Marion E. Grams
KINGSFORD - Marion E. Grams, 76, of 333 Garfield St., Kingsford, died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004 at her home.
Marion was born on Sept. 5, 1928, in Kingsford, daughter of the late Edward and Elaine (Gendron) LaRoche. She has been a resident of the area for most of her life.
Marion married Robert Grams in Waukegan, Ill. on Oct. 18, 1958. She worked for Bob's Homes for many years as a secretary/book keeper. She enjoyed painting, baking, crafts, gardening, and flowers.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; a daughter, Melody (Mike) Johnson of Granite Bluff; and two grandchildren, Robert Graham and Brianna Johnson.
Marion was preceded in death by a sister, Helen McDaniel and a brother, Norman 'Bud' LaRoche.
Private family services will be held at a later date.

Janet F. Badish
QUINNESEC - Janet F. Badish, 66, of Quinnesec, went to be with the Lord after a lengthy battle with cancer on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004.
Janet was born on Dec. 27, 1937, in Kingsford, the daughter of the late Fred and Isabelle (LeDuc) Schetter. She graduated from Kingsford High School in 1956 and was a resident of the area most of her life.
Janet married Leo Badish on Feb. 1, 1958, at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford. She was a member of American Martyrs Church, Veronica Ann's Circle, the Common Bond Investment Club, the Gardening Angels Garden Club, and the Foxy Loxy Ladies Chapter of the Red Hat Society.
She enjoyed aerobics, cross stitch, line dancing, skiing, golf, crafts, traveling, and shopping.
She is survived by her husband, Leo; five children, Renee (Timothy) Swanson of Kingsford and their daughters, Ellie and Morgan, Denise Warner of Gladstone and her daughter, Paige, Jay Badish of Phoenix, Ariz., Gordon (Cynthia) Badish of Orange County, Calif. and Jill (Gary) Wellner of Appleton, Wis. and their children, Kelly, Russell, Josh, Alee, and Joey; a brother, Fred Schetter Jr. of Wattsburg, Penn.; two sisters, Carol (Clifford) Gendron of New Berlin, Wis. and Maribel (Lloyd) of Graczyk of Columbia Heights, Minn.; a sister-in-law, Joanne Schetter of Iron Mountain, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Janet was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Schetter.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Parish prayers will be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home and at 10 a.m. at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford. Fr. Joseph Gouin will offer the Mass of Christian burial.
Burial will be in the Quinnesec cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dickinson County Cancer Unit-Loan Closet at 1401 1/2 Carpenter Ave., Iron Mountain, Mich. 49801.

Frank Antonetti
IRON MOUNTAIN - Frank Antonetti, 94, of 814 6th St., Iron Mountain, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital.
Frank was born on Aug. 16, 1910, in Loretto, son of the late Benedetto and Rosa (Marchioni) Antonetti. He has been a resident of the Iron Mountain area for most of his life.
He married Crolinda Ballario on June 18, 1936, in Iron Mountain at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on June 5, 2000.
Frank worked as a lumber grader and supervisor for many lumber companies over the years, retiring from Cleveland Cliffs. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his children, Francis Antonetti of Iron Mountain, Margaret (George) Bolding of North Las Vegas, N.V., Mary (Ronald) Elrod of Las Vegas, N.V. and Richard (Mary) Antonetti of Gresham, Ore.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ernest (Ann) Mariucci of Iron Mountain and Ardo (Alma) Mariucci of DePere, Wis.; and a sister, Doris (Gene) Farrington of Kingsford.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Alfred and Guido Antonetti, August 'Moonie' Mariucci, Mario Mariucci, Albert 'Cabbie' Mariucci, Edmond Mariucci, and Dick Mariucci.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.
Services will be held on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home and at 1 p.m on Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Msgr. James Kaczmarek will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Pallbearers will be David and Brian Furber, David and Dan Antonetti, Americo 'Mud' Altobelli, Troy Beasley, and Donald Antonetti.
Burial will be in cemetery Park in Iron Mountain.

