nieces and nephews. Paul was a 1956 graduate of Detroit Catholic Central High School and a 1960 Phi Beta Kappa of the University of Detroit where he was the captain of the golf team. He began his career at Arthur Andersen, and later established his own CPA firm and continued for the past 35 years. He was a member of the American Association of CPAs, as well as the Michigan Association of CPAs. He was a former trustee of the City of Detroit Pension Fund. As an avid golfer, he had been a member of Kingsville Golf and Country Club for nearly half a century, where he became the youngest Club Champion in 1961. Paul and his wife were very active bridge players, both achieving their Life Masters. They traveled throughout North America playing in various bridge tournaments. Paul will be remembered for his love of his family and his quiet gentle presence. He had a wonderful life and he will be missed. WILSON, MABEL E., As a result of severe injuries sustained in an automobile accident, she departed this life on Saturday August 14, 1999 at Sinai-Grace Hospital. Her husband, Otis preceded her in death. Dear mother of three children, James (Linda) Milton, Viola Lynn, and Carol Ann. She leaves two grandchildren, Erich and Alexis; a sister, Willa Mae Gaston, several nieces and nephews; her church family; a host of friends, and very special neighbors. ZANARDELLI, NATALINA "LENA" Age 98, a loving and gentle woman with a smile and kind word for everyone, died August 15, 1999 at St. Anne's Mead Retirement Home in Southfield. Mrs. Zanardelli, born in Brescia, Italy in 1900, was a gifted operatic soprano, graduating from the conservatory there with highest honors and performing extensively in her native land. She immigrated to Detroit in 1930 with her husband Peter, immediately following their marriage. She was featured weekly on Detroit radio during the 1930 s. She also was a skillful seamstress and designer and was employed by several high-fashion shops in the city. She and her husband retired to Florida, where they lived until his death in 1986. She returned to Michigan and since then has been a resident at St. Anne's Mead. To her dying day, she loved to sing and would gladly render a song when asked. Wife of the late Peter. Dear mother of Henry A. (Gloria). Grandmother of Marla M. Coles (Kory) and Vance P. Zanardelli (Elizabeth). Greatgrandmother of Kyle & Taylor Coles and Natalie & Patrick Zanardelli.
