BEAN, JOHN SAMUEL "JACK" of Torch Lake Township, on the beautiful sands of Grand Traverse Bay. Age 74, died at home with his family on August 27, 1999. He grew up in Royal Oak, and later moved to Lake Angelus. Jack was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps during WWII and served in the South Pacific. He was born in Detroit, MI on September 9, 1924 to Wallace Leslie Bean and Myrtle Regina (who has preceeded him in death). He was married in Royal Oak, MI to Harriet Graham on June 2, 1951. He is survived by his wife Harriet of Torch Lake Township; a son, Christopher (Patti) Bean of Clarkston; daughters, Cynthia Bean of Del Ray Beach, FA, Denise Bean of Clarkston and Mary (Jerry) Stalo; Grandsons, Benjamin and Samuel Bean and Christopher Stalo; Brothers, James R. (Shirley) Bean of Troy, Thomas R. (Pat) Bean of Melia Island, FA and Raymond F. (Patti) Bean of Royal Oak. Funeral Mass Monday, August 30 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Elk Rapids. Rev.
