URECHE, Harold W. (Bud) Sr.,-

Age 64, of Mt. Morris, died Wednesday, February 17, 1999 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 1PM Saturday, February 20, 1999 at Reigle Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, G-5501 W. Pierson Rd. Chaplin Donald W. Smith officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home. An American Legion service will be held 7PM this evening followed by a Masonic Service under the auspices of Mt. Morris Lodge No. 535 F. & A. M. at 7:30PM. Family will receive friends at the funeral home noon to 9PM this evening and from 9AM until the time of service on Saturday. Mr. Ureche was born in Flint on December 12, 1934. He lived in Flint and Mt. Morris his entire life. Mr. Ureche married Jane E. Huffman on November 28, 1953 in Flint, MI. He was employed at Chevrolet Manufacturing for 37 years retiring in 1990. Bud served in the U.S. Navy from 1953 to 1957. He was also very active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, earning the Silver Beaver Award. Mr. Ureche was also a member of Mt. Morris Lodge No. 535 F&A.M. and Neeley- Labar American Legion Post #158 in Clio. Surviving are: wife, Jane E. Ureche of Mt. Morris; son, Dennis L. Ureche (Diane Miller) of McFarland, WI; son, Harold W. Ureche Jr. of Flint, son, Douglas L. Ureche (fiancee Robin Davidson) of Lorain, OH, son, Brian K. Ureche (Mary Beth Ureche) of Flushing; granddaughter, Kelly L. Miller of McFarland, WI; grandson, Adam R. Ureche of Lorain, OH, and granddaughter, Jennifer L. Ureche of Flushing; brother, Arthur Ureche (Juanita) of Grand Blanc; step- brother, Gerald Holden (Jean) of New Berlin, WI; 3 brothers-in-laws, James Huffman (Adell), Glen Huffman (Erma) and Dale Huffman (Judy) and sister-in-law, Althea Huffman, and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Ureche was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas C. and Vera Ureche; sister, Geraldine Westphal; brother, Thomas C. Ureche Jr.; grandson, Kevin R. Ureche; brothers-in-law, Samuel Huffman and Herbert Huffman. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Age 73, died Monday, February 1, 1999 at Fenton Extended Care.

RUSSELL, Mr. J.C.

- Age 68, died Thursday, February 11, 1999 at Genesys Health Park. Family hour 7-8PM Friday, February 19, 1999 from the Chapel of the Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. Funeral service 2PM Saturday, February 20, 1999, from the Chapel of the funeral home. Rev. Raleigh Ford officiating. Interment River Rest cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Road. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30PM Saturday. Mr. Russell now lies in state in the Chapel of the funeral home, and may be viewed after 12Noon today. Mr. J.C. Russell was born October 20, 1930 in Vicksburg, Mississippi, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison and Josephine (Eatman) Russell. He retired from Buick, a division of General Motors Corporation, and was a member of UAW Local 599. Mr. Russell enjoyed fishing, and playing cards. He leaves to cherish his memory: 4 sons, Charles (Bertha) Davenport of Vicksburg, MS, Gregory Wooten, D'Mitri and Corey Russell, all of Flint; 9 grandchildren, Sequoria and Crystal Wooten, Quantis and Ishmeal Coulter, Da'Anre Bell, Aishia Thomas, Anthony, Cleavonn and Sheena Davenport; 2 nieces, Josephine Payne and special niece, Carrie Stewart; special cousins, James Bryant, Willie, and J.W. Holden, Annie Bell White, Lucy Bingham, Lillie, Tracey, Robin, and Elijah Stewart, Tyson Willis, Brittanie Coleman and Bria Robertson; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends Osie Walton, Henry Lawson, Thomas Scott and Albert Minor. Mr. Russell was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine Eatman, 1989; brother, Robert Payne, 1992; nephew, Robert Payne, Jr. 1988; aunts, Annie Bell Lation, 1989, Beatrice Holden, 1994, and Lena Carson; cousins, Leonard, 1988 and Frank Stewart, 1979.

BATSON, Mr. Ronald Curtis

- Age 17, died Wednesday, February 17, 1999 at Hurley Medical Center.

WETENHALL, Myrtle E.

- Of Curran, formerly of Flint, age 88, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 1999 in Corunna. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10AM Saturday, February 20, 1999 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11824 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, Rev. Fr. Leroy White officiating. Entombment at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation from 11AM-3PM and 5-9PM today at the Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, where a rosary will be prayed at 7:30PM this evening. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Mrs. Wetenhall was born in Saginaw, MI on August 20, 1910, the daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth (Kehoe) Sherwood. Myrtle married Cornelius G. Wetenhall on January 11, 1930. She attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mio. Mrs. Wetenhall was a Matron for Mott Children's Health Center. Surviving are: her husband, Cornelius; 2 children, Elizabeth Johnson of Flint, Thomas and wife Lila Wetenhall of Oscoda; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Leo Sherwood of Mt. Morris; sister, Pauline Edwards of Durand; sister-in-law, Lucille Sherwood of Durand; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, William, daughter, Sandy, granddaughter, Connie, 2 grandsons, Don and Dave; great-grandson, Joshua and great-great-granddaughter, Samantha, 2 brothers, Tom and Dan. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Mohlman and the staff of Owosso Hospice for their loving care and concern.

