REEDER, John W.

- Age 83, formerly of Carmel and Franklin Indiana, died Sunday, June 20, 1999 at Genesys Hospice in Goodrich, Michigan. There will not be a service in Michigan, but there will be a reception for family and friends on Tuesday, June 29, 1999 from 6-8 PM at the First Presbyterian Church, Fenton. A Memorial service was held 2 PM Friday, June 25, 1999 at the United Methodist Church of Arcola, Illinois. Interment was in Cartwright cemetery in rural Tuscola. A reception for family and friends followed the interment service at the Lake Fork Church in rural Atwood. Mr. Reeder was born in Atwood, Illinois on April 13, 1916, the son of Vern and Pearl (Horton) Reeder. He was the former founder and owner of Reeder & Kline Machine Co. Inc. of Carmel, Indiana and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fenton, MI. Surviving are: 2 daughters, Linda (Richard) Shedd of Flint, Kathy Anderson of Fenton; 5 grandchildren, Rich Shedd of Flint, Lisa Shedd of Lansing, Becky Shedd of Flint, Kristen Anderson of Grand Blanc, Lindsay Anderson of Fenton; 2 brothers, Ross (Monda) Reeder and Robert (Marguerite) Reeder, both of Atwood, Illinois; sister, Betty (James) Shaw of Colville, WA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Freda, sister, Marjorie Blain. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Fenton, MI.

BRAND, Margaret Elizabeth

- Age 90, died Thursday, June 24, 1999 at her residence. Memorial services will be held 3:30PM Saturday, June 26, 1999 from the Floral Chapel of the Dodds-Dumanois Funeral Home, Rev. Kenneth Tousley will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Final Interment in Fort Plain, New York. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:30PM Saturday until the time of the service. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to McLaren Hospice. Margaret Elizabeth Brand was born June 9, 1909 in Fort Plain, NY and came to Flint in 1926. She graduated from Flint Central High School in 1927 and worked as a Flint Deputy Register of Deeds and later worked at Guaranty Title Company of Flint for 30 years. She is survived by: a sister, Louise Kilmartin of Albany, NY; several nieces and nephews, including a very special niece and Caregiver, Margaret Derthick; and dear friend of 64 years, Eleanor Allen of Flint. She was preceded in death by brothers, Donald, Robert, Archibald, and Harold Brand; and sisters, Pauline Hilda, Madolin, Mary and Dorothy.

DASHNER, Dorothy I.

- Of Flint, age 78, died Thursday, June 24, 1999 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral service will be held at 2PM Monday, June 28, 1999 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Max Morrow officiating. Burial in Crestwood cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association. Visitation 12PM-9PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Dashner was born in Great Falls, South Carolina on September 4, 1920 and was a resident of Flint for the past 38 years, having come from Kingsport, Tennessee. Surviving are 2 daughters, Regina and husband Michael Salava of Owosso, Ann and husband Jimmy Beggs of Flint; 6 grandchildren, Andrea, Vinceanna, Freddie, Bobbie Jo, Hope and Jacob and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Dashner and son, Bobby Lloyd. A special thanks to her Barrie Avenue neighbors and niece, Janyce Vanover.

HARDY, Mr. Clarence E.

- Age 60, died Tuesday, June 29, 1999 at Genesys Regional Medical Center- Health Park.

GIBBONS, E. Gaylord D.D.S.

- Age 93, of Swartz Creek, died Sunday, June 6, 1999 at his residence. Funeral Mass was celebrated 10AM today.

VAN CURA, Joseph

- Of Davison, age 89, died Thursday, June 3, 1999 at Genesys Convalescent Center. Complete arrangements will be announced later.

GILTINAN, Vivian M.

