Age 76, of Fenton, died Thursday, June 3, 1999 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral service will be held at 1 PM Monday, June 7, 1999 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Fenton, Rev. Dean Dumbrille officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, 7-9 PM Saturday and 4-7 PM Sunday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.

KELLY, Donna G.

Age 70, of Madison Heights, died Friday, June 4, 1999 at Intensiva Hospital. Complete fureral arrangements will be announced.

FOUST, Joan Carole

- Age 60, of Fenton, died Tuesday, June 1, 1999 at St. Joseph Hospital, Ann Arbor. Funeral services were held 11AM today.

GUOAN, John F.

- Of Port Richey, Florida, formerly of Flint, died Thursday, May 27, 1999 in Florida. Cremation has taken place. Mr. Guoan was born in Flint on June 21, 1919 and was employed with the Flint School Board until moving to New York following the death of his wife, Jean in 1961. He worked as a boilermaker there until his retirement when he and his wife Marie moved to Florida. He was in the U.S. Navy for 6 years and was serving aboard the battleship Oklahoma at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. He is survived by: his wife, Marie; 4 daughters, Myrna Kozlowski and Susan DeRosa both of Merritt Island, Florida, Donna Fraissinet of Nutley, NJ, and Mary Petricone of Oxnard, CA; and 3 grandchildren.

VAN CURA, Joe

- Of Davison, age 89, died Thursday, June 3, 1999 at Genesys Convalescent Center, Grand Blanc. Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Monday, June 7, 1999 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd. Rev. Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. Burial at Meadowview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Van Cura will lie in state at the funeral home where the family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 6-9 PM on both Saturday and Sunday, and on Monday from 1 PM until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Mr. Van Cura was the son of Agnes and Frank Van Cura and resided in the Davison area most of his life. In 1933, Joe married Helen Velat in Brown City. Mr. Van Cura was a farmer all of his life, retiring in 1970. He is survived by: wife, Helen; 7 children, Marjorie (Jerry) Boismier of Davison, Joyce Payne of Davison, Helen (Ted) Ebel of Burton, Joseph Van Cura of Columbiaville, Robert (Ann) Van Cura of North Branch, Ron (Julie) Van Cura of Fenton, Karen (Paul) Trainor of Grand Blanc; 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; brother, Frank (Mary) Van Cura; sister-in-law, Mildred Van Cura; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother, Henry Van Cura; son-in-law, Fred Payne; grandson, Andrew Van Cura.

VINSON, Glenn E.

- Age 54, of New Port Richey, FL died Sunday, May 30, 1999. He was born in Detroit, MI, he moved from Flint, 5 months ago. He was a fork lift driver for General Motors, Chevrolet Truck and Bus Division, Flint, MI. He was a Christian, and a member of Retired UAW Local #598, Flint. He is survived by: his wife, Gail; daughters, Terry-Ann Vinson-Scott, and Carrie-Jan Vinson, both of New Port Richey, FL; half-brother, Scott Chima, Lennon, MI; uncles and aunts, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Baker and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Baker; and his in- laws who loved Glenn like their own, father and mother, Orvil and Barb Tarrants; sisters and brothers, Carole Tarrants-Nelson, Jerry Tarrants, and Janet Tarrants-Goldie; mother-in-law, Angela DeShano; step 1/2 brothers and sister-in-law, Amy Peacock, Dan Whittaker, Bob Whittaker, and Wes and Doris Whittaker. Glenn was a loving, caring man. We all loved him. The world will be sad without him, but a better place because he was here. Funeral services were held June 2, 1999 at Thomas B. Dobies Funeral Home with burial at Trinity Memorial Gardens, both located in New Port Richey, FL. A Memorial service will be held Sunday, June 13, 1999 at 2PM at First Freewill Baptist Church, G-5458 Fenton Rd., Flint, MI with Rev. Larry Murphy officiating. ARRANGEMENTS BY THOMAS B. HARRIS, Donald J.

- Of Clio, age 82, died Wednesday, June 2, 1999 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, June 7, 1999 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mt. Morris, Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating with burial in Calvary cemetery, Mt. Morris. Friends may call at the Whipple-O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Saturday from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m and Sunday from 2-8 p.m. with a Rosary Service being held at 7 p.m. Donald was born October 29, 1916 in Flint, MI, the son of Timothy and Marcella (Murphy) Harris. He had resided in Clio since 1991, living in the Flint area most of his life. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during WWII. Donald married Suzanne Harris October 25, 1952 in Flint. She preceded him in death June 16, 1995. He was employed with Fisher Body before retiring and attended SS Charles and Helena Catholic Church, the Clio Senior Citizens and the YMCA. Surviving are: sons, James and wife Sandra Harris of Clio, Ronald and wife Lee Harris of CA, Lyle and wife Anne Harris of Oregon; daughter, Diane Dover of Montrose; grandchildren, Jennifer Harris Murphy, Meredith Harris and Lisa Dover; brother, James and wife Virginia Harris of Flushing; sister, Catherine Conroy of New Mexico. Donald was also preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Stuart Harris and Dan Devereaux.

