Wallace officiating. Those desiring may make contributions to Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich or the Fenton United Methodist Church Endowment fund.

LORD, Earl A.

- Age 77, of Henderson, Nevada, died Friday, June 18, 1999 at Harbor House in Las Vegas, NV. A funeral service will be held at 2PM on Wednesday, June 23, 1999 at Brown Funeral Home, 1616 Davison Rd., with Dr. Douglas Gallager officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11AM until the time of service on Wednesday.

MARANOWSKI, Anthony John

- Age 73, of Linden, died Monday, June 21, 1999 at his residence. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM Thursday, June 24, 1999 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Visitation will be held 2- 9PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association.

- Of Burton, age 59, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 1999 at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 10AM Friday, June 25, 1999 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Grant H. Wessel officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation 10AM- 12PM and 5-9PM Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held at 1PM Saturday, June 26, 1999 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Martin Goode officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Those desiring may make contributions to the family. Visitation 5-9PM Thursday and 2PM- 9PM Friday at the funeral home.

HOLTZMANN, Harrison Nelson "Sandy"

- Age 76, of Fenton, died Thursday, June 24, 1999 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 2:30PM Saturday, June 26, 1999 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Rev. Fr. David Harvey officiating. Visitation will be held 2-9PM Friday and 11AM until the time of the funeral Saturday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the VFW National Home. Sandy was born November 4, 1922 in Detroit, the son of Harrison N. Holtzmann, Sr. and Esther (Haist) Holtzmann. He had resided in Fenton the past 11 years, coming from Southfield. He was a graduate of Ortonville High School in 1941 and a Veteran of WW II, serving in the U. S. Army. He married Theresa M. Feskorn on September 14, 1946 in Detroit. He was an operating engineer and a member of Local 324. He was also a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Fenton VFW Post and the Cooties. Surviving are: wife, Theresa; 6 children, Linda and John O'Connor of Hartland, Patrick and Pamela Holtzmann of Chicago, Charles and Christine Holtzmann of Waterford, Thomas and Rebecca Holtzmann of Brighton, Michael Holtzmann of Chicago, Anne Marie Holtzmann of Novi; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Eleanor Fleece of Troy, Delores and Edwin Ulshafer of Davison; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

HUGHES, Mr. Morris

- Age 71, died Tuesday, June 22, 1999 at his residence. Family hour 1:30PM Monday, June 28, 1999 from the Chapel of the Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2PM. Min. Lance Forshay officiating. Interment Lovedale Memorial cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30PM Monday. Mr. Hughes will lie in state in the Chapel of the funeral home and may be viewed after 10AM Sunday.

WESTPHAL, Charlotte E.

- Age 60, of Perry, died Friday, June 25, 1999 at Memorial Health Care in Owosso. Private services will be held with cremation following. Charlotte was born July 20, 1938 in Flint the daughter of Roy E. and Pearl L. (Trowbridge) Westphal. She had resided in Perry most of her life. Surviving are: mother, Pearl L. Westphal; sister, Dorothy and husband Frances J. Sopko of Florida; several nieces and nephews; and her caregivers and friends at the Perry Group Home. She was preceded in death by her father Roy in 1972.

AVERY, Mrs. Opal Delores Teverbaugh

- She was born in Chicago, IL on March 29, 1928. Her spirit departed and ascended to the house of the Lord, Tuesday, June 22, 1999 for her blessed peace and eternal rest in Kansas City, MO. Mrs. Avery was formerly of Flint, MI. Opal was preceded in earthly departure by her mother Helen McCavock; son, Eric; father, Otho Teverbaugh, Sr.; grandson, Aaron; brothers, Otho Teverbaugh, Jr., Thomas Wickcliffe. Opal was a faithful member of the Morning Star Baptist Church of Kansas City, MO until her illness. Opal is survived by: a loving family including beloved husband, Russell E. Avery; sisters, Phyllis (Paul) Anderson, Elizabeth Vorpayel; children, Saunders Samuels, Sharon (Prince) Barron, Bonnie (Paul) Simpson, Paige (Daryel) Hughes, Leon (Rochelle) Bradley, Jr., China Bradley, Camille (St.Clair) Griffith, Russell Avery, Jr., Sheila Avery, Terrace Avery and John D. Deloach, Jr.; 30 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters-in- law; and a host of loving relatives and friends. Services will be held at 11AM Monday, June 28th at the Morning Star Baptist Church. Interment in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call on Monday after 10AM at the church.

OSTRANDER, Wanda

- Of Flint, Michigan, age 82, died June 24, 1999 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 28, 1999 from Brown Funeral Home, 1616 Davison Rd., Flint, Kitty Throop officiating. Interment at Thetford cemetery. Contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Flint. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Wanda was born June 17, 1917 in Flint, Michigan. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Flint. Surviving by children: Mary Jane (Robert) Hague of Traverse City, Carol (David) Ostrander of Grand Blanc; grandchildren, R. Daniel Hague, Kathryn (Robert) Shales, Michael (Julie) Throop, Teresa (Jonathan) Rix, Jayne (Charles Scott) Berklich, Susan Throop; great-grandchildren, Charles Berklich, Elizabeth Berklich, Westley Throop, Zachary Throop, Charles Rix, Johnny Rix; sister, Shirley Renshaw. Preceded in death by husband, Wesley Ostrander in October 1983 and brothers, Doyle Roat and Lyle Roat.
