- Age 71, passed this life Thursday, February 11, 1999 at Genesys Regional Medical Center- Health Park. Family hour 10:30AM Wednesday, February 17, 1999 from the Metropolitan Baptist Tabernacle, 930 E. Myrtle, with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Dr. A.J. Pointer officiating. Interment Lovedale cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30AM Wednesday. Mrs. Walsh now lies in state in the Chapel of the Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed after 12Noon today. Mrs. Emma Lou (Norman) Walsh was born February 12, 1927 in Newton, Mississippi, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan and Emma (Thames) Norman. She was a member of the Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Tabernacle. Mrs. Walsh was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She leaves to cherish her memory: son, Joe N. Wash and special friend Kim Star; daughter, Velma Louise Nichols; 17 grandchildren; 7 1/2 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Mary Wash; son-in-law, Jimmie Mosley, all of Flint; mother, Emma (Thames) Norman, of Newton, MS; brother, Richard (Sudie) Norman of Chicago, IL; 3 sisters, Ruby (Earl) Boose, Birdie Lee (Bennie) Earvin of MS, and Catherine Bass of Flint; 2 sisters-in-law, Della and Vergie Walsh; brother-in-law, Benjamin (Susie) Walsh, all of Flint; a host of other relatives and friends.

TATROW, Agnes B.

- Of Otisville, age 84, died Wednesday, February 3, 1999 at Fostorian Manor, Flushing. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Saturday from the Groves Chapel, Hansen Funeral Home, 421 N. Main St., Davison, Rev. James Offrink officiating. Burial in Sherman Township cemetery, Tustin, Michigan. Family will receive visitors 2-5 and 6-9PM Friday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association.

THOMPSON, William W.

- Of Posen, formerly of Flint, age 86, died Tuesday, February 2, 1999 at Pineview Nursing Home in Hillman, Michigan. Funeral service was held at 1PM today.

WILLIAMS, Yvonne R.

- Of Mt. Morris, age 58, passed away suddenly, Wednesday, February 3, 1999 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral service will be held at 10AM Saturday, February 6, 1999 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Dale L. Lewis officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills cemetery. Contributions may be made to the family. Visitation 1-4 and 6-9PM Friday at the funeral home.

WILSON, Baby Anelleo LaTrell

- Age 3 months, died Wednesday, February 3, 1999 from the Children's Hospital of Detroit. Funeral service 1PM Saturday, February 6, 1999 from the North Central Church of Christ, 2001 N. Saginaw St. Bro. Darrell Holt officiating. Interment River Rest cemetery. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 12:30PM Saturday. Baby Wilson now lies in state in the Chapel of the Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. There will be no public viewing. Baby Anelleo LaTrell Wilson was born October 7, 1998 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Ms. LaTonya Wilson and Mr. Charles Grover. He leaves to cherish his memory: mother; father; grandparents, Newman and Ruth Wilson of Flint; great grandparents, Odessa and Johnnie Gibbs, and Rosa Ann Wilson of Whatley, AL; 2 aunts, LaTrina and Tamika Wilson; 4 uncles, Iveco, Sr. (fiancee' Katrina), Newman Jr., Antione, and Deqwan Wilson; 12 great aunts, Phyllis, Peggy, Yvonne, Mellisa, Linda, Denise, Carrie, Shirley, Wilola, Gaynell, Helen, and Michell; a host of great uncles, cousins including Iveco Jr., other relatives and friends including special friends, Shareika Latimore and Candice Jones. Baby Wilson was preceded in death by his great grandfather, Elbert L. Wilson.

WOODYARD, Mr. Charlie

- Age 71, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 1999 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 1PM Saturday, February 6, 1999 from the Chapel of Swanson Funeral Home, 2210 Martin Luther King, Jr. Ave., Elder Steve Hawkins officiating. Interment at Lovedale Memorial, 5175 E. Bristol Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the chapel 12:30PM at which time the family will receive friends. Mr. Woodyard now reposes in the Chapel of Swanson Funeral Home and may be viewed. Mr. Charlie Woodyard was born October 24, 1927 in LaGrange, GA, to the son of John and Willie (Clay) Woodyard. He was a retired Inspector at General Motors-Buick. He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Ethel Woodyard; special friend, Corean Nickerson; 2 daughters, Barbara Ann Carter of Atlanta, GA, Linda Watkins-Coleman; 2 sons, Hans and Anthony Watkins, both of Detroit; and many grandchildren; 2 sisters, Corene Allen and Victoria Pickard; 2 nephews, Mr. and Mrs. (William) and Vivian Pickard and James Parker; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and dear friends survive. Mr. Woodyard was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister Martha Campbell, 1 brother, Paul Woodyard.

COLLINS, Michael D.

- Of Clio, age 27, died Thursday, February 4, 1999 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral arrangements will be announced.

