Sr. & Agnes Marsack of Clinton Twp. Dear brother of Tammy Germaine, Kevin Marsack, Debby Marsack, Mark Marsack, Wendy Reifert, Christopher Marsack, Matthew Marsack and Barry Marsack. DOWD, DOROTHY I., Age 92. Beloved wife of the late Peter F. Dowd. Died peacefully at home in Oak Park, MI Thursday, Sept. 3. Dorothy was born in Sunfield, MI the daughter of Harry and Ethel Mapes. She lived for many years in Berkley, MI and during retirement in Ontonagon and Southfield, MI. Dorothy was an accomplished pianist who taught music in Detroit and Berkley, MI. She also was organist and choir director for St. David's Episcopal Church in Southfield, MI for several years, as well as the Church of the Ascension in Ontonagon. As a consummate homemaker, Dorothy was known for her apple pies and chocolate chip cookies. Her modesty and sweet disposition were a delight to her friends and family. Dorothy is survived by a daughter Peggy (Marc) Letvin of Oak Park, MI; a brother Larry (Kate) Mapes of Sunfield, MI; granddaughters Leigh (Dwight) Seabright of Euclid, Ohio, Janice (Yehuda Leib) Brea of Jerusalem, Israel, Cori Letvin and Alexis Letvin of Oak Park, as well as three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6 at the Rosier Funeral Home, Mapes-Fisher Chapel, Sunfield, MI.
