Angela Muzzy
IRON MOUNTAIN - Angela Marie Muzzy, formerly of 601 West 'B' St., Iron Mountain, died Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at the Hyland Nursing Home.
She was born in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Lawrence and Adeline (Stephanelli) Quadrani. Angela was a life long resident of Iron Mountain and graduated from the Iron Mountain High School. She graduated from St. Anthony's Hospital in Chicago with a registered nursing degree.
On May 18, 1946, she married Kenneth Muzzy. He preceded her in death on April 9, 1999.
Angela was a member of St. Mary and St. Joseph Church, a former member of the nurses association, and a former member of the Daughter's of Isabella. She loved to sew and enjoyed baking.
She is survived by one daughter, Sr. Kay Muzzy of Adrian, lower Michigan; three sons, Kenneth and Laurie Corbin-Muzzy of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Larry Muzzy of Iron Mountain, and Terry (Martie) Muzzy of Honey Brook, Pa.; one brother, Anthony 'Buddy' Quadrani of Kingsford; three sisters, Ann Petrus, Eleanor Sovey, and Marge (Arthur) Frankini, all of Iron Mountain and three grandchildren, Olga Muzzy, Taylor and Chris Muzzy.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Jeanette Butsic, Rosemary Quadrani, and infant sister, Katherine.
Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday at American Martyrs Church in Kingsford.
A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at American Martyrs Church with Fr. Joseph Gouin officiating.
Burial will be in cemetery Park.
The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the funeral arrangements.

Dorothy Palluconi
IRON MOUNTAIN - Dorothy H. Palluconi, 93, of 1304 Grand Boulevard Circle, Iron Mountain, died Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at Florence Villa Nursing Home in Florence, Wis.
She was born on Jan. 11, 1912, in Iron Mountain, the daughter of the late Charles and Emma (Chapelle) Hoag. Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Iron Mountain. She attended Iron Mountain Schools including Hulst Junior High, Iron Mountain High and Dundon Business College.
She married Angelo Palluconi and he preceded her in death in 1977. She worked for the Carpenter-Cook Co. in Iron Mountain and Escanaba, United Garment Co. and Security Sportswear in Iron Mountain and at Quilliam Accounting and Lake Superior Lumber Co.
Dorothy was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Hospital League. She was an avid gardener, an excellent cook and enjoyed crocheting and knitting.
She is survived by her son, Frank (Benita) Palluconi of Pasadena, Calif.; two sisters, Ardis Geske of Wausau, Wis. and Gwendolyn Boccio of California; two grandchildren, Brett (April) Palluconi of Escondido, Calif. and Gabrielle Palluconi of Pasadena; and two grandchildren, Sarah and Ashley Palluconi.
In addition to her husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys and three brothers, Arthur, Edward, and Albert.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. today at the Tondin-Ross & Freeman Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home and at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
Burial will be in cemetery Park.
The Tondin-Ross & Freeman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Camille Frigo
ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Camille Patrick Frigo, 83, of St. Louis, formerly of Chicago, died Monday, May 16, 2005, at Town and Country Nursing Home in St. Louis.
He was born on March 17, 1922, the son of the late Pasquale and Camilla (Rocheleau) Frigo.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, receiving the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
Camille worked as a cheesemaker and a salesman for Frigo Cheese in Florence and Chicago. He was a devoted father and husband. He was a generous man who gave freely of his time and resources.
He married Veronica Smith on Nov. 29, 1951, in Eagle River, Wis. She preceded him in death on Sept. 22, 2003.
Camille is survived by one son, Daniel (Valerie) of St. Louis; two daughters, Kathy (Christopher) Maret of St. Louis and Colleen (Gregory) Dortch of Arlington Heights, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Jonathon and Samuel Frigo, Jacob and Eve Maret, and Melissa, Christina, Brittney, and Gregory Dortch; a great-granddaughter, Brianna Dortch; three brothers, Tony (Frances), Fr. Billy, and Paul; three sisters, Teresa Zappatelli Sr. Pasqualine, and Pasqualina (John) Young; a sister-in-law, Fran Frigo; a brother-in-law; Gildo DeMuri; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by by five brothers, Pete, Frances, Leo, Dominic, and Pio Frigo and three sisters, Mary Louise Frigo, Philomena Klee and Christine DeMuri.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Tondin-Ross & Freeman Funeral Home and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Aurora.
Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Fr. Billy Frigo will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.
Burial will be in cemetery Park.
Graveside military rites will be accorded by the Uren-Cooper-Johnson Post 50.
The Tondin-Ross & Freeman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Jerold Pierce
BRISTOL, Va. - Jerold Roman Pierce, 54, of 5012 Gate City Highway, Bristol, Va., entered into his heavenly home on Saturday, May 14, 2005.
'Jerry' was born on May 11, 1951, in Duluth, son of Delores and the late Roman Pierce. He graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1969 and from Northern Michigan University in 1973.
He married Christy Rae Walters at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain on July 8, 1972.
Upon graduation from Northern Michigan University, he began working for Ford Motor Credit Co. He remained with Ford for 32 years starting as a repossessor in Saginaw, lower Michigan. After 10 years, he transferred to Dallas then to Amarillo, Texas. In 1988, he moved to Albuquerque, N.M. as FMC branch operations manager and later as a dealer account representative.
He and Christy made many great friendships wherever they were located. Retirement in 2004, took them to Bristol where they enjoyed being closer to their two grandsons.
Jerry was a member of Highlands Fellowship Church in Abingdon, Va. He was a life member of Optimists International and had served as president of the Northwest Optimist Club in Albuquerque. Jerry was an avid Minnesota Vikings and New Mexico Lobos fan and often ushered at Lobos games.
He loved to fish with his son and nephews and was looking forward to teaching his grandsons the fine art of fishing. Jerry was a very giving and unselfish person and loved volunteering and helping wherever he was needed.
He also enjoyed being a part of a chase crew for hot air ballooning while in Albuquerque and was instrumental in bringing relatives and friends to their first experience of hot air ballooning.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Christy; one daughter, Heidi (Gary) McGeough of Bristol; one son, Ryan (Debbie) of Albuquerque; two special grandsons, Tyler, age 5, and Austin, age 9 months, McGeough of Bristol; his mother, Delores 'Dee' Pierce; three sisters, Nancy (Rick) Anderson and Wendy (Mark) Warmuth all of Iron Mountain; and Pam (Dan) Janish of St. Croix, Virgin Islands; one brother, Randy (Deanna) of Negaunee; his mother and father-in-law, Harlan and Orice Walters of Iron Mountain; two brother-in-laws, Lennie (special friend, Lorrie) and Tim Walters both of Iron Mountain; and sister-in-law, Sally (Bill) Borga; and many very special nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was an infant daughter, Chelsea Rae, and his father, Roman Pierce.
The visitation will be on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church on S. Stephenson Ave in Iron Mountain.
The Celebration of Life Service begins at 12 noon with Rev. Peter Jonas officiating
Pallbearers will be Rick Anderson, Mark Warmuth, Lennie Walters, Tim Walters and Bill Borga.

