Age 73, died Saturday, November 27, 1999 at Oakwood Hospital, Dearborn. He was born on August 11, 1926 in Belleville, MI, the son of the late John and Mary (Peszek) Price. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Anthony Men's Club, the Polish National Alliance, and the Building Officials of Michigan. He was a building inspector in Van Buren Township for 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Sally (Daniels) Price; four children, Stephen (Linda) Price of Willis, Raymond (Linda) Price and Ronald (Dawn) Price, both of Belleville, and Stanley (Patty Donahue) Price Jr. of Taylor; four step-children, Thomas (Cheryl) Bowles and Therese (Tim) Thomas,both of Belleville, Susan (David) D'Orazio of Pennsylvania and Joseph (Judy) Bowles of Westland;16 grandchildren; four sisters, Sophie Chawlik of Westland, Helen (Edward) Banas of Belleville, Jean (Edward) Kornacki of Brighton and Frances (Robert) Soja of Belleville. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rose Price; his parents; two brothers, Joseph and Leo Price; and one sister, Angeline Fleaszar. In-state, DAVID C. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 460 E. Huron River Dr., Belleville, where friends may call 7-9 p.m. tonight and 12-9 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Thomas Cusick officiating. Interment will be in Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock. Memorial contributions to the wishes of the family would be appreciated.

Pasquantonio, Germaine M., Ann Arbor, MI

Age 86, died Saturday, November 27, 1999 at the U of M Hospital. She was born in Green Bay, WI on March 11, 1913. On April 7, 1934 she married John Pasquantonio in Detroit, and he preceded her in death November 15, 1999. Germaine enjoyed embroidery and reading. She was a devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her daughters, Beverly (Arthur) Wilkins and Dorothy (Ken) Savage; her sons, John (Carolyn), Gerald (Kathleen) and Daniel (Jane) Pasquantonio; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30am Wednesday, December 1at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Ann Arbor with Fr. Dwight Ezop presiding. The family will receive visitors 6-9pm Tuesday at MUEHLIG CHAPEL, with a Rosary at 8pm. Interment will be in Arborcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Arbor Hospice.

Halberstadt, Helen, Milan, MI

Age 91, died Thursday, November 25, 1999 at the Saline Evangelical Home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 30 at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home, Milan, MI, with Pastor Blake Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in Marble Park cemetery, Milan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Milan Baptist Church or to the Saline Evangelical Home.

Hagen, Gloria R., Saline, MI

Age 73, died Sunday, November 28, 1999 at Saline Community Hospital. She was born February 28, 1926 in Becker County, MN, the daughter of Sigvald and Hilda (Carlson) Olson.On October 24, 1954 in Sissiton, South Dakota, she married Buford M. Hagen and he survives. Mrs. Hagen was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor and was employed by the Singer Sewing Company for over18 years. Survivors in addition to her husband Buford include one brother, Clifford (Mildred) Olson of Pinckney; three sisters, Anna (Herb) Jones of Ann Arbor, Mae LaBounty of Phoenix, AZ, Audrey (Carl) Miller of Manitou Springs, CO; a sister-in-law, Emma Olson; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 30 at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home, Saline. Memorials may be made to American Heart Assoc. or to a charity of one's choice. Envelopes available at the funeral home where friends may call 9-11 a.m. Tuesday.

Vogel, Elsa Lorina, Ann Arbor, MI

Was called to her heavenly home on November 27, 1999, following a long illness. She was born April 12, 1918 in Manchester, MI, daughter of Edward and Helen Reimold Dayss. She had been a resident of Ann Arbor since 1946. On April 2, 1942 she G. Vogel, who preceded her in death on February 28, 1992. Survivors include one loving son, Timothy Jon Vogel of Big Rapids, MI; a devoted daughter-in-law, Vickie; and two granddaughters, Elizabeth Grace and Lisa Marie Vogel. She is also survived by three brothers, Robert and Leonard Dayss of Manchester, and Willard Dayss of Jackson; two sisters-in-law, Ruth and Phyllis Dayss; four sisters, Ruth McGraw of Downey, CA, Bertha Miller of Ann Arbor, Cora Iwanicki of Clinton, Hilda Arnold of Manchester. She was preceded in death by brother, Richard Dayss of Downey, CA. She graduated from Manchester High School, Eastern Michigan University and taught hearing impaired students for 23 years. She taught at Lutheran School for deaf in Detroit and Jackson in the early 1940's. She taught and retired from Ida Public Schools in Monroe County in 1983. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, ZLGW, Senior Citizens Guild, Michigan Education Association, Michigan Public School Employee Retirement System, and a volunteer program, Teaching Learning Community, for Ann Arbor Public Schools at Haisley School for many years. Her favorite pastime was her love of traveling and reading. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 2 at 11 a.m. at MUEHLIG FUNERAL CHAPEL with Reverend Barry Ludwig presiding. Visitation will be Wednesday 4-8 p.m. Interment at Washtenong Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.

