Hazel Hellman
AURORA, Wis. - Hazel Hellman, 89, of Aurora, Wis., found peace on Wednesday, July 14, 2004, at Florence Villa Nursing Home.
Hazel was born on May 21, 1915, daughter of the late Jack and Mary (Koebler) Johnson.
On Jan. 25, 1935, Hazel married Robert Hellman. He preceded her in death in 1980.
Hazel's love and affection will be missed by her daughter, Donna (Edwin) Weinfurter of Aurora and her three grandchildren, Randy (Michelle) Weinfurter, Terry (Lori) Weinfurter, both of Aurora, and Jody (David) Bigalke of Niagara.
Her love and affection will also be missed by her great-grandchildren, Daniel and Kaitlin, Andrea, Sarah and Adam, Amanda and Ashley and her great-great-grandchildren, MiKayla and Cody; her sister-in-law, Berdine Johnson and all of her very special friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Clifford Johnson; and a sister, Ethel Johnson.
Hazel loved to go golfing, bowling, going to the casinos, her flowers and making afghans.
Hazel touched the hearts of each and every one of us and will continue to live in our hearts forever.
A visitation will be held on Friday from 10 a.m. until noon at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.
Funeral services will be at noon at the funeral home. Rev. David Anderson will officiate.
Burial will be in the Homestead-Aurora cemetery.
The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the funeral arrangements.

William Mashak
IRON MOUNTAIN - William 'Bill' Mashak, 74, of 1301 S. Kimberly Ave., Iron Mountain, died Saturday, July 10, 2004, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
Mr. Mashak was born on Feb. 21, 1930, in Iron Mountain, son of the late Matthew and Ann (Eugate) Mashak.
He married the former Betty Schinderle on June 30, 1951, at American Martyrs Church in Kingsford. She preceded him in death on March 30, 1997.
Bill worked as an iron worker with Union Local 8 for many years retiring in 1985.
He is survived by four sons, Mark (Patti) Mashak of Dansville, lower Michigan, Randy (Illana) Mashak of Columbia, S.C., Keith (Kim) Mashak and Bruce (Dianne) Mashak, both of Kingsford; a daughter Karen (Jamie) Beauchamp of Marquette; 10 grandchildren, Lindsey (Jamie) Richer, Kyle, Krista, Brendan, Brady, Matthew, Brian, Danielle, Trever, Travis, Brett and Alec; one great granddaughter, Abbygayle and his brother, Phillip (Ann) Mashak of Kingsford.
Private family services are being held. Fr. Joseph Gouin will officiate.
Burial will be in cemetery Park.
The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the funeral arrangements.

Vincent Eutizzi
CARY, N.C. - Vincent Eutizzi, 75, of Cary, N.C., formerly of Iron Mountain, died Thursday, July 8, 2004, at Blue Ridge Healthcare in Raleigh, N.C.
Vince was born Aug. 19, 1928, in Iron Mountain, the son of the late Elda and Guido Eutizzi.
After graduating from Iron Mountain High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Following his service in the Navy, he earned a degree at Northern Michigan University and was employed by Coca Cola USA Fountain Division after graduation. He retired in 1986 after 30 years of exceptional service and was named Mr. Coca Cola of Wisconsin.
On April 8, 1961, Vince married the former Doris Johnson of DePere, Wis.
He is survived by his wife, Doris, and their six children, Joy Leamon of Cary, N.C., Connie Knox of West Bend, Wis., Linda Williams of Cary, N.C., John (Sandi) Johnson of Apex, N.C., James (Susan) Eutizzi of Waukesha, Wis. and Julie (Peter) Durand of Cary, N.C., 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13, at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.
Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Fr. Daniel Zaloga will officiate.
Burial will be in cemetery Park.

