Walker, Clara Belle
Azalia, MI

Age 75, died December 16, 2006 at home with her loving family by her side. Friends may call at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home in Milan on Tuesday from 2-5 and 7-9pm where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11-00am. Burial will follow in Azalia cemetery, Azalia, Michigan. She was born September 7, 1931 in Ypsilanti to Carl and Lillian (Rogers) Bruckner. On January 17, 1953 she married Fred Walker and he survives. Survivors also include her two daughters; Cathy (Kris) DeLaney of Avon Park, Florida and Clara Belle (Leonard) Ostrander of Azalia, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Clara Belle was a 1949 graduate of Milan High School and while in high school also studied music under Leo Podoski in Detroit. She then attended Sherwood School of Music in Chicago until 1951 and graduated from the University of Michigan in 1954. Mrs. Walker taught piano and organ lessons in her home for over forty years and was the choir & music director at London United Methodist Church. In addition to helping her husband farm for over 54 years she also was a member of the Azalia United Methodist Church. Those desiring may make contributions to the Azalia or London United Methodist Church.

Workman Sr., Harold E.
Ypsilanti, MI

Age 59, went to the Lord Tuesday, December 5, 2006 with his family by his side after a short battle with cancer. He was born May 24, 1947 in Logan, WV, the son of Ruth (Acord) and the late Thurman Workman. He was married to Sharon Kay (Bowman) Workman. Harold worked for Ford Motor Company for over 30 years, retiring in 1998. After his retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his sidekick, Brandy, to Virginia regularly to pursue a hobby of painting automobiles and tractor trailers for his cousin J.D. Harold also drove school bus for Van Buren Public Schools and Indian Trail Ways Tour Buses. In days past, you could always count on Dad being outside washing his truck in the yard, mowing grass or just sitting at his picnic table under the maple tree drinking a cup of cold coffee waving at friends as they drove by. Harold is survived by- his wife, Kay; two sons, Harold E. (Allison) Workman Jr. of Romulus and Jason M. (Lori) Workman of Monroe; one grandson, Harold E. “Wild Cat” Workman III; his mother, Ruth Workman of Oceana, WV; one brother, Kenneth D. (Phyllis) Workman of Ypsilanti; his aunt, Helen Burse of Ypsilanti; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral service will be 2-00 P.M. Friday, December 8, 2006 at STARK FUNERAL SERVICE Moore Memorial Chapel with Pastor Joe Jones of West Wayne Free Will Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Highland cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 2-4 & 6-9 P.M. Thursday.

Betts, Jean Roberta
Ypsilanti, MI

Age 67, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at home. She was born January 18, 1940 in Baltimore, MD. Survivors include- her husband, Lorenzo Betts Jr. of Ypsilanti; three sons, Jonathan Saffold of Ypsilanti, Christopher Betts of GA and Shawn Betts of Ypsilanti; one daughter, Angelique Betts of Ypsilanti; five grandchildren; goddaughter, Tammi (Gary) Herndon of Ypsilanti; special sisters, Hanan Barrett of NC, Saline Jones of Monroe and Geraldine Jones of Ypsilanti; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson. Per her request, no services are being held. Arrangements handled through Stark Funeral Service Moore Memorial Chapel.

Bird, Christine M.
Ypsilanti, MI
Age 44, went to be with her Lord Friday, November 9, 2007 surrounded by her family. She was born April 3, 1963 in Detroit, the daughter of John R. and Rosa (Gibson) Bird. She was a 1981 graduate of Belleville High School. She served honorably in the U.S. Air Force from 1985-89. She graduated with a B.S. in International Studies from EMU in 1993. She was the secretary at the Apostolic Faith Church (Pine View Church of the Apostolic Faith) in Ypsilanti for seventeen years. For the past four years, she has been an executive assistant at Optimetrics Inc. in Ann Arbor. She was an active member of Pine View Church of the Apostolic Faith, where she tirelessly served the handicapped and underprivileged of the Ypsilanti community. She will always be remembered for her giving spirit. Survivors include- her parents of Ypsilanti; one son, Anthony; two sisters, Laura (Michael) Clark of Chelsea and Beth (Jeff) Bracey of Ypsilanti; five nieces and nephews, John and Jennifer Clark, Alison, Marissa and Adam Bracey; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The funeral service will be 11-00 am Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Pine View Church of the Apostolic Faith, 6400 Textile Road, Ypsilanti. Burial will follow in Washtenong Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the family for Anthony's educational fund. The visitation will be 2-4 & 6-9 pm Monday at Stark Funeral Service Moore Memorial Chapel.