McAuliffe, Daniel Matthew, Howell, MI

Murphy, Mildred Alice (Griswold), Ann Arbor, MI

Age 90, died Saturday, November 27, 1999 at the Saline Evangelical Home where she was a resident since July 1999. She is survived by her children Charles of Lakeland, MI, Richard and his wife of Spring Lake, MI, Harold and his wife Carolyn of Littleton, CO, William and his wife of Batesburg, SC, and Marjorie Murphy of Ann Arbor; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Claude in April 1991; and a daughter, Janet Charlene Murphy. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 1, 1999, 11 a.m. at MUEHLIG FUNERAL CHAPEL. Interment will be in London cemetery Milan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3-7 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Those wishing may make contributions to Welcome Home for the Blind of Grand Rapids c/o of the Lions Club, 1953 Monroe NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505.

Porter, Isabel, Morgan Hill, CA

(Formerly of Ann Arbor, MI)
Age 89, died on November 7, 1999. A resident of Ann Arbor for more than 50 years, she was preceded in death by her husband, R. Clay Porter, Professor Emeritus of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan. Mrs. Porter was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church and a volunteer for many years at University Hospital in Ann Arbor.Prior to moving to California in 1994 she and her husband lived in Brookhaven Manor Retirement Community. She is survived by two sons, Stephen of California and Richard of California; one grandchild; and three step-grandchildren. Her ashes have been placed with those of her husband in the memorial garden at the First Methodist Church.

Lippitt, Peggy B., Ann Arbor, MI

Age 91, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 24, 1999 in Ann Arbor. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Ronald Lippitt. Loving mother to Connie Cohn of Ann Arbor and step-mother to Dr. Larry Lippitt of Ann Arbor, Carolyn McCarthy of Battle Creek and Martha Lippitt of Esko, MN. Cherished grandmother to Bridget Trefethen and husband Vance, Guy Larkin, Stephanie Laurence, Karman Lippitt, Eric Lippitt, Coriander McCarthy-Thompson and husband Greg, Rosemary McCarthy, Michael McCarthy, Jesse Begay, Wyatt Begay; and great-grandmother to Charlotte and Rebecca Trefethen. Dear mother-in-law to Dr. Frank McCarthy and Dr. Sylvia Carter; and a dear friend to many. Peggy will be remembered fondly by the many who took part in the parenting program which she led in Ann Arbor for nearly 20 years. She will also be much missed and remembered with love by the members of the Monday evening Vajriana Buddhist meditation group which took place in her home for over 15 years, and by members of the Udiyan Maitreya Kosha Center in Denver, CO. The Buddhist prayer vigil was performed in her home by the meditation group. Cremation has taken place. The family invites friends to join them for a memorial gathering and celebration of Peggy's life which will be held at Peggy's home, 1916 Cambridge Rd, Ann Arbor on Sunday, December 12, 1999 from 1-4 p.m.Donations in memory of Peggy Lippitt may be made in her name to Udiyan Maitreya Kosha Center (UMK), P.O. Crossen, Robert John M.D., Williamsburg, VA

(Formerly of Ann Arbor, MI)
Dr. Robert John Crossen died on Wednesday, November 24, 1999 at his home in Williamsburg, VA. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on April 13, 1923, the son of Dr. Edward C. and Gladys Gill Crossen. He graduated from Emmanuel Training High School and Indiana University. He received his medical degree from Indiana University in 1946. His internship and Ophthalmology residency were taken at Harper Hospital in Detroit. From 1947-49, he served as a captain in the U.S. Army Air Corp as part of the Army of Occupation in Germany.As a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, he maintained a private Ophthalmology practice in Detroit and Grosse Pointe. He was a professor at Wayne State University, and later became a professor at the Kellogg Eye Institute at University of Michigan from which he retired to Williamsburg in 1988. An international lecturer on medical used of contact lenses, he was a board member of the American Association of Ophthalmology and the Contact Lense Association of Ophthalmologists, Inc. (CLAO). He served as President and Treasurer of Michigan Ophthalmological Society.In Michigan he was president of the Grosse Pointe Symphony Society. After retiring to Williamsburg, he continued his medical interest by presenting Dr. Bob's Medical Minutes on Channel 38 and similar courses at the Christopher Wren Association. His interest in photography enabled him to be a James City County Video Volunteer for which he recently received a 10 year service award. At the studio, he worked as the Executive Producer and was often seen video taping community events for the Channel 38. He was a member of the James City County Cable Commission. At the Williamsburg Presbyterian Church, he served as an Elder. Bob was president, director and frequent performer at the Ford's Colony Theatre Club. Surviving are his wife, Bettejean Crossen; daughters, Kathleen Butti (Obaid) of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, Janet Crossen of Bethesda, MD, and Phyllis Crossen-Richardson (Robert C. IV) of Annapolis; his grand-children, Omar and Miriam Butti of U.A.E. and Victoria and Robert C. Richardson V of Annapolis. Memorial service will be held 2pm Wednesday, December 1, 1999 at Williamsburg Presbyterian Church. Tributes may be sent to Williamsburg Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 215 Richmond Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185 or to a charity of your choice.