EDWARDS, Mr. Wayman L.

- Age 67, passed away Thursday, February 4, 1999 at his residence.

FISHER, Edwin C.

- Of Detour, MI, formerly of Flint, age 91, died Thursday, February 4, 1999 at his daughter's residence. Arrangements will be announced later.

GALLAGHER, Margaret

- Age 85, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday, February 4, 1999 at her daughters residence in Grand Blanc. Funeral arrangements will be announced.

GILLETTE, Evelyn R.

- Of Burton, age 82, died Wednesday, February 3, 1999 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral service will be held at 1PM Saturday, February 6, 1999 at St. Christophers Episcopal Church, 4417 S. Saginaw Street in Burton, The Reverend George L. Cleaves, Jr. officiating. Burial in Crestwood cemetery. Contributions may be made to the St. Christophers Episcopal Church Building Fund. Visitation 1-9PM Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Mrs. Gillette will be at the church from 12Noon Saturday until the time of the service.

HARRINGTON, Mr. Lawrence Jason "J-Roc"

- Age 16, died Sunday, January 31, 1999 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 1:30PM Saturday, February 6, 1999 from the Faith United Methodist Church, 2266 W. Coldwater Rd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2PM. Rev. Henry M. Larkin officiating. Interment River Rest cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 1:30PM Saturday. Mr. Harrington now lies in state in the Chapel of the Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed after 1PM today. Mr. Lawrence Jason "J-Roc" Harrington was born May 5, 1982 in Chicago, IL, the son of Elnora Washington and Lawrence McNeal, and had been a resident of Flint since 1984. He attended Flint Schools. He dedicated his life to Christ in 1992, where he joined True Temple Community Church. Jason enjoyed watching and playing basketball, and he loved to bowl. He leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Elnora Washington of Flint; father, Lawrence (Lisa) McNeal of Chicago, IL; stepfather, Darrell Washington of Flint; 3 brothers, Christopher and Darrell II, both of Flint, and Lawrence Jr. of Chicago, IL; 4 sisters, Alexis of Flint, Katina, Cashmere, and Taina, all of Chicago, IL; grandmothers, Prenola Moore of Flint, and Hilda McNeal of Chicago, IL; great grandmother, Lorean Brackett of Flint; 7 uncles; 11 aunts; godparents, Betty Davis of Gary, IN and Vincent Hearst of Flint; special cousin and friend, Nicole Harrington of Flint; best friend, William "Big Will" Harris of Flint, a host of other cousins and friends including special friend Sharice Lawrence. Mr. Harrington was preceded in death by his uncle; great aunt. Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. - Of Flint, age 59, died Wednesday, February 10, 1999 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 2PM Saturday, February 13, 1999 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Father Douglas Osborn officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Lung Association. Visitation 1- 4 and 6-9PM Friday and 10AM Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Mr. Austin was born in Flint, Michigan on January 2, 1940, the son of James and Pauline Austin and was a resident of Flint most of his life. Surviving are mother, Pauline Austin of Flint; brother, Cary James and wife Bonita of AuGres, Robert and wife Angela of Mt. Morris; sister, Marcia and husband Marty Piechowski of Flint, Alicia and husband Robert Gomez of Miami; several nieces and nephews; children, Matt, Anna, Wade, and Kelli. He was preceded in death by his father and his Aunt Mimi Tebo.

REMBERT, Mrs. Antee

- Age 96, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, February 7, 1999 at Genesys Regional Medical Center- Health Park. Family hour 10AM Saturday, February 13, 1999 from the Harris Memorial Church of God in Christ, 4317 Lippincott Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Dr. Henry Horton officiating. Supt. Walter E. Bogan Pastor. Interment Flint Memorial Park, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10AM Saturday. Mrs. Rembert now lies in state in the Chapel of the Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed after 12Noon today. Mrs. Antee Rembert was born March 22, 1902 in Sweet Water, Alabama, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John and Ella (Cross) Avery. She was a faithful member of Christian Life Learning Center. She leaves to cherish her memory: 5 daughters, Rev. Ella (John) Thompson, Pearl Erby, Deloise (LeRoy) Culpepper, and Ann Exton, all of Cleveland, OH, and Rosia Adams of Flint; 3 sons, Johnnie (Della) and Curtis (Julia) Rembert, both of Cleveland, OH, and J.T. Rembert of Grand Rapids, MI; 63 grandchildren; 116 great grandchildren; 103 great great grandchildren; 3 great great great grandchildren; niece, Evie Lee Glover of Los Angeles, CA; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends Rufus and Francis Duncan; Mrs. Rembert was preceded in death by her son, LeRoy Rembert; parents; sister, Emma Glover; brother, John Avery. The family wishes to express special thanks to the Genesys Regional Medical Center-Health Park nurses on the 2nd floor, Christian Life Learning Center and Harris Memorial Church of God in Christ families.