WHITMAN, Frederick A.

- Of Saugatuck, MI, died Monday, February 15, 1999 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 2PM Saturday, February 20, 1999 at Whipple- O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Rev. Z. Steven Sutto officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1-9PM and Saturday from noon until the time of service. Frederick was born January 19, 1940 in Flint, MI, the son of Ernest and Alice Whitman. He had resided in the Saugatuck area the past 5 years coming from West Bloomfield. He taught at Mt. Morris Schools as band and orchestra director for 8 years and was employed with Messa Insurance Company for 25 years. Frederick was the First President of the Mt. Morris Teachers Association and was a MSU Alumni. Surviving are: mother, Alice Whitman, formerly of Clio, now of Naples, FL; uncle Dixie and aunt Louise Peterson of Alpena, MI; several cousins. Frederick was preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Ernest Lee Whitman and David Haven Whitman.

- Of Birch Run, passed away Thursday, June 3, 1999 at Oakwood Hospital, Dearborn, MI, age 68. Arrangements to be announced later.

KENNY, Catherine

- Age 90, died Wednesday, June 2, 1999 at Fostrian Manor. Arrangements to be announced later.

HARRINGTON, Mr. Lawrence

Age 16, died Sunday, January 31, 1999 at Hurley Medical Center.

KELLER, Sandra

- Of Flushing, age 56, died Wednesday, February 3, 1999 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

DRAHEIM, Sylvia May

- Age 92, of Flint, died Thursday, June 3, 1999 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11AM Monday, June 7, 1999 at Grace Lutheran Church, 2526 Corunna Rd., Flint. Pastor Walter J. Oelhafen officiating. Burial in Bristol cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-5 and 7-9PM Saturday, 1-5 and 7-9PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make contributions to the Grace Lutheran Church Organ Fund. Sylvia was born June 15, 1906 in Flint, the daughter of George and Jessie Mae (Clark) Peterson. She married Herbert T. Draheim who preceded her in death in 1972. Mrs. Draheim was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Surviving are: 4 sons, Theodore and wife Donna of Indian River, Robert and wife Juanita of Flint and Florida, Herbert and wife Janeen of Flint, Leo and wife Sharon of Durand and Florida; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren.

HARRIS, Donald J.

- Of Clio, age 82, died Wednesday, June 2, 1999 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, June 7, 1999 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mt. Morris, Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating with burial in Calvary cemetery, Mt. Morris. Friends may call at the Whipple-O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Saturday from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m and Sunday from 2-8 p.m. with a Rosary Service being held at 7 p.m.

BURLINGAME, Esther M. (Maxine)

- Of Flint, age 79, died Wednesday, June 2, 1999 at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 11AM Saturday, June 5, 1999 at the East Flint Church of the Nazarene, 3515 North Belsay Road in Flint, Pastor Daryl L. Blank officiating. Burial in Fairview cemetery in Linden. Those desiring may make contributions to the East Flint Church of the Nazarene. Visitation 11AM-3PM and 5-9PM Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Mrs. Burlingame will be at the church from 10AM until the time of the service on Saturday. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on April 11, 1920 and married Arthur Burlingame on January 31, 1942 in Flint. She was a member of East Flint Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards. Mrs. Burlingame was a registered nurse for Dr. L. Michael and retired from McLaren Regional Medical Center. Surviving are her husband, Arthur; daughter, Deborah and husband John Moore of Flint; grandchildren, Lisa and husband Josh Sytek of Davison, Steve Atwell of Davison, Christopher, Amy and Elisabeth Atwell of Flint, Erin and Mallori Malloch of Tualatin, Oregon; great-grandchildren, Allison Sytek, Markus Atwell, Alexander Shaw, Montana Atwell and Evan Atwell. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Renee Malloch; and brother, Maurice Talbot.

HOGLE, Max H.

- Of Flint, age 88, died Wednesday, June 2, 1999 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 1PM Monday, June 7, 1999 at Heritage Baptist Church, Dr. Carl Petty officiating. Burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2-9PM Saturday and Sunday at Rossell Funeral Home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Baptist Church. Mr. Hogle was born in Mundy Twp., MI, June 19, 1910, the son of John D. and Wilda (Rice) Hogle. He married Alvira Fettes in Flint June 6, 1931. She preceded him in death September 19, 1988. Mr. Hogle was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. He had worked in Quality Control for Buick Motor Division for 38.4 years, retiring in 1974. Surviving are: 2 sons, Richard W. Hogle of Ocala, FL, J. Michael and wife Sharlee Hogle of Flushing; daughter, Delores J. and husband Benjamin Morris of Bolivar, MO; 11 grandchildren; several great- grandchildren; 2 sisters, Georgia Wood of Flint, Jacqueline Warfield of Eaton Rapids, MI. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Hogle and a daughter, Betty Ann.