Sig Quist
IRON MOUNTAIN - Sigfred W. Quist, 103, formerly of 800 East C St., Iron Mountain, died Monday, Oct. 11, 2004, at Manor Care Health Services in Kingsford.
Sigfred was born on Oct. 5, 1901, in Iron Mountain, son of the late Jacob and Anna (Lidbeck) Quist.
Sig worked as a teller for the First National Bank for more than 40 years, retiring in 1964. He attended First Covenant Church for many years and was a member of the Knights of Pythias.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lillian in 1957, and by his second wife, Grace Beckstrom Quist in 1993.
He traveled extensively with his wife, Grace, making trips to Sweden, Norway, and many European countries.
He is survived by a stepson, Robert (Karen) Beckstrom of Oshkosh, Wis.; two step-grandchildren, Carl (Jenelle) Beckstrom of Indianapolis and Sonja (Tim) Voeller of Whitefish Bay, Wis.; two step great-grandchildren, Ella Marie Beckstrom and Henry Robert Voeller; a cousin, Eva Eslinger of Iron Mountain; and many second cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Peter Erickson will officiate.
Burial will be in cemetery Park in Iron Mountain.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Covenant Church in his memory.

Violet Krans
AURORA - Violet Wahlstrom Krans, 93, of Aurora, Wis. died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.
She was born July 23, 1911, in Aurora, daughter of the late Gust and Anna (Nelson) Wahlstrom. Violet graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1929, and attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
She married Robert D. Krans on July 19, 1932. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1987.
Violet was a lifelong resident of Aurora. She was a long-standing member of the Aurora Free Church and was a treasurer for the ladies aide for many years. She was a member of the over 60's Club of Homestead. She and her husband operated the Quality Dairy Farm for many years. She enjoyed baking, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Violet is survived by five daughters, Marilyn (Jack) Watson of Aurora, Audrey (John Arvid) Carlson of Aurora, Loraine Larson of Aurora, Gayle Trible of Aurora and Karen Andrusco of Sun Prairie, Wis.; 17 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Elmer, Alf, Leonard, and Lawrence Wahlstrom and three sisters, Vera West, Eva Smail, and Ida Ringblom.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Aurora Free Church and on Thursday from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the church.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday at the church. Rev. Karl Utzat will officiate. Burial will be in the Homestead/Aurora cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Robert, Daniel, and David Carlson, Brian, Keith, and Neil Larson and Tim Trible.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her memory.
The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home with the funeral arrangements.

Todd Rose
IRON MOUNTAIN - Todd A. Rose, 39, of Iron Mountain, died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.
He was born on Aug. 28, 1965, in Iron Mountain, son of Vernon and Fern (Anderson) Rose.
Todd graduated from Kingsford High School in 1984. He has been a resident of the area his entire life. Todd was co-owner and operator of Toddy's Pasty Shop in Norway.
Todd loved being with his kids and spending time with his friends. He always gave a helping hand whenever asked. He enjoyed fishing, dirt biking, and deer hunting. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Todd is survived by his children, Cody, Brock, and Haylee Rose, all of Niagara, Wis.; his parents, Vernon and Fern Rose of Kingsford; eight brothers and sisters, Ginger (Tom) Sweig of Niagara, Wis., Craig (Cleo) Rose of Pembine, Wis., Dennis (Imane) Rose of Tulsa, Okla., Brian (Debbie) Rose of Crystal Falls, Sheila (David) Weaver of Iron Mountain, Lynn (Bill) Schultz of Norway, Sue (Don) Okler of Kingsford and Keith Rose of New York. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Todd was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Rose in 1990.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at the Kingsford Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Peter Erickson will officiate.
Burial will be in the Quinnesec cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Todd's memory for his children.
The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home of Kingsford with the funeral arrangements.

Mary Bryant
IRON MOUNTAIN - Mary Nancy Bryant, 85, of 223 West C St., Iron Mountain, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.
She was born on Sept. 6, 1919, the daughter of the late Anton and Jenny (Morabito) Sgarlatti. She has been a lifelong resident of this area.
Mary was a graduate of Iron Mountain High School and worked in the sewing factory during World War II.
She married Francis L. Bryant on Oct. 22, 1949, at St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1998.
She enjoyed cooking Italian food, making pasta, gardening and sewing. She was a member of St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church
She is survived by her son, Ray Bryant of Iron Mountain; her daughter-in-law and special friend, Teresa Bryant of Iron Mountain; sister, Alice Stepanek of Washington DC.; four grandchildren, Leigh (Mike) Begres, Tara Bryant, Michael Bryant and Daniel Bryant; several nieces and nephews and her special friends, Elaine Marlette, Carmen Ambrosia and Sally Scott.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael in 1996; a sister, Antoinette Franczek; and her brothers, Domenic, Joseph and Frank Sgarlatti. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.
The funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Fr. Daniel Zaloga will offer the Mass of the Christian Burial.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Bouche, Jim Fleury, John Franczek, and Tom Maraccini
Burial will be in cemetery Park.
The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the funeral arrangements.