Eugene Mainville
MARQUETTE - Eugene Joseph Mainville, 42, of Marquette, died Saturday, May 14, 2005, at the Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain .
He was born March 25, 1963, in Iron Mountain, beloved son of the late Norman and Caroline (Anderson) Mainville. Gene was a graduate of Kingsford High School. He worked as a carpenter for Curran Construction. He loved hunting and fishing, fast cars and racing. He was very proud of the cabin he built in Covington.
Gene is survived by his daughters, Christina Mainville and her mother, Jodi Mainville, of Lake Havasu City, Ariz. and Hanna Anderson, and her mother, Lori Anderson of Denver; brothers and sisters, Ann Mainville-Thompson of Iron Mountain, Lois Mainville-Hughes, beloved sister, of Grand Junction, Colo., James Mainville of Iron Mountain, and Patricia (Wayne) Mainville-Stranger of Syracuse, Utah; trusting friend and employer Mark (Melissa) Curran, owners of Curran Construction of Marquette; many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins and best friends, Carolyn Neumann and her son, Joseph Paulat, of Felch.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Mainville, and sisters, Paula and Carmen Mainville.
A Graveside service is scheduled for Wednesday, July 6, at 11 a.m. at cemetery Park in Iron Mountain. Fr. Joseph Gouin will officiate.
In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in his memory.

Alice Murray
IRON MOUNTAIN - Alice Mae Murray, 96, of Iron Mountain, died Saturday, May 14, 2005, at Freeman's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Kingsford.
She was born on April 16, 1909, daughter of the late Chester and Jenny (Grandberg) Bettison.
She married Walter Murray on Oct. 15, 1928, in Negaunee, and he preceded her in death in 1982.
She enjoyed sewing and knitting for others, doing crossword puzzles, and cooking.
Alice is survived by her daughter, Jill (Bob) Welker of Iron Mountain; grandchildren, Shari (Jeff) Mueller, Tracy (Gary) Morgan, and Robert (Shelly) Welker; great-grandchildren, Ashley Mueller and Colin and Aurora Welker; and one cousin, Louis (Elmer) Sarasin.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharilyn (William) Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.
The funeral service will be at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Peter Jonas will officiate.
Burial will be in Negaunee cemetery.
The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the funeral arrangements.

Maybelle Johnston
KINGSFORD - Maybelle Marie Johnston, 88, of 309 Beech St., Kingsford, died, Friday, May 13, 2005, at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford.
She was born on May 19, 1916, in Iron River, daughter of the late John and Anna (Possi) Sala. She graduated from Kingsford High School.
Maybelle married Leslie Johnston on July 18, 1945, and he preceded her in death on January 17, 2000.
She worked at the Marinello Beauty Salon from 1939-1945. She owned and operated Maybelle's Beauty Shop for more than 50 years.
She was a member of American Martyrs Catholic Church, St. Barbara's Circle, and the Humane Society. She really enjoyed her work in life.
She is survived by a sister, Rita Sparapani of Kingsford; a nephew, Michael (Rebekah) Sparapani of Florida and a niece, Annie Sparapani of Kingsford.
Maybelle was preceded in death by a brother in-law, Michael Sparapani.
She will be missed dearly by her family, friends, and her special little dog, Bunny.
Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford.
The funeral Mass will follow Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the church. Fr. Joseph Gouin will offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
Burial will be in Quinnesec cemetery.
A nephew, Bill Johnson and members of the Knights of Columbus will assist as pallbearers.
The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the funeral arrangements.
