LADEMAN, BETTY J., Aug. 28, 2000, age 72. Beloved wife of Oscar. Mother of David (Debra), Steven (Beverly), and Thomas (Cindy). Loving grandmother of Jamie, Julie, Jason, and Jenna. Sister of Nina (Tony) Secondino. Sister-in-law of Lorraine Pohlod. Betty was born in Detroit to Stanley & Cecilia Simmons, married Oscar in 1947 and moved to Center Line where they resided in Kramer Home Cooperative. She loved to travel to see historical sites and the beauty of the countryside. She loved her history class and she befriended strangers from coast to coast. In state Friday 9:30 a.m. at St. Clement Church until time of Mass 10 a.m. Visitation Thursday 2-8 p.m. at D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Commons (12 1/2 Mile).

LAZZERI, SALLY (McCLANATHAN). Of Otter Lake. Age 57. Died Tuesday August 29, 2000 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday September 1, 2000 at Kirk in the Hills, 1340 W. Long Lake Rd., Bloomfield Hills. Friends may call at the Brown Funeral Home, 1616 Davison Rd., Flint from 6-8 p.m. this evening. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, 123 W. Madison, Suite 800, Chicago, Illinois 60602. Sally was born January 4, 1943 in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of John and Betty McClanathan. She was a graduate of Birmingham High School. Attended Denison University in Ohio and graduated from the University of Michigan. Sally taught biology at Lakeville and Lapeer High Schools. She was united in marriage to Paul A. Lazzeri on June 22, 1968. Surviving are husband Paul; daughter and son-in-law Susan and Steve Bennett, II of Burton; two brothers John (Peggy) McClanathan of NM; James (Jane) McClanathan of NC; sister Susan Bannon of Birmingham; sister-in-law Dorothy Jordan of Davison; many nieces and nephews.

TAPANI, JOHN RAYMOND "RAY" of Livonia, on August 28, 2000. at the age of 74. He was born June 11, 1926 in Detroit to Hilma and William Tapani originally of Finland. During WW II he served in the U.S. Army from 1944-1946 in Germany, D Company, 47th Infantry Regiment, 9th Infantry Division. He was awarded the Bronze Star and other medals. After the war he graduated from Wayne State University in Civil Engineering, Fluent in Finnish, he also studied Russian. He married Martta Pirinen on June 23, 1956 in Detroit. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Evelyn and son-in-law James Rosenthal. Son Arno and daughter-in-law Susan and their two daughters Holly and Eva; and his youngest daughter Eila and son-in-law Ray Yuan and their two children Kristin and Alexander. Family will receive friends Friday 10 AM until 12 Noon service at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, 33603 Grand River Ave. Farmington (1 Blk. W. of Farmington Rd.) Reception to follow at the Finnish Center Association, 35200 W. 8 Mile Rd. Farmington Hills, MI 48335.