- Of Flushing, age 81, died Tuesday, June 29, 1999 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

GATTI, Julia Jane

- Of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Flint, MI, died Wednesday, June 16, 1999. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 30, 1999 at 6:30PM at Brown Funeral Home, Hill Road Chapel, Pastor Wayne H. Wentzel officiating. Family will receive visitors from 5:30PM until the time of service Wednesday. Julia was born January 20, 1931 in Gallatin, TN. She was the former owner of Gatti Group Homes-Flint, a former board member of Genesee County Community Mental Health, co-founder and first president of Adult Foster Care Providers of Genesee County, member of Michigan Residential Care Association, a member of the Advisory Board of Mott Community College Gerontology Program, active in lobbying in Lansing for persons with mental illness and a mentor to other adult foster care providers in Genesee County. Surviving are: husband, Salvatore of Phoenix; 4 children, Ronald L. (Kathy) McCollum of Dorr, MI, Robert M. (Cynthia) McCollum of Grand Blanc, MI, Sue (David) Frome of Phoenix, AZ, Barbara (Randy) Theisen of Scottsdale, AZ; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; nieces and nephews. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014-5699.

FARRIER, Alma (White)

Age 81 of Montrose died Monday, June 28, 1999 at Montrose Nursing Home. Funeral will be held at Miles Martin Funeral Home at 1 PM Wednesday, June 30, 1999. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 PM to 9 PM. Burial in Loud Township. Alma was born in Sterling, MI., November 8, 1917, the daughter of Millard and Lena (Beecham) White. Alma was a devoted mother and wife, she enjoyed fishing, and ran a beauty shop in Beecher. Survivors include: son, Virgil and Kathryn Dimond of Montrose; daughter, Sandra and Albert Nemitz of Grand Blanc; 4 sisters; 13 grandchildren; 30 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Dean, brother and an sister.

ZIETLOW, Richard E.

- Of Lapeer, age 74, died Saturday, June 26, 1999 at the residence. Funeral Services will be held 11AM Wednesday, June 30, 1999 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 706 W. Flint St., Pastor Randall P. Schultz officiating. Burial at Dawn Memorial cemetery. Mr. Zietlow will lie in state at the Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd. where the family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 6-9PM Tuesday. Mr. Zietlow will lie in state at the church on Wednesday from 10AM until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund or Genesys Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

ZEHNDER, Marion M.

- Of Frankenmuth, died unexpectedly Saturday, June 26, 1999 at her home, age 66 years. Funeral service will take place 10:30AM Wednesday at the Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth and 11AM at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, Rev. Dale C. Ahlschwede will officiate with burial in St. Lorenz cemetery. Friends may call at the Cederberg Funeral Home, 525 W. Tuscola today where the family will be present from 2- 9PM and Wednesday 9:30AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to Mental Illness Research Association, St. Lorenz Stephen Ministry or Haiti Lutheran Ministry and Mission Foundation.

WREGE, John O.

- Of Clio, age 75, died Sunday, June 27, 1999, at his residence in Clio. Funeral services will be held 11AM, Wednesday, June 30, 1999 at the Whipple- O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Mr. Wrege's son in law, Pastor Terry Talbert will officiate. Burial will take place in Almer cemetery in Caro. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the "Activities Dept. " of the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility or the Clio Assembly of God. Envelopes available at the funeral home.

RICHARDSON, Vivian B.

- Age 83, of Durand, formerly of Flint, died Tuesday, June 22, 1999 at Durand Convalescent Center after a lengthy illness. Memorial services will be held 2PM Saturday, June 26, 1999 at the Salvation Army, 725 Wright St., Cadillac, MI. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery, Manton, MI. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Salvation Army or the Michigan Parkinson's Disease Association, in care of Sharp Funeral Homes, P.O. Box 69, Swartz Creek, MI 48473.

PYSCHER, Frank E.

- Of Flint, age 84, died Wednesday, June 23, 1999 at Intensiva Hospital of Flint. Funeral service will be held at 12Noon Saturday, June 26, 1999 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Don Stowell officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Those desiring may make contributions to First Christian Church of Flushing.