Donald Fontana
KINGSFORD - Donald Louis Fontana, 77, of Kingsford, died on Thursday, July 8, 2004, at Marquette General Hospital.
Don was born on March 17, 1927, in Iron Mountain.
He went to school in Iron Mountain and Crystal Falls and graduated at mid-semester in 1945 from Iron Mountain High School.
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy the week after graduation and served overseas in the Pacific as the rest of his class had graduation in June.
After the war, Don worked as a salesman for WMIQ in Iron Mountain and WDMJ in Marquette. He spent a few years as a juvenile probation officer before serving as a deputy U.S. marshal for two years.
He managed Chickie's Lanes in Iron Mountain for many years before purchasing the lumberyard in Channing. It was destroyed by fire five years later. He worked for M.J. Electric for almost 30 years as an operator and then as safety director.
Don was a lifetime instructor for OSHA and MSHA (underground) where he trained over 1, 200 people on first aid and CPR.
Don played fast pitch softball for Becco's Market, Spin's Bar and Hosking and Harvey. He was often the highest average hitter and home run leader. One year he batted 500.
He bowled his first 300 game at Chickie's Lanes in 1962 and his second at Recreation Lanes in 1967. Don was the only non-pro bowler invited to the World Invitational Bowling Tournament in the state of Michigan. He was elected to the Tri-Area Bowling Hall of Fame in 2000.
Don was a member of the United Commercial Travelers, American Legion, Sagola Township Sportsman Club, Crystal Falls Golf Club and American Society of Safety Engineers. He also served on the Iron Mountain Police and Fire Commission under Mayor Jack Croci.
He is survived by two daughters, Nancy (Bill) Brisson of Harrison Township, lower Michigan and Susan (Rick) Holland of Iron Mountain; three granddaughters, Shannon (Joe) Tocco of Chesterfield Township, lower Michigan, Rebecca Brisson of Beaverton, Ore. and Kristen (Doug) Kendrick of Escanaba; one grandson, Steven Holland of Iron Mountain and four great-granddaughters, Gina, Josephina, Sophia, and Julia Tocco of Chesterfield Township, lower Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Fontana in 1975 and his mother, Margaret Bollerman in 2003. He was also preceded in death by a seven-month-old brother, John Jr. in 1924 and his brother, William in 2001.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.
Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. on Sunday evening at the funeral home. Rev. David Snyder will officiate.
Burial will be in cemetery Park.

Ruby Lindholm
KINGSFORD - Ruby I. Lindholm, 86, formerly of 918 S. Van Buren St., Kingsford, died Friday, July 2, 2004, at ManorCare Health Care Services.
She was born on April 12, 1918, in Wehutty, N.C., the daughter of the late Robert and Georgia (Prince) Miller.
Ruby married Bernard Lindholm on Sept. 13, 1969, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 13, 1999. She was a resident of the area for more than 40 years, coming here from Phelps, Wis.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Ruby loved gardening and reading.
Ruby is survived by a son, Edward (Gayle) Walker of Florence, Wis.; a daughter, Judy Carlson of Phelps, Wis.; five stepsons, Raymond (Sue) Lindholm of Mukwonogo, Wis., Robert (Marilyn) Lindholm of Wabeno, Wis., David (Sherry) Lindholm of Brooklyn, lower Michigan, James (Cookie) Lindholm of Whitewater, Wis., and Larry (Joanne) Lindholm of Quinnesec; 10 grandchildren;14 step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and many step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jack Walker, a daughter, Jerri Brown; six brothers, Everett, Elmer, Ray, Lloyd, Ernest, Glenn Miller and two sisters, Beaulah Ledford and Hazel Edwards.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 20, at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 20 at the funeral home. Rev. Ronald Wolfe will officiate.
Burial will be in the Quinnesec cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Immanuel Baptist Church.

Laura M. Perry
FLORENCE, Wis. - Laura M. Perry, 88, of Florence, Wis., died on July 2, 2004, at Florence Villa Nursing Home.
She was born June 19, 1916, in Chippewa, Wis., the daughter of the late Joseph and Myrtle (Wright) Bernard.
Laura enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, fishing, reading books, and doing crossword puzzles. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Robert (Janice) Perry of Madison, Wis.; a sister, Geraldine Slotto of Burlington, Wis., five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, John Perry, and four brothers.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Rev. Andy Schwartz will officiate.

Alfred Cerasoli
IRON MOUNTAIN - Alfred 'Fritz' Cerasoli, 87, of 104 E. Fleshiem St., Iron Mountain, died Monday, June 21, 2004, at Florence Villa Nursing Home.
Fritz was born Aug. 23, 1916, in Iron Mountain, son of the late Alphonse and Bambina (Fontecchio) Cerasoli. He resided in the area his entire life.
Fritz married Nora McMahon on May 4, 1938, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Iron Mountain.
He worked as a truck driver for the city of Iron Mountain for 35 years, retiring in 1978. He was a member of St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Fritz enjoyed gardening and hunting.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Nora; a son, Ron (Patricia) Cerasoli of Kingsford; a daughter-in-law, Sheri Cerasoli of Iron Mountain; a sister, Nelda Fornetti of Iron Mountain; five grandchildren, Todd (Patti Kramer) Cerasoli, Rhonda (Roland) Beeck, Lisa (Pete) Weaver, Lora Cerasoli and Richard A. 'Rick' (fiance' Jen Tyrrell) Cerasoli; and three great-grandchildren, Trish, Krista and Miranda Steinbrecher.
He was preceded in death by a son, Richard 'Dick' Cerasoli; three brothers, Tony, Faust and Victor Cerasoli; and three sisters, Mary Secinaro, Theresa Biedrezski and Peggy Ganga.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Kingsford. Fr. Daniel Zaloga will offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
Burial will be in cemetery Park in Iron Mountain.
