STORMES, BEN FRANCIS, 75, of Englewood, Florida and Grosse Pointe, Michigan, died August 13, 1998. He was born in Charleston, West Virginia on November 12, 1922. He moved to the Englewood area from Grosse Pointe in 1991. He was an Attorney and the C.E.O. for Wickman Corporation for 36 years in Oak Park, Michigan when he retired in 1989 and was Chairman of the Board at the time of his death. He was a member of the Reager Forrester Law Firm in Cleveland, Ohio. He attended St. David's Episcopal Church of Englewood, FL. He was a member of Christ Church in Grosse Pointe; the Recess Club and Fine Arts Society of Detroit. He was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity; Ohio University Alumni; Duke University; Duke University Law School Barrister; Past President of the Ohio Home Builders Association in 1961; Executive Director of the Cleveland Home Builders Association; Ohio Bar Association; Grosse Pointe Yacht Club; American Machine Tool Builders Association; and the National Screw Machine Products Association. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Rita L. Stormes of Englewood, FL; two daughters, Deborah S. Schoenherr of Grosse Pointe and Nita L. Stormes of San Diego, California; two sons, Ben F. Stormes II of Grosse Pointe Farms and Charles Trevor Stormes of Grosse Pointe Woods; seven grandchildren. Funeral services and burial were in Charleston, West Virginia, Monday, August 17, 1998. A memorial service will be held August 19, 1998, 1 p.m. at Christ Church, Grosse Pointe, Michigan.
