LEAMY, COL. FRANCIS (FRANK) P. 92 of Holland, died Friday, August 20, 1999 at the Inn at Freedom Village. He was born in Ottawa, Canada where he graduated from the University of Ottawa Canada. He also served in the Canadian Calvary Princess Louise Dragoon Guards. He moved to the United States in 1928. He retired as a colonel in the US Army where he served in during WWII, Korean Conflict and Cuban Missle crisis. He worked as an engineer at Chrysler Motor Company and owned and operated Acme Detroit Saw Corporation in Ferndale, MI until his retirement in 1976. He was past president of the Ferndale Chamber of Commerce. His is survived by his daughter, Sue & Mike McKanna of Holland; two grandchildren; sister in law, Katherine Leamy of Glendale, CA; nieces, nephews, cousins. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with the Rev. William Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood cemetery. Visitation is scheduled 10-11 prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland or Our Lady of the Lake Memorial Fund. Arrangements are by the Northwood Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, 295 Douglas Ave.