Gulley, Ruth M.
Ypsilanti Township, MI

Age 77, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2007. She was born May 24, 1930 in Rose Hill, VA, the daughter of Henry Morgan and Mossie L. J. (Johnson) Speak. On July 23, 1949, she married John Doyle Gulley and he preceded her in death August 27, 2001. Survivors include - one brother, Arvil (Joyce) Speak; five sisters, Cleo (Mannie) Treece, Elsie Baldauf, Loretta Gordiner, Mary (Bill) Oaks and Judy (Neal) Smallwood; and several nieces and nephews, including Larry Gulley, Doug Speaks, Matthew Speaks and Eden Speaks. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl and Bud Speak and one sister, Beulah Speaks. The funeral service will be 11 -00 am Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Stark Funeral Service Moore Memorial Chapel. Entombment will follow in Washtenong Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5-8pm Friday.

Hall, Timmie G.
Ypsilanti Township, MI

Age 59, passed away suddenly Sunday, October 21, 2007 at home. He was born June 22, 1948 in Ypsilanti, the son of Woodrow and Juanita (Woodard) Hall. On December 15, 2000 he married Carol McKenzie in Toledo, Ohio and she survives. Timmie was the owner of “The Shop Inc., ” an automotive paint shop in Ypsilanti, for seven years. He loved to ride his motorcycle and he loved his Indian art interests. In addition to his loving wife, Carol, survivors include - one daughter, Sara Hall of Roscommon, MI; twin sons, Cody (Mandy) and Kyle Hall, both of Ypsilanti; one stepdaughter, Shawna McKenzie of Ypsilanti; five grandchildren, Dylan, Tyler, Bryce, Desire and Seth; and his mother, Juanita Hall of Ypsilanti. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister. The funeral service will be 2 -00 pm Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at Stark Funeral Service Moore Memorial Chapel with Pastor Larry Anderson of Victorious Life Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in Alban cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in Timmie’s memory. Envelopes are available at the funeral home where the family will receive friends 4-9 pm Tuesday.

Hartsoe, Sherry M.
Ypsilanti Township, MI
Age 51, passed away Friday, November 9, 2007 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. She was born May 5, 1956 in Ann Arbor, the daughter of Henry and Juanita (Gibson) Collins. Sherry was employed by General Motors Powertrain for thirty years, retiring in 2006. Through her extensive training at General Motors, she tutored and mentored many people that followed her. She loved to barbeque and spend time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include- two children, Sherrae (Jerry) Lawson and Paul (Jackie) Roberts; four grandchildren, Deserrae, Shania, Jerry and Kailee; one sister, Florence Ashley; one brother, Henry Collins; and host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. The memorial service will be 1-00 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at the Stark Funeral Service Moore Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 12-00 noon until hour of service. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Hill Jr., Jesse
Ypsilanti, MI

Age 78, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2007. Survivors include- one daughter, Jessica; one sister, Vivian Chisolm and her husband, Albert Chisolm, Jesse’s devoted brother-in-law; two brothers, Eddie Hill and Jerry Hill; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Inez Rhoden, Dorothy Frame and Juanita Williams and two brothers, Maurice Hill and Bernard Hill. The funeral service will be 11-00 am Monday, October 22 at Stark Funeral Service Moore Memorial Chapel where visitation will begin at 10-00 am. Rev. Freddie Banks of New Testament Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in United Memorial Gardens.

Kline, Richard G. "Bud"

Age 88, passed away peacefully Monday, October 29, 2007. He was born August 30, 1919 in Detroit, the son of David R. and Helen L. (Jennings) Kline. Bud was employed by the University of MI Maintenance Department for 47 years, retiring in 1984. Survivors include- one sister, Evelyn Wright; three brothers, Bill (Edith) Kline of St. Petersburg, FL, Gordon H. Kline of Adrian and Gordon W. Kline of Ypsilanti; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Isabelle Denton, Mary Weisgerber and Dorothy Mayzes, and two brothers, Norman and James Kline. The funeral service will be 1-30 pm Friday, November 2, 2007 at Stark Funeral Service Moore Memorial Chapel with Pastor Gordon Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Cadillac Memorial Gardens West. The visitation will be 2-4 & 6-9 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