Doman, Ronald, Vero Beach, FL

Ronald James Doman, age 61, died on November 15, 1999 at Indian River Memorial Hospital after a prolonged illness. He was born September 27, 1938 in Ann Arbor, MI. Mr. Doman was a graduate of the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry. Upon moving to Vero Beach in 1984, he opened his own practice, Ronald J. Doman, DDS of Sebastian, which he continued until his retirement in 1995. He served in the U.S. Air Force, was an officer of the Vero Beach Veterans, a member of the American Legion Post 39 and the Italian American Civic Assoc. of Vero Beach. Mr. Doman is survived by his wife Mary; daughter, Connie Snow of Crystal River, FL; four sons, James Doman of the U.S. Navy, Ronald Doman of Lacombe, LA, Scott Doman of Brooklyn, MI, David Doman of Ann Arbor, MI; and four special grandchildren, Kim, Chrissy, Drew and Emily. His mother and father, Florence and Theodore Doman and brother Teddy Doman, preceded him in death. A wake was held Thursday, November 18, 4-7 p.m. at 608 Tulip Lane, Vero Beach. In lieu of flowers, friends are requested to make contributions, in Doc's memory, to the Vero Beach Veterans, 2500 15th Ave., Vero Beach, FL 32960.

Griffith, Daisy Doss, Ann Arbor, MI

Age 90, departed from this life on November 26, 1999. Daisy was born August 11, 1909 in Tuscaloosa, AL, the daughter of Emmitt and Polly (Bunton) Doss and attended Stillman College in Tuscaloosa. She married Henry Sanders, and from this union they had one daughter, Margarette. Daisy and her family relocated to Ypsilanti in 1942, later moving to Ann Arbor. Daisy was an active member of Brown Chapel A.M.E. in Ypsilanti, and also of several other community organizations. She later became a member of Bethel A.M.E., Ann Arbor. Henry preceded her in death in 1959. In 1967, she married Ellis Griffith and he preceded her in death in 1968. In addition to her daughter, Margarette (Arthur) Mack, she is survived by two brothers, Wesley (Minnie) Doss, and James Doss, both of Chicago, IL; her three granddaughters, Terri (Victor) Robinson, Dawn (David) Mack-Moore head, and Andrea Jones; six great-grandchildren, Nicolle (Darryl) Campbell, Anthony Mack, Victor Robinson II, Michael Robinson, William White, Chenelle Jones, and Ashley Robinson; her three great-great-grandchildren, Alanna Campbell, Alycia Robinson, and Brianna Campbell, all of Ann Arbor; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Thursday, December 2, 1999 at the Bethel A.M.E. Church, 900 John A. Woods Dr, Ann Arbor, with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. Reverend Alfred Johnson officiating. Interment, United Memorial Gardens, Plymouth In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Arbor Hospice Home Care, 2366 Oak Valley, Ann Arbor, MI 48103. Royal, Necia J., Milan, MI

Age 77, passed away on Monday,November 29, 1999 at Arbor Hospice Residence. Necia was born August 4, 1922, the daughter of George and Ivah (Mangus) Trebilcox. She had been a lifelong Milan resident, graduating from Milan High School in 1940. Necia was a Life Member of OES Chapter 106, where she served as Secretary and was a Past Matron. She was also a member of the Marble Memorial United Methodist Church. Necia was well known to the community as the coordinator of the dinners put on by the church and at the Masonic Lodge. She had owned Necia's Drive-In for many years, retiring in 1962. On December 27, 1941 she was married to Raymond Royal, and he survives. Also surviving are her children,Denny (Carolyn) Royal and Linda (Tommie) Smith; her brother, Hal C. (Eleanor) Trebilcox of Belleville; her five grandchildren, Todd, Rodney and Ryan Royal, Kevin (Becky) Wenzel and Jody (Greg) Taylor. Also five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ivah Trebilcox, and her brother, Jack Trebilcox. Memorial tributes may be made in Necia's honor to the Marble Memorial United Methodist Church, and/or Arbor Hospice. Envelopes are available at NIE FUNERAL HOME, 2400 Carpenter Rd., where the family will receive friends Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, December 3, 1999 at the Nie Funeral Home with Rev.