HILL, Barbara E.

- Of Clio, age 73, died Wednesday, June 2, 1999 at Genesys Health Park. Private service and burial will take place at a later date at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Burial in Crestwood cemetery. Visitation 11AM-9PM Saturday at the funeral home. Barbara was born in Saginaw, Michigan on February 10, 1926. Special thanks to Martha, my dear friend, and all my friends from Clio Convalescent Center for all my years of health, especially to Janet Elgood (Nurse Practitioner).

DODGE, Elizabeth A. "Betty"

- Age 76, of Anchorage, Alaska, formerly of Holly died Monday, May 31, 1999. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Monday, June 7, 1999 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9PM Sunday. Mrs. Dodge was born in Flint on January 21, 1923, the daughter of William and Eva (Curtis) Lindsay. Her late husband Eldon Dodge owned the State Farm Insurance Agency in Holly for 35 years. Surviving are: 1 daughter, Gale (Victor) Lake of Linden; 1 son, Gary Saupe of Anchorage, AK; brother, Richard (Diane) Lindsay of Byron; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon; sister, Aerial Smith; and brother, William. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

NICKEL, Roy V.

- Of Flushing, age 83, died Wednesday, June 2, 1999 at Genesys Hospice Care Center, Goodrich. Funeral services will be held 10AM Saturday, June 5, 1999 at Rossell Funeral Home, Rev. Martin Ankrum officiating. Burial will follow at Flushing cemetery. Visitation will be 12-4PM and 6-9PM Friday. A memorial service under the auspices of Flushing Masonic Lodge #223 will be held 7PM Friday. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Genesys Hospice or Flushing Presbyterian Church. Mr. Nickel was born in Bay City, MI, October 8, 1915, the son of Carl and Elizabeth (Perior) Nickel. He married Ruth V. Hunt on October 30, 1937; she preceded him in death May 29, 1998. Roy was a 32nd Degree Mason and belonged to the Flushing Masonic Lodge #223 and the Masonic Consistory. He had worked in construction as a Supervisor for 51 years. Surviving are: sons, Douglas and wife Colleen Nickel of Flushing, Gary and wife Annette Nickel of Flushing; daughter, Debra Davison of Flushing and special friend, Gary K. Sanborn of Flushing; 9 grandchildren, Michele Nickel and fiance' Chris Frasz of Boyne City, Julie Nickel and friend Shawn Murphy of Birmingham, Angela and Guy Busch of Atlanta, GA, Chris Nickel and friend Andra Cargill of Flushing, Greg Nickel and Leanna Blankenship of Flushing, Sara Nickel of Greenville, SC, Ashley Davison, Todd Davison and Julia Boss, all of Flushing; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ronald and Judy Frasier of Flushing, Jerry and Connie Hunt of Tawas, Mary Feller of National City, Patricia Brooks of Brighton and Louise Schlegelmilch of Flint; many very dear and wonderful friends; and special friend, Mary Davis. Roy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.

PERREAULT, David Alan

- Age 46, was called by our Lord on Friday, May 21, 1999 with family at his side. David succumbed to a tumor at the base of his brain. He attended Grand Blanc High School. He is survived by: his mother, Jacqueline Perreault of Alpine, CA; father, William Perreault of St. David, AZ; older sister, Diane Sherman LPN in Alpine, CA; younger sister, Debbie Ferreira, teacher in Tucson, AZ; younger brother, Doug Perreault, Business Owner in St. David, AZ; niece and nephew, Billy and Malia Ferreira of Tucson, AZ; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. David had a passion and joy of life, played a great guitar, and will be greatly missed by all.

PERRY, James Daniel

- Age 67, of Mt. Morris, died Wednesday, June 2, 1999 at home. Cremation has taken place. James was born June 28, 1931 in Bay City, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold W. and Bertha M. (Hardy) Perry. James served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War Era from 1949-1953. He retired from Fisher Guide-Coldwater Rd. Plant as an oiler. Surviving are: 2 sons, Mitchell James and wife Ellen Perry of Moran, MI, Kurt Richard Perry of Millington; 2 grandchildren, Logan and Hunter Perry; former wife, Dorothy Perry; long time companion, Bev McTaggart. Donations may be considered to the American Cancer Society.

DICK, Ronald

- Of Gladwin, age 68, died Friday, June 4, 1999 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

RETKA, Robert A., Sr.

- Age 65, of Fenton, died Monday, May 31, 1999 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral mass was celebrated 12 Noon today.

BUTLER, Donny D.

- Of Flint, age 43, died Monday, May 31, 1999 at his residence. Funeral service was held at 10:30AM today.