Lentz, Robert “Bob”
Milan, MI
Age 85 died November 08, 2007 at St. Joseph Hospital in Ann Arbor. He was born May 17, 1922 in Milan to James and Agnes Pearl (Allen) Lentz. On April 26, 1947 he married Agnes Baer in Whittaker and she survives. Bob farmed all of his life, worked maintenance and after retirement drove field truck for Chie Contractors. He was a decorated Army veteran from WWII and a member of the Lincoln Community United Methodist Church. Survivors besides his wife include a son Kenneth of Maybee, a daughter Ellen (Kevin) Patton of Belleville and granddaughter Krista Leah Patton. He was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 6 sisters. Visitation will be held at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home, Milan on Sunday from 1-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be held 11-00am Monday at Lincoln Community United Methodist Church where he will lie in state at 10-00am. Burial will follow in Marble Park cemetery, Milan. Linn, Lucy A.
Ypsilanti, MI
(formerly of York, PA)

Age 89, passed away Monday, October 15, 2007 following a brief illness. She was born April 9, 1918 in Friedens, PA, the daughter of Anthony and Vincenza Jeanette (Martino) Antenucci. She was a 1936 graduate of Somerset High School. On April 19, 1942, she married Robert A. Linn and he preceded her in death October 14, 2002. She was a lifetime member of Grace Lutheran Church in York, PA and attended Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Ypsilanti. She was an active member of the Ypsilanti Senior Center on Congress Street. Lucy was known for baking pies and her flower gardens. She was a loving and devoted mother of Andrea Linn of Ypsilanti and Shanna Linn of Chicago, IL. Other survivors include- two brothers, Sam (Evalyn) Antenucci of Hollidaysburg, PA and Mike Antenucci of Easton, PA; four sisters-in-law, Jenny Antenucci, Stella Eismann, Mae Linn and Thelma Linn; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister. The funeral service will be 11-00 am Monday, October 22 at Grace Lutheran Church in York, PA. Burial will take place in Prospect Hill cemetery in York. Contributions in her memory may be made to either the Ypsilanti Senior Center, Grace Lutheran Church in York, PA or any animal rescue organization. Envelopes are available at John W. Myers, Wilburn J.

Age 49, died October 22, 2007 in North Carolina from injuries he sustained in a automobile accident. He was born February 20, 1958 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Wilburn J. and Lova Belle (Russ) Myers. Wilburn was a 1976 graduate of Milan High School and enjoyed watching wrestling.
He is survived by two sisters Kathleen (Jim) Bishop of Shelby, NC and Aliene "Billie" (Jamie) Conroy of Clinton, ten nieces and nephews and nine great-nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother and a brother Wesley.
Visitation will be Friday from 2-8pm at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home, Milan where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11-00am. Burial will follow at Mooreville cemetery. www.ochalekstark.com.

Age 93 died November 6, 2007 at Sunrise of Ann Arbor with her loving family by her side. She was born November 22, 1913 in Northville, Michigan to Oris and Alice (Prouty) Rudduck. On October 4, 1934 she married Buck O'Donnell in Milan and he preceded her in death July 4, 1979. Florence retired from Bassitt's Store in Milan and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She is survived by her children Jean and Carl Hanson of Beaverton, MI, Richard and Barbara O'Donnell of Surprise, AZ, Mary and Harvey Greenleaf of Milan, Joe O'Donnell of Milan, Pat and Barb O'Donnell of Ann Arbor, Denny O'Donnell and Fred Pregil of Honolulu, 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, three brothers Milford (Gwen) Rudduck of Adrian, Harold (Dorothy) Rudduck of Marquette, Roy Rudduck of S. Carolina and a sister Eleanor Auten of Milan. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Jenny Webb, Hazel Shelton, brothers Steve and Paul Rudduck and daughter in-law Caroline O'Donnell. Visitation will be at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home, Milan on Friday from 3-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Milan 11-00am Saturday where she will lie in state from 10-00am until time of service. Rite of Committal will follow at Marble Park cemetery, Milan. Memorial contributions may be made to the Caroline O'Donnell Scholarship Fund. www.ochalekstark.com.
